Smooth and long hair is my dream

A lot of us aspire to have long, silky hair that is perfect in appearance and feels silky to the touch. It’s a style that never goes out of favor and immediately elevates any ensemble. Although getting this kind of hair can seem difficult, it is totally doable with the correct maintenance and advice.

There are numerous actions you can take to move closer to your dream, from selecting the appropriate products to shielding your hair from harm. Whether your hair is naturally curly or straight, there are methods to help you get that polished, streamlined look.

To help you finally have the hair you’ve always desired, we’ll go over the best techniques for growing and taking care of long, smooth hair in this article.

For many people, having long, silky hair is the epitome of beauty, grace, and simplicity. The results are well worth the time, care, and proper techniques required to achieve this look. Everyone can strive for sleek, shiny, and healthy long hair that accentuates their inherent beauty and increases their confidence with the correct hair care regimen and products.

What does the degree of shine and smoothness depend on

This has been the subject of numerous books, posts, articles, and other writings. For example, you can read a ton of theory about shine specifically here, here, and here. This includes information on where shine originates.

To reiterate, it’s all about the cuticle: smooth and shiny hair results from a tightly pressed cuticle.

If not, we have thick hair that is duller, less shiny, or completely non-shiny.

New hair trend "glass hair"

Naturally, yesterday did not see the emergence of the "glass hair" (smooth and shiny) trend. However, in the realm of celebrities and "high fashion," it has been steadily assuming the top spots. In addition, it’s a continuation of the movement toward a healthier way of living (unhealthy hair can’t shine that way). However, in this instance, having healthy hair alone is insufficient; it must appear "melted"โ€”perfectly smooth and insanely shiny.

How to achieve the effect like this so-called "glass" hair

There are many ways to get the glass hair effect at home and in salons (and even without getting hurt!). Obviously, a hair care regimen is the first and most crucial item.

The "glass hair" look can be obtained through nanoplasty, hair botox, and keratinization. Many people worry about the quality of their hair and are afraid of these procedures. Of course, they have a quick effect, but improperly chosen aftercare or a breach of the technology of application can cause the structure of the hair to deteriorate and cause brittleness and split ends.

A straightening iron can be the easiest, most affordable, and readily available way to achieve amazing shine and smoothness. However, the detrimental effects of continuously using high temperatures are well known to us (thanks to hundreds of posts), even in the case of thermal protection.

Salon procedures

A single salon procedure can give you shiny, smooth hair in addition to keratin, botox, and other treatments, but you should be aware that the results are transient.

Salons now have a wide range of options, from luxurious to reasonably priced. Regularity and consistency are the key requirements for achieving a positive cumulative effect that is simple and affordable to maintain at home.

Care systems chosen on an individual basis from different brands:

"Curiosity for hair" (IAU Salon maintenance) Melt/cell care) Lebel: a cutting-edge initiative designed to repair molecular damage.

Four-step hair restoration The Joico K-Pak (Hair Repairing System) is a comprehensive process for reconstructing and restoring hair.

Keratin prosthetics L"anza (Ultimate treatment) is a special technique that provides a potent instantaneous effect for deep hair reconstruction.

Hair bolstering Keratin healing oil emergency service, or L"anza, is designed to repair damaged areas and can fortify even the most severely damaged hair.

Redken Chemistry offers multi-phase hair damage repair programs with cutting-edge formulas.

With Paul Mitchell Shine Screening, your hair will receive intense moisture, nourishment, suppleness, and defense against UV rays and the elements.

And a great deal more.

Additionally, hair lamination, biolamination, screening, and elumination procedures are available to you at any salon.

Hair biolamination aims to smooth and protect hair by applying a protective layer to the surface of the cuticle. It differs from the traditional one due to its more delicate compositions. The procedure leaves the hair smooth and silky but also manageable, shiny, and protected.

For instance, elumination (color lamination) Goldwell Elumentary (2 in 1 at once) or lamination Sebastian Professional Laminates Cellophanes (protein restoration and amazing shine).

Almost all professionals worth their salt offer classic lamination.hair brands include Zab, Sebastian, Dikson, Matrix, Illinois, Estel, Constant Delight, and many more.

Options for home use

Less steps are involved and lighter formulations are used for home use. When choosing products, it’s important to consider the type and condition of the hair. For porous hair, this means that in addition to using products to nourish and smooth the hair, you also need to stretch the hair with a brush to achieve a mirror-like finish.

It is advised to use products like Redken Heat Cure, Davines The Quick Fix Circle, and The Renaissance to combat brittle ends. Dry oil (e.g., Hair Assistant from Davines, Kerastase, Olaplex) is required to add gloss and super shine; however, apply only after thoroughly massaging the oil in your palms to avoid overloading the hair.

Rehab lines for use at home:

Extreme House Restoration Express Program: Line Luminoil Elgon.

Keratin Inbrya: Repairs severely damaged hair.

Hair aim is restored and restored with Biolage Keratindose Matrix.

In addition to the frequently written line for at-home recovery products like Kerastase, Loreal, Olaplex, and Davines. These days, they and physical stores provide a wide range of reasonably priced options for at-home procedures (you can buy mini-versions, not salon volumes), so you can select the best shine care.

My experiment

I frequently write about how much I adore my hair’s shine and smoothness; in this instance, the structure helps me. However, occasionally, particularly in damp weather, the hair starts to shamelessly curl and become confused. This spring, I underwent a Botox procedure for my hair, and the results were amazing in terms of both my appearance and quality. Unfortunately, the effect does not last as long as we would have liked; a month later, it is hardly noticeable.

It is advised to have the procedure done no more frequently than once every three months. You are welcome to attempt keratin, but I haven’t made up my mind yet. Despite the fact that our beauties are an incredible experience. That is the reason I was searching for a Botox substitute. I haven’t touched fillers or other ampoules in a few months because they no longer satisfy me.

And after doing some research, I decided to have "cold Botox" done.

"Cold” Botox

The primary and most significant distinction between "hot" and "cold" Botox treatments is that the latter do not involve the use of a thermal iron. We are all well aware of the damaging effects of high temperatures, particularly on damaged hair. Generally speaking, the process is meant to enhance the health of the hair, as stated by the manufacturers. which additionally reveals the composition, which is the same for all brands but varies:

  • Keratin
  • Collagen
  • Amino acids
  • Proteins
  • Vitamins
  • Plant extracts
  • Hyaluronic acid.

Many brands, including BB One, Cadiveu, JKeratin, Nano Brazil, Mulsan, Paul Oscar, Felps, and many more, offer cold recovery procedures.

The primary drawback of the process is its brittleness: whereas the effects of standard ("hot") Botox last for three months, those of "cold" Botox only last for one month. Additionally, the process has a compounding effect. To achieve the best and most durable result, it is advised to perform 3โ€“8 procedures spaced 2-4 weeks apart for consolidation.

Of course, don’t forget about aftercare: rinse off and leave-in treatments are essential, drying with a cool air blowdryer is suggested, and washing in warm or cool water with a gentle, non-aggressive shampoo is required.

Furthermore, your hair will be extremely glossy, dense, and smoothโ€”it won’t straighten hair that is curly or wavy, though!

What I require!

Mulsan Cold BTX instant recovery

It is no longer necessary to purchase professional volumes of 500โ€“1000 ml of "cold" Botox, as there are now a variety of types available at different price points. (which is completely impractical for home use, starting from the expiration date and ending with the fact the product may simply not suit). For a novice, the majority of brands offer 50โ€“100 ml mini-versions, also known as samples.

I decided to go with the domestic brand Mulsan’s "cold" botox because it was reasonably priced, had an average volume (400 ml), and had received positive feedback both online and off. The fact that I used this brand’s classic Botox, which totally satisfied me (to be honest, I did not notice the difference with more expensive and well-known brands), also played a part.

Composition:

Aqua, Glycine, Alanine, Serine, Valine, Proline, Threonine, Isoleucine, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Perfume, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, and Quaternium-87.

Composition in more detail:

Sebacic Acid (sebacic acid) – a derivative of Hydrogenated Castor Oil, binds to collagen and improves its mechanical properties, in addition to moisturizing agents, it is used in formulas to improve skin elasticity and surface texture. Behentrimonium Methosulfate (behentrimonium methosulfate) – emulsifier is very gentle and careful on the skin, does not irritate either the skin or the hair, is often used to prepare leave-in hair products, has excellent conditioning properties and gives a pleasant emulsion, tames unruly hair, gives shine.Beta-Glucan (beta glucan) – polysaccharide, prebiotic. Improves local immunity, restores, protects against UV radiation.Arginine (arginine) – amino acid, intensifies collagen production, stimulates growth.Serine (serine) – amino acid, used as a moisturizing component in cosmetic emulsions, antistatic.Alanine (alanine) – non-polar, hydrophobic amino acid, synthesized mainly from pyruvate and L-glutamate, balances the moisture level of the skin, thereby providing improved hydration.Valine (valine) – synthetic antistatic, conditioning.Proline (proline) – natural component, conditioner for skin and hair.Threonine (threonine)– essential amino acid. Together with other amino acids, it participates in the formation of collagen and elastin, maintaining protein balance in the skin. Stimulates the formation of keratin (the main protein in the hair structure), strengthens the hair, gives it additional volume and intense color. Reduces hair brittleness and dryness.Isoleucine (isoleucine) โ€” is one of the three branched-chain amino acids, along with leucine and valine, maintains optimal skin hydration levels, participates in the skin regeneration process.Aspartic Acid (aspartic acid) – conditioning of skin and hair, nourishes and regenerates skin, moisturizer, antistatic, whitening component, rejuvenating.Argan Oil (argan oil) – a unique oil consisting of 80% unsaturated fatty acids. A large amount of vitamin E in argan oil protects cells from the harmful effects of free radicals.Hydrolyzed Keratin (hydrolyzed keratin) – increases hair strength, increases manageability and elasticity, provides hair protection during coloring and styling, has a beneficial effect on nails and has regenerating properties.Behenamidopropyl Dimethylamine (behenamidopropyl dimethylamine) – hair conditioning, antistatic effect, synthetic emulsifier.Hydrolyzed Keratin (keratin) – patches damage to hair.Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride (cationic (silk) guar) โ€“ is the result of processing guar seeds, which is an excellent cosmetic thickener and gelling agent, has a good effect on hair and scalp, makes hair silky and soft, restores its structure, and also acts as an antistatic agent.

I can’t help but notice the product’s extremely rich composition; in addition to providing a cosmetic shine, it is made to precisely strengthen and restore our curls.

Methods of using Cold BTX instant recovery

It is evident that using our "cold" botox in a "hot" manner can also yield the best results. However, since I bought Cold BTX specifically to avoid using the iron ever again (especially since I still have some "classic" botox), I did not test this method. I want to try this method for the whole experience in the future.

Thus, let us proceed to.

Techniques of use No. 2 and No. 3

I started by utilizing a thermal cap (option #2) to test the composition of Cold BTX.

I started by using Mulsan SHGO to wash my hair. I’ve already used the Botox/Keratin kit for two SHGOs now. I’ll tell you right away that I prefer these shampoos over traditional deep cleaning ones. They do not make hair a "dry broom," but they do seem to clean better.

Subsequently, you must apply the Cold BTX composition.

Our Botox comes in a white bottle with a twist-out dispenser and a pot belly (everything worked out for me this time around).

The product itself is medium-thick in consistency, soft yellowish in color, and has a strong melon scent (I believe it’s BomBibom gum from the 1990s). Also absent is the "poisonous" odor of the "classics."

It is worth noting another plus in using "cold" botox:

It is imperative to apply the composition meticulously to guarantee that no strand is overlooked. Unlike the classic version, though, there’s no need to use a comb with lots of teeth to remove any excess product from the strands and distribute the composition evenly throughout them. It takes a while, you have time to enjoy the unattractive "aroma," and a lot of hair needs to be combed out. Utilizing the "cold" option eliminates the need for these actions.

It’s very easy to apply and distribute the composition throughout the hair.

I wore a shower cap with a thermal cap on top, and I held it for half an hour. I go wash it off after waiting for the hair to cool.

The hair is simply silkyโ€”soft, untangled, and elasticโ€”after rinsing.

It makes sense that the manufacturer would not recommend wearing masks following the procedure given how amazing the hair feels and how little more appears to be required. Even when wet, the hair is perfectly combed.

I use a hairdryer with warm air to dry it after applying a leave-in cream. I simply comb it while it dries rather than pulling it out with a brush. Saying that the effect is stunning is a copious understatement.

It’s hard to believe the hair is that thick, silky, and shiny. I’ll write something trivial because I can’t stop wanting to touch them. They are extraordinarily soft and flawlessly smooth. If softness is nearly always present (unless you use thickening agents excessively, of course), then smoothness can occasionally falter, particularly right now with the extreme humidity outside and the heating at home.

Regarding the shine, it’s just amazing.

Naturally, the pictures came out weird (my spouse played around with the settings at home because, well, the sun isn’t gonna come out anytime soon). However, you can see how shiny the hair is in sporadic pictures. The shine is glossy and gentle, giving the hair the appearance of laminate.

People who had "cold" botox reported that their shine was much brighter and more intense than it was during the "hot" procedure, based on the reviews I read.

Regarding the ends, I would like to comment separately that they have been bothering me again as of late (less than two months have passed since the last haircut). Split ends and overt brittleness are not noticeable to me, but the hairs at the ends frequently bend and cling in odd ways. The ends have a significant change in appearance after the Botox procedure; they are now smooth and extremely dense.

Although I’m not sure how long the effects will last, I beg you to please notice the improved state of the ends. These qualities are retained by the hair for a few washes, after which the effect starts to wane. However, I did not observe a decline in quality; rather, the hair just goes back to how it was. And this is the benefit of such procedures, in my opinion as well.

Three weeks later, I gave the third optionโ€”using Cold BTXโ€”a try. I cleaned it with regular shampoo instead of using SHGO. Next, I applied the Cold BTX composition, spreading it evenly throughout the strands (the application process is essentially the same as that of a standard mask). After letting it sit for half an hour, rinse it off.

And like magic, the hair changed back into silk without the need for heating or "tambarine dancing."

Separately, I would like to point out that the root zone riot (where the composition was not applied) indicates that the photos were taken in an extremely humid environment (it has been raining for several days). That is, by using this amazing solution as a mask, you can obtain a silk canvas. Indeed, the impact is even more transient. When gorgeous hair is needed right now, I would suggest using this method (without hassles and harm to them).
