Gastro-week: brunch at Pomme Verte, Lucky Group x LIQ petbar and winter menu at Garage Café

If you think our city has become too quiet after the holidays, you just haven't seen this week's posters yet. Restaurants and bars are recharging their batteries and preparing plenty of reasons to get out of the house.

We have compiled a list of the three most interesting gastronomic events that are definitely worth keeping in mind. From a hearty brunch in a cozy bakery to a party with pets and an updated winter menu at a cult venue, there is something for everyone.

Let's take a look at where you can go for new flavors and a warm atmosphere these days. We guarantee you won't be bored.

New Year's menu at KM20

2 stoleshnikov Lane, Building 1

The holiday season kicks off at KM20. And with it, chef Sergey Klyushnikov's New Year's hits are back — the ones that guests love and look forward to year after year. Olivier salad with shrimp and red caviar is prepared with avocado, red caviar, quail eggs, and large shrimp. A mayonnaise-based sauce with oyster sauce adds a spicy touch. Avocado is also added to the crab Mimosa salad, which is dressed with Japanese mayonnaise. And of course, there are the legendary classics that no holiday is complete without: the herring under a fur coat salad, a favorite of many guests, jellied meat with pickles, and signature sandwiches on whole grain bread with whipped butter, red caviar, or red and sturgeon caviar.

Lucky Group x LIQ petbar

Since December, Lucky Group restaurants have been offering bowls and treats for pets from LIQ petbar grooming. Now, four-legged guests are treated to hypoallergenic dried beef lung treats and given a certificate that can be spent on any services.

Winter menu at Garage Café

Krymsky Val, 9, building 32

Garage Café has launched a special winter menu: a sandwich with trout and red caviar, pelmeni with beef and mushrooms, a gingerbread man cake, and a Christmas tree toy dessert cocktail. The menu consists of four New Year's items created by the Museum Café's team of chefs: chef Igor Kotov, pastry chef Elena Nabiullina, and head bartender Alexander Molkov.

Sobre tequila at Maya

Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street 24/1s6

Maya's new ritual — Sobre tequila, a sanctuary for rituals — Maya BarRoom. The intimate bar space of the restaurant of primitive elements and Latin American traditions is launching special tastings: expensive exclusive drinks, collectible releases, ancient legends. The first tasting is dedicated to premium tequila from the Mexican state of Jalisco and will take place on December 18 at 6 p.m. Sobre tequila turns tasting into a real ritual, where all three tequilas are collected in a special set and served in appropriate glasses — capas, veladores, and glasses. Feel how each form reveals the taste in its own way, experience the subtleties of combinations, and rediscover the same drink in a margarita. And the menu by Tom Halpin and Vladimir Velichko at Maya BarRoom will be special on this day: a whole baked red snapper will be carved in front of guests to make tacos, beef tartare will be dressed with truffle and chipotle, guacamole will be served with salsa macha, and quesadillas with mushrooms will be served.

A major menu update at AMI CHAISE

AMI CHAISE presented its new winter products. The project team, led by brand chef Natalia Efimova, focused on warm textures and expressive combinations. You can now start your day with two versions of eggs Benedict on a potato waffle: with salmon and mortadella. For those who prefer hearty and balanced dishes, the menu includes a French omelet with mushrooms and parmesan mousse. Among the sweet breakfast options are two cozy choices: a truly festive rice porridge with fir mousse and berries, and oatmeal with cranberries and crunchy chocolate crumble — rich and perfect for a winter morning.

Brunch at Pomme Verte

Pyatnitskaya, 20, bldg. 1

on December 13 and 14, with the support of Alina Lokteva, cider ambassador in Russia, the new tradition of cider brunches at Pomme Verte will be taken up by Moscow's only urban cider bar, Rebel Apple, and its creator Alex Ionov, musician, publisher, punk in the world of cider, and the only holder of the international Pommelier certificate in Russia. Chef Renat Tsaritsansky will prepare Breton pancakes with apple cream and scallops, Wellington beef with mushroom duxelles, and Cœur de Pomme dessert with caramelized apples on hazelnut financier for brunch.

Breakfast at SUBSTANCE

Krasnokazarmennaya, 19

The conceptual daily bistro SUBSTANCE presents its first breakfast menu — bright, varied, and photogenic. In a space inspired by the style of the 60s, guests can not only play billiards, but also discover a new dimension of morning rituals. The focus is on an exquisite Benedict, which combines tender brioche, fresh cucumber, trout, and poached eggs. A velvety hollandaise sauce complements this composition, creating the perfect start to the day. For those who like to start their morning with a hearty meal, a creamy brioche with appetizing scrambled eggs and parmesan mousse is a great choice.

This week, the city is full of delicious treats: Pomme Verte café is launching a light and cozy brunch with French touches — perfect for a Sunday morning. LIQ bar from Lucky Group has introduced a joint menu with local farmers — fresh and juicy juices paired with unexpected appetizers. Garage Café surprises with a new winter menu: warm soups, fragrant pastries, and dishes that will keep you warm longer. If you want to recharge through food, now is the time to try something new.

New Year's menu at Sempre

Bolshaya Dmitrovka, 22

To ensure that the outgoing year is not only about business but also about pleasure, Anatoly Levizov, the new chef of Moscow's greenest restaurant, has prepared a gastronomic program featuring nostalgic flavors and a festive mood. They recommend starting with the classics — mimosa with smoked salmon and an unusual crab Olivier salad. For those who are watching their figure for their New Year's dress, the menu includes a light salad with crab and pepper tonnato. The star of the show is a nostalgic duck aspic with pickled cucumber and creamy horseradish, and a spectacular glazed turkey leg for two.

UILLIAM'S Relaunch

Tsvetnoy Boulevard, 2

Moscow has earned its status as a gastronomic mecca not only thanks to the variety of restaurants and menus. Its pride and joy are establishments that preserve traditions and maintain high standards. These are places with a high reputation and special charm that you remember with particular warmth, and their names are history, and one of them is UILLIAM'S. The legendary UILLIAM'S, a symbol of the prosperous 2000s, whose name is associated with the equally legendary chef William Lamberti, reopens on December 13. This time, it is in collaboration with the founder of Pinskiy & Co, winner of the Palm Branch, Where to Eat, and other prestigious awards, gastronomic visionary Anton Pinsky.

Winter Special at Pasta Queen

In anticipation of the New Year holidays, when everyone traditionally rewatches the Harry Potter films, Pasta Queen cannot stay on the sidelines and is launching a special menu called “Harry Potter and the Chocolate Snitch.” It includes pasta dishes inspired by the Hogwarts houses and characters from the Potterverse, signature cocktails and desserts, as well as “Potter Bingo,” where participants can win prizes ranging from an iPhone 17 to a Dyson hair dryer. “In winter, you don't just want dinner — you want a story, atmosphere, and a little miracle. We've put together a special menu so that every guest can visit Hogwarts, taste the magic, take home positive emotions, and, of course, a snitch,” says the Pasta Queen team.

This gastronomic week showed how diverse and full of surprises our city's culinary life is. From an exquisite brunch at Pomme Verte to a friendly collaboration at LIQ petbar, each project offered a unique experience that went beyond a simple meal.

Such events remind us that food is not just about satisfying hunger, but is an important part of culture and a reason to socialize. The winter menu at Garage Café creates a cozy atmosphere on a cold evening, and joint promotions, such as those at Lucky Group, bring people with common interests together.

Keep an eye out for announcements, try new things, and don't be afraid to discover unusual combinations. After all, the next interesting gastronomic project or menu update at your favorite place may appear as early as next week. Bon appetit and enjoy new delicious discoveries!
