Naturally gray or with a tint, gray hair has become fashionable. But extra attention is needed to keep those silver strands hydrated and healthy. Particularly after coloring, hair can easily become dry or brittle; in this situation, moisturizing masks are quite helpful.
It’s crucial to keep your hair hydrated whether you’re rocking a trendy tint or embracing your natural grays. Drinking enough water makes your hair shiny and soft, which gives you a more youthful appearance.
This post will discuss four excellent moisturizing masks that are ideal for gray hair, regardless of whether it’s the color you chose or your natural shade. These masks are simple to apply and really help to maintain the best possible look and feel for your hair.

Löwengrip: The Cure
The first dish we have is chef Löwengrip’s Scandinavian mask, The Cure. What is the Löwengrip brand, this strange beast?
The Swedish company has multiple lines of skin, body, and hair care products. The brand specializes in skin care products for sensitive skin.
The brand stands out for its excellent quality. Local raw materials are used to make the products, which are entirely produced in Sweden. Because of the products’ delicacy and efficacy, customers adore the brand.
The pink series, which is a line for colored and damaged hair, is our favorite.
Let’s begin by sampling Löwengrip: The Cure.
Let"s turn to the description of the manufacturer:
Shea butter and bamboo extract are combined in an intensely moisturizing mask to repair damaged and chemically treated hair throughout its length. Argan and apple seed oils improve hair elasticity, moisturize it, and give it a lovely sheen. Sunflower oil seals moisture in the hair. free of parabens and sulfates. produced in Sweden. After shampooing, apply, let sit for ten to fifteen minutes, rinse, and follow with conditioner.
It is advised for colored, damaged, lifeless, and dry hair. The brand consultant suggested the mask as an all-purpose moisturizing mask with a hint of nutrition that works well for naturally occurring hair of various thicknesses. It can be applied to both thick and thin hair for up to 15 minutes.
Orientation: nourishing and moisturizing, with a hint of restoration.
Now let"s look at the composition of our overseas beast:
Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Pyrus Malus Seed Oil, Bambusa Vulgaris Extract, Bertholletia Excelsa Seed Oil, Pyrus Malus Seed Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate, Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter, Cetrimonium Chloride, Sodium PCA, Caprylyl Glycol, Dimethiconol, Dimethicone, Behentrimonium Chloride, Trideceth-5, Parfum, Phenoxyethanol, Lactic Acid, Amodimethicone/Morpholinomethyl Silsesquioxane Copolymer,
Rich and well-composed. High-quality raw materials are used. The outcome should be enjoyable.
Let"s go over the components:
- Cetearyl Alcohol – fatty alcohol, a good and kind component, a humectant
- Polyglyceryl-3 Polyricinoleate – softens and conditions hair
- Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine – co-emulsifier, improves hair combing, conditions very well
- Glycerin – glycerin familiar to us, acts as a humectant
- Butyrospermum Parkii Butter – shea butter – moisturizes, restores, adds shine
- Cetrimonium Chloride – antistatic, conditioning effect (indeed, there is no electrification during use)
- Bertholletia Excelsa Seed Oil – Brazil nut oil – nourishes, moisturizes, softens
- Pyrus Malus Seed Oil – apple seed oil – nourishes and adds shine
- Bambusa Vulgaris Extract – Bamboo Extract – Gives elasticity and smoothness to hair
- Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil – argan oil – shine + nutrition + hydration
- Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil – sunflower oil – moisturizing and protective properties
- Amodimethicone – conditions hair
- Next we have polymers, perfume and another interesting component
- Lactic Acid – lactic acid – smoothes hair, makes it manageable, moisturizes.
Texture: akin to sorbet or whipped cream; extremely delicate, lovely, and agreeable color.
The jar-style packaging is inconvenient for showering, and water can seep into it.
Powdery scent—quite similar to Dior powders—very lovely and delicate, but virtually nothing sticks to the hair.
Now let’s talk about the application’s features:
- I apply for 10-15 minutes, as written in the instructions. It works better if you use it 2-3 times in a row, there is a cumulative effect.
- When the hair was badly damaged, they absorbed it without a trace. Then the brand consultant recommended extending the effect to 20-30 minutes the first 2 times of use and doing a course of 5-6 applications in a row to saturate the strands.
- Despite the silicone content at the end of the composition, when using on colored hair or very damaged ends, I would still recommend applying silicone conditioner for 1-2 minutes (the ends will be smoother).
First impressions
- does not frizz hair, like many moisturizing masks
- gives shine, silkiness, smoothness to hair
- when closed with conditioner, the ends feel good
- texture is not oily, the texture is very soft and pliable
- economical consumption
- in addition to moisturizing, there is a drop of restoration-nutrition, which is also needed by natural hair
- completely undeservedly left it aside, although I was always happy with the end result, now I have returned it to my menu.
- . does not give density, exhausted ends can give dryness on the 2-3rd day.
If you’re searching for a premium moisturizing mask that won’t frizz and will make the ends appear lighter, I highly recommend it. It has a delicate texture and a very pleasant aroma. It absorbs quickly and functions effectively. Very frugal. Ideal for thin, natural hair. The only drawback is that severely damaged hair is probably not going to get enough of it.
Following the mask, hair:
Natural or colored gray hair requires additional moisture to stay vibrant and healthy. This post will discuss four moisturizing masks that can be used to hydrate and shield gray hair, making it appear lustrous and silky. These masks, which range from rich creams to nourishing oils, provide easy, efficient methods of keeping your hair strong and shiny.
Orising: Coconut
Let’s continue the tasting with the second dish, a phytoessential mask with coconut oil, prepared by Italian chef Orising.
But first, let’s examine the Italian company Orising in more detail:
It’s not true that Italians are a simple people. The brand’s straightforward green packaging conceals years of research and expertise in scalp and hair care, going back to 1963. Like Löwengrip, the brand stays loyal to its origins, using only Italian factories for production.
The brand stands out for its use of environmentally friendly materials, stringent quality control, and herbal extracts. The brand gives scalp care a lot of consideration. Peelings, calming serums, acidic serums, and masks to address any scalp issues are all included in the line.
Because the active ingredients are concentrated to a high degree, the products are highly cost-effective.
A popular medical brand in trichological salons is Orising Phytocosmetics. There are restorative products and products for dandruff and hair loss. Although there are many different lines, I think Orising looks best on natural or herb-dyed hair. The brand stands out for its natural composition, delicate textures and scents, dermatological control, and pure raw materials.
Let’s now discuss the coconut miracle that is Orising Coconut Mask.
According to the manufacturer, it is moisturizing and nourishing for the scalp and length (where it already has an anti-inflammatory effect).
Manufacturer about the coconut mask:
Because it has so many positive effects, coconut oil has become a popular choice for cosmetologists and consumers worldwide. Thanks to the Italian brand Orising, which has released a phytoessential mask for dry hair with coconut oil, you can give yourself the maximum benefit from this amazing product. When combined with other plant extracts, coconut oil has a scalp-healing and anti-inflammatory effect. Special ingredients give the hair strength and a luxurious shine by moisturizing and nourishing it all the way down. The strands become smooth and manageable thanks to the hypoallergenic product. The best hair care is a phytoessential mask called Orising Cocco.
Ingredients:
Avena sativa (oat) kernel extract, water, cetearyl alcohol, cetrimonium chloride, octyl palmitate, lecithin, hydrolyzed silk, citric acid, cyclopentasiloxane, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, magnesium nitrate, and magnesium chloride Scent
Let’s examine the composition to see what is useful:
- Cetearyl Alcohol – fatty alcohol, like in the Swedish beauty, responsible for moisturizing
- Cetrimonium Chloride – antistatic, conditioning component
- Octyl Palmitate – emollient, has conditioning properties
- Lecithin – lecithin – adds shine, silkiness, improves hair hydrophobicity, promotes hair restoration
- Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil – coconut oil – protection, softness, shine, reduces breakage
- Hydrolyzed Silk – hydrolyzed silk forms a light, protective film on the hair surface
- Citric Acid – citric acid – adds shine and smoothness
- Cyclopentasiloxane – helps detangle hair, reduces frizz, prevents breakage
- Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract – oat extract – smoothes cuticle, reduces breakage, moisturizes, adds shine.
Excellent composition with lots of helpful parts. The primary active ingredients are hydrolyzed silk, coconut oil, and oat extract.
Texture similar to a supple, creamy lotion that can be applied to the scalp and hair with ease and speed. Very frugal.
Convenient packaging, somewhat pliable tube that squeezes out perfectly
Coconut scent is very pleasant, mild, and non-chemical. It is also not very persistent.
Features of the program:
- on the scalp for 5-15 minutes depending on the degree of irritation and dryness of the scalp.
- on the ends for 10-15 minutes, then close with silicone conditioner.
- The salon has a deep nourishment and moisturizing procedure (hair treatment), when it is applied to the scalp and length for an hour and a half under a film, a cap is put on top and heated with a hairdryer. At home and with sensitive scalp, you can not warm it up – the heat from the film and cap is enough. At the end, be sure to close with silicone conditioner.
- The line has a special conditioner with sunflower extract (Helianthis), which is used after the mask for a few minutes. But I can not find it on sale. At first, I did this procedure often, now – as needed (once every few months).
My impressions:
- suitable for the scalp and for the length of hair
- reduces sensitivity, moisturizes the scalp (when nothing helped me with the burning sensation, only applying this product for 15-30 minutes on the scalp saved me)
- low molecular weight allows the components to penetrate well into the hair, the result of use is noticeable almost immediately
- combines nutrition and moisturizing
- works well with natural hair – the visual is very beautiful on it
- untangles the ends well, the comb does not slip, but does not add shine to visually damaged ends
- thickens a little
- will be weak for colored hair, does not stretch the ends, but is perfect for the scalp.
Hair following the mask (not curled, before the haircut, to make it easier to distinguish between damaged ends and healthy length):
I always keep Orising Coconut on hand as a last-minute solution for sensitive scalp issues and to hydrate the ends. I’ve had it for a long time, and it has frequently come to my rescue.
I suggest it as a deeper moisturizing and nourishing procedure for hair dyed with herbs, as well as for sensitive scalps (it doesn’t get the roots dirty beforehand) and natural hair.
Although it doesn’t affect color washout, I’m not sure how well it will work on severely damaged or colored hair lengths. However, it will be beneficial for the scalp.
Pharma Hermetics: Nourishing Hair
The Nourishing Hair Mask, offered by Phrama Hermetics, a Spanish trichological company, is our third course. Here you will find references to Greek mythology (Hermes), biotechnology, in-depth research, peptides, vitamins, and natural components and their synergy. With a GMP certificate, the company has been in business for over 20 years and combines pharmaceutical and cosmetic developments.
Alopecia and hair loss are the main targets of many of the brand’s products. I tried using a mesoroller with their ampoules once, and although there was a slight improvement, the scalp’s sensitivity returned. Additionally, the spray made me sensitive. The products for hair loss didn’t work out, but their scalp and length mask was nice.
Description of the manufacturer:
Particular attention was created to treat dry, damaged hair brought on by exposure to the elements, including heat and chemicals. enhances the strength, nutrition, and hydration of hair to prevent breakage. adds flexibility, shine, and a unique conditioning effect to hair. Apply to scalp and damp hair after washing, then use your fingers to massage and comb hair several times. After letting it work for at least five to fifteen minutes, thoroughly rinse with water.
Composition:
Water (aqua), Propylene Glycol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Alcohol, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cetrimonium Chloride, Butyrosper Mum Paprika (shea) Butter, Vitis Vinifera (grape) Seed Oil, Mangifera Indica (mango seed) butter, and Panthenol Lecithin, Glyceryl Oleate, Magnesium Chloride, Tocopherol, Quaternium-80, Hydroxyethyl Cellulose, Coco-Glucoside, Alcohol Denat, Magnesium Nitrate, Sodium Acetate, Citrate, Hydrogenated Palm Glycerides, Methylisothiazolinone, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Citric Acid, Parfum (fragrance).
Suggested for dry, irritated scalp and damaged, dry hair (from coloring or heat tools).
Direction: nourishing and moisturizing.
Let’s examine the primary active components:
- Hyaluronic acid – nourishes and moisturizes, stimulating the compaction of hair fibers and increasing volume.
- Mango butter – locks moisture and nutrients in the hair, reducing hair loss and breakage, strengthens hair follicles.
- Shea butter – nourishes hair with vitamins A, E and F. Helps keep hair shiny and healthy. Has anti-inflammatory properties: reduces redness and irritation of the scalp, does not clog pores.
- Grape seed oil – high content of fatty acids, moisturizes hair, slows down the production of DHT.
- Panthenol – vitamin B5 gives hair shine, softness and strength. Studies have shown that this helps slow down and hide the appearance of thinning hair.
According to the product’s composition, the fatty alcohol Cetearyl Alcohol comes in first, followed by the moisturizer Propylene Glycol, vitamin A, and—most surprisingly—hyaluronic acid, which is present in quite a large amount in seventh place. The oils and lecithin follow. The composition is powerful and excellent.
Once more, the packaging consists of a jar with a stopper and a lid. It’s so inconvenient, girls, to be in the shower. You remember all the wrong words because of the protective membrane in particular (a very short thing, for which it is impossible to hook it with wet hands). I open the product ahead of time because of this:
Texture: a light cream that covers hair with ease:
The scent is mild, pleasant, almost candy-like, and it doesn’t stick in your hair.
Features of the program:
- on damp hair for 5-15 minutes, and this is enough for its effect, no longer is necessary – you can get icicles.
- on the scalp for 5-15 minutes – for me the product turned out to be a bit greasy, but it soothes the scalp perfectly, especially after coloring. If you have a very dry scalp, it may work, with a short exposure of 2-3 minutes (but it may still be too heavy).
- need to be covered with silicone conditioner.
First impressions
- very easy to apply, glides over hair and it immediately detangles
- multi-effect of nutrition and moisturizing – hair does not become a weak-willed cloud
- acts quickly and deeply
- hair shines very strongly after it
- detangles hair well to the very ends
- makes frayed ends soft and thick
- on the first day hair can be fluffy, but on the second day it becomes smooth
- I do not recommend keeping it longer than the time stated by the manufacturer – there is a high risk of getting icicles.
As a multi-mask targeted at superior nutrition and moisturizing, I suggest it. It doesn’t require any invention on your part and acts swiftly. Almost no possibility of obtaining a weightless cloud exists.
I am a novice hair enthusiast, so using multiple products makes it easier for me and keeps me from failing so badly. While I am working on increasing the thickness of my hair, it is crucial to me that the product maintains the ends while not oversaturating the length. With everything here, I’m content.
It looks universal and works well with colored hair as well as natural hair with a medium thickness.
After the mask, a photo of the hair
Color WOW: Money
Chef Chris Appleton has complimented me with a Color WOW Money Mask.
Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton is well-known for his work on numerous TV shows and for having styled Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez. Yes, Chris is responsible for all of these outrageous looks from the stars’ red carpet (and occasionally wigs that he makes especially for events)!
Regarding the Color WOW brand, its creator, Gail Federici, who also established the well-known John Frieda brand, relied on the development of ground-breaking formulas for the maintenance of blonde and frizzy hair. The brand is well-known for its Dream Coat, Root Cover Up, and One Minute Transformation products. The company is multi-award winning, and you can frequently find their merchandise on red carpets and backstage at events. creative, quick, and efficient.
The Money mask was created as part of Chris and Color WOW’s partnership to create an incredibly gorgeous hairstyle. Verify concentrated luxury in a jar by looking at the promotional image:
I tried it because my friend gave it to me after she got back from a business trip. I’ll state up front that I was totally and irrevocably taken in by the blue beauty’s appearance.
Suggested for "going out" or periodically keeping your hair in good condition. When it comes to looking your best, that very magic wand.
Direction: hydrating and fortifying. Fits all types of hair.
Let us examine the stunning beauty up close and feel her beauty.
Description of the manufacturer:
Rich in active Mediterranean seaweed, this moisturizing and fortifying hair mask leaves hair looking lustrous, elastic, and expensive. is a crucial phase in the maintenance and readying of hair for the renowned stylist Chris Appleton’s transformation. enables you to achieve the ideal texture for your hair without adding weight or stickiness. Fits all types of hair. Aids in split ends, damage, and dryness: per.
Strengthens hair and leaves it feeling silky, elastic, and healthy from the inside out. It also moisturizes and transforms hair. Use:. Use every fourth wash or once a week.
Apply for 5-20 minutes, rinse with water
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Dimethicone, Stearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Dicetyldimonium Chloride, and Behentrimonium Chloride Citric acid, PG-Propyl Silanetriol, Chlorella Pyrenoidosa Extract, Undaria Pinnatifida Extract, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan) Extract, Laminaria Saccharina Extract, Ceteareth-20, Dimethiconol, Phenoxyethanol, PPG-26-Buteth-26, Apigenin, Oleanolic Acid, Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1, Crambe Maritima (Blue Sea Kale) Leaf Extract, Fragrance As chlorphenesin, Isopropyl Alcohol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Benzyl Salicylate, Disodium EDTA, Caprylyl Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Potassium Sorbate, Benzyl Salicylate, Alpha-isomethyl ionone, CI 42090, CI 60730.
The primary active components are:
- Blue kelp: binds to damaged keratin, providing strength and elasticity
- Hydrolyzed vegetable protein complex: weightless strengthening component that smoothes the cuticle
- A mixture of Mediterranean seaweed – kelp and algae: provide powerful natural hydration.
What other elements were included in the composition?
- Stearyl Alcohol – fatty moisturizing alcohol
- Dimethicone – silicone is in third place, for me it is a plus, because the hair is porous and from a moisturizing mask it can become frizzy (to we will return to this point a little later)
- Cetyl Alcohol – helps moisturize hair
- Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine – antistatic, conditions, facilitates combing
- Butylene Glycol – moisturizer
- Dicetyldimonium Chloride, Behentrimonium Chloride – conditioning components, facilitate combing
- Propanediol – component that helps improve hydration
- Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein – hydrolyzed protein of plant origin, protects the cuticle from damage and hair from breakage, moisturizes, strengthens and adds shine.
- Biotinoyl Tripeptide-1 – tripeptide that combines vitamin H with the family of matrix signal peptides GHK (helps well against hair loss, but the product must be applied to the length – why is it in the composition?)
- And then come the above-mentioned algae and seaweed.
It’s a lengthy composition. Yes, silicone occupies the third spot. Nonetheless, the maker also makes a point of saying that the item is a "special product" and is "for going out."
Very smooth, soft, and pleasant texture. Although the product I have is a sample and is not in its original packaging, the texture and color are still quite evident:
Packaging resembles a lidded jar. Once more, I’d rather have a tube:
Aroma lingers on the hair and is divine, pleasant, and slightly sweet.
Features of the program:
- for severely damaged hair, it is recommended to apply the product once a week
- for normal / colored / dry hair, every fourth wash to maintain a good look of hair (that is, wash 3 times with your favorites, then "spank" our star)
- apply the product for 5-20 minutes, depending on the condition of the hair.
My observations:
- easy to apply – immediately envelops each hair – hair quickly absorbs the product and detangles
- moisturizing without frizz, neat, polished look, good shine
- easy to wash off, hair is smooth afterwards, does not require conditioner
- gives shine, well-groomed, density
- does not steal the volume of hair, does not weigh it down
- very pleasant, fresh aroma
- a "going out" product: when you need to look decent, but there is no time
- the ends are very healthy and nourished after subsequent washings – not a dud.
I suggest it as a Cinderella mask for going out. Special effects from the outside are offered, particularly when blow-drying. With brush styling, the hair appears extremely well-groomed. I think it creates the most exquisite visual effect. Following it, the hair feels nice until the next wash, and upon a second washing, it appears that the ends have retained their moisture content. I consistently get the same positive outcome.
It works great to tame the texture of colored, dry, wavy hair. Admittedly, Chris still knows a great deal about hair maintenance. A full size is what I want. (You already know about my hamster, Gennady, who is a glutton?)
