All items in the series are housed in "barrels" composed of thick, dark plastic; the dispenser caps and labels are the only parts that differ. The bubbles, of course, made me think of the high-end products Insight and Angel Provence. But in contrast to their imported counterparts, the labels are jam-packed with information—both useful and not. In this instance, we can broaden our understanding of the stunning nation of Iceland—home to geysers, giants, and volcanoes—unless, of course, you have been dreaming of visiting there since you were a young child.

However, all essential information—purpose, composition, and application—is well-marked and readable. I reiterate that I was pleased with the series’ design overall.

Additionally, I liked that the dispenser had a snap-on lid because I dislike flip-top lids because product remnants frequently get trapped in them and dispensers break before I even get a chance to use them.

Consistency, composition and organoleptics

The shampoo is completely transparent and has a thick gel consistency without any inclusions.

Foams well (even in the absence of the infamous SLS and SLES). I’ve been washing my hair all at once lately, so it’s crucial for the shampoo to foam up nicely and wash everything at once. And this shampoo does a flawless job at handling this task.

The composition’s primary active ingredients are:

Sodium coco sulfate and Cocamidopropyl betaine are directly responsible for cleaning; SLS and SLES are not present in the shampoo.

With gentle sulfate-free shampoos, I have nothing against SLS and SLES (my scalp responds to them quite calmly); on the other hand, friendship, and especially love, have not yet materialized. Typically, they are difficult to wash, and the root zone becomes less fresher more quickly than we would like.

Additionally, the composition is as natural and organic as possible because silicones and polyquaterniums are not present.

In regards to the scent, I would like to state separately:

It makes sense why the manufacturer claims to give scents special consideration. The entire series’ incredibly unique scents pleasantly surprised and delighted me. I’ve previously written about the moisturizing spray from this line, and I find the following about its scent:

The scent of the shampoo is similarly crisp and light. It’s aptly illustrated by the picture on the bottle. Very nice, but regrettably doesn’t stay on the hair.

Impression

It foams and cleans wonderfully!

Before this shampoo, my acquaintances with sulfate-free ones usually ended. no way. The very last one, Angel Provence with verbena, suffered a regrettable fiasco and ended its days washing combs and sponges. Yes, the washing base of these shampoos is different (in Angel it is sodium cocoyl glutamate and coco-glucoside), but in addition to the delicate "relationship" to the length, we expect good skin cleansing from the shampoo (Angel absolutely failed). The PO shampoo washes perfectly even after oil masks, but in such a case it is not I take a risk – I soap twice. At the same time, it is very gentle to the length, does not tangle or dry out.

Despite my intense love for "moisturizing" shampoos, I don’t expect the shampoo to be particularly moisturizing. In this instance, I believe that rinse-off care is more crucial in preparing the hair for additional moisturizing. Additionally, if I use moisturizing products (masks, conditioners) afterward, my hair becomes the utmost nourished, elastic, and whippy (a term I detest).

After shampooing and applying a moisturizing mask, hair:

The shampoo works flawlessly on natural hair; it doesn’t shorten the time between washes, exacerbate dryness or irritation, or increase oiliness—all of which are crucial for my daughter’s hair. It also doesn’t overextend the length. I occasionally switch them out for ones that are more purifying, just in case.

Because of the overabundance of nourishing and moisturizing ingredients in their composition, as well as the frequent addition of silicones and polyquaterniums, which tend to overload fine hair, I cannot use moisturizing shampoos as often as I would like.

Impression

The conditioner has a fairly thick consistency, but it is difficult to spread throughout the hair, which contributes to its high consumption.

I did not notice much of a difference in the holding time, which ranged from five to thirty minutes. You notice right away that the hair has gotten denser, more voluminous, and slightly stiffer.

I am aware that the conditioning is ineffective when I rinse. Yes, the thick hair appears worse than it did before application due to tangles and stiffness. This is – oh-oh, how bad, in my situation. To untangle this mess, I have to use a different conditioner for a minute (Tressem or Angel SPA, they usually handle situations like this well).

I’ll be honest: after washing and drying, I don’t like how the hair looks. Yes, the hair is very voluminous and has great density, but I also notice that it is extremely rigid and gets tangled in loose hair. It looks like my hair hasn’t been renewed in a year at the ends.

This does not at all make me happy. The effects of herbal dying, which cause the strands to become excessively dry in addition to the desired density, are already giving me an unfair fight. It seems that silicones are "not a blessing" in this instance.

Though the conditioner appears fairly well on my children’s hair that is still intact. The hair is glossy, full-bodied, and thick. Smooth and silky hair is free of dryness and stiffness.
