As we can see, keratin itself—designated as HYDROLYZED KERATIN—is completely absent from the composition. Why the manufacturer refers to this product as keratin and the process that uses it as keratin straightening is beyond me, but I’m not one to criticize compositions. It’s possible that a partially inaccurate translation led to this name modification, but I’m not a chemist or a technologist, so I can’t really judge. It is still true that this procedure is referred to as "keratin straightening" in all online sources; I chose to highlight this rather than change its name.
Now that the description and composition have been resolved, let’s get right to the process.
How to use
- Wash your hair twice with SHGO.
- Dry your hair with a hairdryer 100%.
- Apply the composition to your hair strand by strand, avoiding excess.
- Leave the composition on your hair for 20 minutes.
- Dry your hair with warm/cold air of a hairdryer 100%.
- Divide your hair into zones and start evaporating with an iron, temperature 210 – 230 °C (depending on the type and condition of your hair), 8 – 15 times for each strand.
- Let your hair cool naturally, rinse off the composition completely and finish the procedure with a mask.
- Dry your hair with a hairdryer.
Application procedure
You must wash your hair with a deep cleansing shampoo before beginning the procedure. To save time, I did this at home using my OLLIN SERVICE LINE SHAMPOO-PEELING PH 7.0 deep cleansing shampoo.
I shampooed my hair twice; the second time, I let the shampoo sit for a good two to three minutes before using a hair dryer to dry it.
Every subsequent action was completed by a salon specialist. After dividing the area I wished to straighten, the expert applied the ideal quantity of the composition to extremely thin strands. This is crucial; if there is any excess, the composition cannot be "evaporated" from the hair. To avoid tangling the hair and remove extra composition after applying, comb through each strand of hair using a comb with many teeth.
There is no need to wrap or cover the hair; the composition must remain on the hair for 20 minutes. Because the composition forms a kind of crust, the hair gets hard during the designated holding time.
A crucial step is up next: the hair needs to be dried completely. My hairdresser has a very powerful and high-quality hair dryer, but even with that, I had to dry my hair for a very long time because my hair is very nourishing and rich. This process took us thirty to thirty-five minutes.
I should mention that I did not experience any unpleasant odor or watery eyes while using a hairdryer to dry my hair; instead, the composition has a pleasant, fruity scent. Hair following the full drying of the composition:
Using an iron to "evaporate" the composition is the next and equally crucial step.
The type of hair and level of damage must be taken into consideration when choosing the straightening temperature. The stylist selected a temperature of 200 °C for my hair, which has been bleached multiple times. It is important to choose the precise amount of "pulls" with an iron. In my case, the hairdresser used an iron to create 8–10 "pulls" down the length and 4 on the ends, which is plenty for this section of hair. Working fast is essential; avoid using the iron for extended periods of time on any one area of hair.
The hair appears as follows after the composition has "evaporated":
To be honest, my unruly bangs stood on end at the composition’s "evaporation" stage after receiving Rich Infinity keratin straightening (see photo on the left); however, following the application of Happy Hair Professional’s BB Plastia composition, my hair was already flawless at this point (see photo on the right):
Next, allow the hair to cool naturally before using water and no shampoo to remove the keratin. The hairdresser advised that I get Tefia’s Post Color Stabilizing Plasma treatment to finish the process after washing off the composition.

How to use
Use Tefia Mypoint Post Color Stabilizing Shampoo to remove the coloring mixture after coloring. After rubbing the plasma between wet palms until it foams, apply to hair, hold it for a minute, and then rinse it well.
Application procedure
The master gave my hair a post-color stabilizing plasma treatment without using shampoo after I rinsed the straightening composition. When this product comes into contact with water, its gel consistency changes to mousse. It smells very nice, like a salon. Although the manufacturer suggests applying this product as the last step in coloring, we found that it works well as a finishing treatment following other salon procedures. We applied the product, let it sit in the sink for five minutes, and then rinsed it off. The hairdresser used a brush and a hairdryer (warm air) to finish drying the hair after towel drying.
The process of straightening hair is finished.
