Winter marathon of hair care at a calm pace: Blond”s care and natural hair, crashes, Project Pan project and my new goals

Whether you’re a blonde or proud of your natural color, winter can be harsh on your hair. Hair gets dried out by the cold air outside and the heat inside, making it more vulnerable to damage. Because of this, it’s crucial to alter your regimen and take more time and care of your locks during the winter.

I’ll be offering advice on how to take care of blond hair, avoid common problems like breakage, and handle "crashes"—those times when your hair just won’t go along—during this winter hair care marathon. We’ll also talk about the idea of "Project Pan," which encourages you to finish using up your current hair products before purchasing new ones. This will keep you organized and focused on growing healthy, gorgeous hair.

I’m making new hair goals for this season to maintain my best-looking and feeling hair. This guide can help you if you’re following a similar path or simply need some winter hair care inspiration.

Hair Care Routine My Goals
Blond Hair Care Keep it healthy and prevent yellowing
Natural Hair Care Maintain shine and strength
Crashes Identify and fix hair breakage issues
Project Pan Use up current products before buying new ones
New Goals Incorporate more nourishing masks and serums

I’m taking a laid-back approach to winter hair care and concentrating on taking care of my blond and natural hair while letting go of any obstacles that may arise. I’m establishing new, enduring objectives to enhance the health and vibrancy of my hair by adopting the Project Pan initiative to make the most of my hair products.

Goals

Prior to delving into the objectives, let us examine my initial data:

  • Natural roots, powder blond length
  • All strands of different lengths, shaved with a clipper on the back of the head
  • Minimal breakage
  • Washing schedule every other day.

When I first considered running the marathon, I considered the objectives I would set for myself and the best way to achieve them. Since minimalism and decluttering are currently more in style than ever, I’ve already told you that I have enormous shampoo reserves and would like to use less of them. Furthermore, even though I have been actively promoting growth for more than a month, I have been unable to determine how to quantify it.

I thus chose my objectives very quickly:

  • Hair growth – ideally in a chain (I did not find other options for measuring growth)
  • Finish at least 2 products during the marathon – I have a little Isight shampoo and conditioner left, so I want to finish them.

Care in the marathon

I have a simple set because I wanted to finish off a few jars quickly and did not bring a lot of products for the marathon.

Cleansing

I have one peeling and three shampoos (a detailed description of my shampoos can be found in this post) in the starter set.

  • Isight Dry Hair – I use it most often, although before I did not understand it at all. But now for me this is an excellent basic shampoo and, it is possible that I will repeat it again.
  • Ogx kukui oil – also a good shampoo, but I reach for it less often. If I manage to finish it in 3 months, then it will be just great.
  • L’Oreal Professionnel Curl Expression – excellent, cleansing shampoo. I try not to use it too often, but my hair is transformed with it.
  • Tefia cleansing gel mask – I use the peeling once every 10-14 days. In general, I really liked this product, it is much more convenient than peeling in a jar washer, but I didn’t like the aroma at all. I can really smell the PVA glue.

I’ve previously stated several times that I want to start using SLES shampoos, but in order to do so, I need to stock up on fewer sulfate-free products. Thus, for the time being, I make an effort to avoid making any purchases and to consume the bottles I currently own as soon as possible.

Masks and conditioners

Here, too, I only have three things:

  • Vieso Perilla – the only mask and now my favorite. Due to the fact that it can be applied not only to the length, but also to the scalp, it suits me perfectly now. Hair after the mask is very smooth, soft and easy to comb.
  • Angel – it"s not for nothing that this conditioner is one of the most popular on the site. If I didn"t understand it solo before, now it fits perfectly into my care. And I"m incredibly glad that I bought a liter bottle right away.
  • Insight – there"s also a little left, and I"ve only just tried it. It works great on short hair, doesn"t overload it, but at the same time provides easy combing and good hydration.

I’m not sure what will take the place of Insight, which is about to expire. At the moment, I’m thinking about 360 HP or Matrix conditioners. I used to detest conditioners and would much rather use masks, so choosing between the two is difficult for me.

Leave-in conditioners

But this is your chance to let loose. I’m a huge fan of leave-in care and find that one product is never enough for me. However, at the moment, I’ve set aside hair oils while I wait for my hair to reach the ideal length. As a result, I’m bringing to the marathon every leave-in product I use regularly:

  • Paul Rivera "Be loved" – a gorgeous spray, that"s true. And it also has a heat-protective function, which is very important for me, because I have 2 care creams, and I always style my hair with a hairdryer. So for me the purchase was very justified.
  • Kérastase Ciment – my very first leave-in from this brand and a very favorite. I am ready to sing odes to love constantly. Now the only thing that upsets me is that there is 1/3 of the product left and I will need to look for a replacement, because it is very difficult to buy Kérastase now.
  • Kérastase Soleil – red Valentine, which became a hit on the site, also conquered me. In the summer I used it much more often, but now I use it only after cleansing shampoo solo. And not because the product is not relevant for me, but because I am afraid not to find it on sale, because in the summer in the southern region it turned out to be indispensable for me.
  • Kérastase 8H Serum – a night serum that turned my attitude to night care upside down. But at the moment I use it as a leave-in treatment for damp hair.

Growth stimulation

And even though it’s the smallest category, it gets updated more frequently because I intend to use them frequently and will buy a replacement right away if the product runs out:

  • Levrana Tonic – at first I didn’t like it because of the aroma and I didn’t notice any increased growth from it, but now I see that the undercoat has grown faster. So it seemed to me that the product is more strengthening, but has little effect on growth. I won’t repeat it for sure.
  • Mixit warming thermal mask – but I liked this mask. Before this, I had been buying a similar Compliment for a long time, but this one is more convenient due to the presence of a dispenser.

And although I’m considering other hair growth tonics, Daeng Gi Mio seems like a better option. However, I’m still undecided about which one to get in its place.

Throughout the winter, hair maintenance calls for perseverance and constancy. This season is all about feeding and shielding your hair from the harsh weather, regardless of whether you choose to embrace your natural color or keep your hair blonde.

It’s acceptable if your hair routine doesn’t go as planned; mistakes happen. The secret is to remain committed to your long-term objectives, as with the Project Pan method, which entails gradually but steadily using up products as you discover what suits you best.

Continue to set new objectives as you progress through this winter haircare marathon. Throughout the winter, you can maintain the health and beauty of your hair by taking small, manageable steps.
