My first marathon. Restoring the remains

Although finishing your first marathon is an exciting accomplishment, the journey is far from over. It’s possible to experience a mixture of happiness and tiredness after crossing the finish line. Now that your body has overcome a significant obstacle, it is time to concentrate on healing. This stage is essential to making sure you recover stronger and stay injury-free.

After a marathon, healing your body requires more than just resting. In order to support your body’s healing process, you must pay attention to what it is telling you. This entails getting enough rest, water, and food. A well-balanced diet high in vitamins, carbohydrates, and proteins will help you gain back energy and repair your muscles.

Hydration is essential in addition to diet. It will be easier to replenish lost fluids during the race if you drink lots of water and electrolyte-rich beverages. Additionally, never discount the importance of rest. It’s important to give your muscles time to heal, so think about adding easy exercises to your routine, like walking or light stretching.

Recovering is a gradual process, remember that. Don’t go back to working out hard right away. Rather, give yourself time to bask in your success and allow your body to fully heal. You’ll be positioning yourself for future success and reaping the rewards of your marathon accomplishment for many years to come if you follow these steps.

How it is

My hair is straight and thin, typical of a "Slavic." I have always worn my hair natural or dyed in a single color without bleaching, and I have never experienced any particular issues. However, after using the air touch technique for bleaching in December of last year, I had to reevaluate my care. I discovered one that was almost perfect, and after two bleachings, I was able to survive until summer. picture taken during the second process.

This is where the "hole" at the ends is visible. I tore it off by accident because my hair got tangled in the elastic. Only silk now.) I didn’t intentionally cut it off because I intended to let it grow a little longer before trimming off everything that wasn’t needed. I have my hair cut in layers; it looks great on me.)

It appears like this after a few months:

I somehow failed to consider fixing it at the back.) Everything was good overall, but I wanted to trim the ends and add extra moisture.

However, life had other plans, and I was forced to spend the majority of the summer at the dacha. I made an effort to look after it, but the hard water, frequent lake swimming, and intense physical labor pretty much got the better of me. I will therefore carefully choose the care for next summer. We make do with what we have in the interim.)

This is the typical appearance of my hair.) I tried sleeping with braids now, and they don’t tangle at all, but this is where the wave is. I don’t even use a straightener. As you can see, there are breaks all the way along, the ends are frayed, and the "hole" has gotten bigger. I don’t mind the length; 64 cm is the measurement taken from the top of the head. The tail is 7.5 cm thick at the back of the head.

The average is 64, but there are even longer tails. Thus, length exists; I’m not pursuing it just yet.) I can cut 10–14 cm with ease and get good results.

The ends are closer together, and it’s evident that cutting would be simple beneath the elastic.

What are the goals of the marathon

  • Understand the care. I"m a little slow in the scheme "moisturizing – nutrition – restoration". This only applies to masks or to balms and shampoos, and leave-in products? Sort out the care, throw out the outsiders, try something new.
  • Get a haircut and dye your hair.) Update the canvas and keep it in good condition all the time.)
  • Reconsider your habits.) Stop wrapping your hair in whatever comes to hand in a "bun", buy a silk pillowcase, don"t comb it. Don"t sleep with wet hair, yes, sometimes such a sin yes. 🙁

Current care. Washables

1. Shampoo for Bed Head Recovery by TIGI. hydrating shampoo for hair that is damaged. After much searching, I found this shampoo. There were numerous requirements, including not to form a lump, to rinse thoroughly, to not itch the head, to not smell (I have an extremely sensitive nose), and to be reasonably priced. At five, it manages all of this! I don’t intend to alter it. Adding a balm from the same line to it is something I want to try.

2. Brestorative conditioner for hair that has been visually damaged. Something that I find controversial. It makes no sense to use it "naked" after shampooing; in fact, if you apply too little, it can make matters worse. Three to four squeezes are needed to get the desired results. Theoretically, it ought to be thrown out, but I explain why I don’t do this and why "controversial, not bad" below.

3. Masca for hair that is colored InSight Hair Color. This product is great! In addition to providing outstanding shine, it also delicately scents of springtime flowers and properly nourishes hair, eliminating frizz. Since I’m almost out of it, I’ll definitely get another. And all is well, however.

It’s twice as awesome with this balm! I’m not sure what kind of magic this balm will work if applied after the mask.) Thus, in my opinion, this balm is worthless when used alone, but this pair is fantastic! I’m at a loss now; either "it works – don’t touch it" and purchase them as a pair without straining my mind, or attempt to replace them with a single item, which will require more searching. How do you feel?

4. Professional Blond Bar Mask with Anti-Yellow Effect from Mask Kapous. Purple or neutralizing mask.

My hairdresser suggested that I use a mask because purple shampoos tend to dry out my hair. I never succeeded in using them. I’m happy with the results; the hair is shiny, silky, and easy to comb after use, and the bleached strands don’t turn yellow. But there’s a major drawback. Take a whiff! I use it less frequently than necessary because of how awful it smells and how my hand jerks away from the thought of having to put up with it. I therefore intend to locate something akin to it that doesn’t smell as bad.

Kérastase Blond Absolu Shampoo and Mask, numbers 6 and 7.

I always end up at Kerastase, no matter how the rope twists.) Since I started using it in 2017 (I’ve taken different courses depending on my needs), I occasionally get struck with the idea that "yes, you can find something cheaper and no worse!" Yes, but I spit and go buy it after my girlfriends tear apart another basket of products and the check for the "search" turns out to be larger than the tested one.

I just received this series a few days ago and have only used it once, so far I have mixed feelings about it. What I enjoyed:

  • The shampoo washes the scalp perfectly, better than Tiji, and at the same time there is no unpleasant tightness.
  • The mask perfectly moisturizes and removes fluffiness.
  • Hair shines very beautifully!
  • Excellent unobtrusive aroma!
  1. Although the skin is washed perfectly, but it confuses a little, so Tiji does not allow this. 🙁
  2. Although the mask is good, it doesn’t have the “wow” effect of the InSight pair. And if after washing with them I could dry my hair naturally, and then just comb it and everything is fine, then here you need to dry it with a hairdryer until it’s completely dry, otherwise the nest is ready.
  3. The packaging itself. I’m used to dispensers and tubes.) It’s unusual to use such large lids again.)

We’ll therefore see how things go with everyone; frequently, one instance does not necessarily indicate future success.)

As an added bonus, a couple of travel versions.

I frequently travel for work and require products "just to wash my hair."

Shampoo and mask by Kérastase Resistance Force Architecte. Versions for travel.

That’s my one true love.) In 2017, I began watching this series. They seem perfect, so don’t worry and just buy one, but there’s a catch: if you use it frequently, after five washes, I get snot instead of hair. Like dejected icicles, they hung there as though I had never cleaned my hair. However, if I use "a little," it always works. It also functions flawlessly in both soft and hard water.

And I use a scalp scrub once every three weeks. Right now, I have:

For the scalp, Ollin Professional Full Force Peeling with Bamboo Extract.

Its little tube format—one tube equals one wash—was appealing to me. The item in question is 3. The skin appears to have been well-washed, and the hair appears gorgeous. However, I discovered after the third use that my head began to itch a few days later and that some inflammations had even appeared. It disappeared after using shampoo to wash. I didn’t know if it was the body’s reaction or if I hadn’t cleaned it thoroughly, but that’s improbable. There’s one remaining, and I’m debating whether to use it or hunt for another.

Leave-in products

1. Oil for all varieties of hair Kérastase Ultimate Elixir. I am also a veteran, having purchased it in 2017.) Needed, particularly in the winter when the batteries get extremely hot. I apply it to slightly damp hair after washing. There’s not much left, so I might give it another go.

2. Night Nourishing Serum Kérastase Nutritive Irisome. I"ve had it for a year now. I bought it by accident, a consultant recommended it, but at that time I had natural hair and I didn"t understand its effect at all. Yes, it"s a little softer, yes, it tangles less, well, it smells nice and that"s it.) I used it haphazardly). After bleaching, it"s a completely different matter. The probability of waking up with a nest in the morning is practically zero, even if you consider that I toss and turn in my sleep. It"s enough to just go through it with a comb and that"s it, you can go out). I use it on the second and subsequent nights after washing.

3. A hair end elixir Pro Salon Pro Estel. repair. Unintentionally, I bought it as soon as I got home. Since the morning of the second day, I have been using it. It also seems to be able to handle the task at hand; the ends are smooth and not too ripped, but it smells really strong to me. I’ll finish it, but I most certainly won’t purchase it.

4. Constant Delight: A 12-in-1 spray-elixir for damaged and thin hair. When my hair gets tangled and I need to find a way to untangle it, I use it as an SOS product and as a heat protectant. It handles this with great efficiency! I don’t ask for more from it, so I’ll try something else when it runs out.
