There are many factors that affect the health of our hair besides shampoo and frequency of cuts. Understanding the true nature of the issues affecting our scalp and hair follicles requires the use of modern instruments like the trichoscope. Long before they become apparent, this device assists in identifying early indicators of hair loss, damage, or scalp problems. In the long run, we can take better care of our hair if we are more informed about what’s going on beneath the surface.
Even small adjustments to our daily routine, aside from the use of cutting edge technology, can have a significant impact. Making the small change to a silk pillowcase can help keep our hair smoother over night by lowering friction and preventing breakage. Hair slides through silk without getting tangled like it can when it sleeps on cotton or other materials.
Conversely, some behaviors may be more detrimental than we think. Over- or overly-aggressive head scratching may seem harmless at first, but over time, it can cause damage to the scalp, causing irritation, flaking, and even hair loss. Maintaining strong, healthy hair requires an understanding of what works and what doesn’t.

Trichoscope
The first week, I was taken aback. I browsed through pictures on the Internet while simultaneously enlarging my view of my surroundings. Interesting.
I discovered many diagnoses in myself. And I was going to indulge myself. However, after gathering my composure, I made the decision to proceed cautiously, beginning with the diagnosis that I received following a thorough examination from a dermatologist-venereologist in a private state-level clinic (remember that trichology is a specific subspecialty of dermatology-venereology).
Unfortunately, I am unable to visit the clinic at this time to confirm the diagnosis. I am advised not to visit locations of large gatherings due to my post-COVID complications in order to prevent contracting new infections. My immunity is very low right now. I have more important things to do than indulge in self-indulgent AGA.
Naturally, though, I’ll share my findings.
Some remarks regarding the trichoscope.
This is not even a trichoscope, but a portable microscope. Usually they buy one for children to learn about the world around them. Leaves, bugs – everything looks different in an enlarged size. This is very exciting and educational for a growing young explorer. After I play with it enough, I definitely won’t have a microscope lying around, there is already a line of people wanting it.
What I spied
The diameter of gray hair turns out to be smaller. Thus, even with healthy hair follicles, "weight loss" of the tail with aging is inevitable.
🩶 Natural hair has a diamond-like sheen.
129654; I genuinely maintain well-groomed hair! Not a single split hair was found by me. The structure of the hair is also smooth. The only color with more facets is natural.
🩶 The hair appears to be spaghetti at the ends. The scissors used by my hairdresser are as sharp as a samurai sword.
In essence, hair grows in clusters of three to four strands. There are five, in fact. This did not occur, as far as I can recall, during trichoscope examinations at cosmetics sales locations. thus "stimulated".
The beginning of seborrheic dermatitis appears frightening. I was in much worse shape. It’s frightful to consider how everything appeared the last time.
To be clear, my condition has been diagnosed as dry seborrhea. Here are some articles regarding seborrhea and seborrheic dermatitis.
🩶 Sebaceous plug-related hair loss.
🩶 Rubble. To be clear, there isn’t any visible dandruff in the mirror. Nothing is tumbling out.
Under a layer of skin, young growth is drowning (🩶).
Unfortunately, not every part of the head has good density. Each hair grows individually and is thinner. The temporal region and crown of the head are affected by this condition.
Where on myself do I see AGA?
I fooled myself for a long time and adopted the ostrich mindset of "I’ll think about it tomorrow." I went with a blonde hair color because it hides the thinning parietal and frontal areas. Wonderful.
I also have oblique indicators that could be related to AGA:
- Uneven density.
- Root pain.
- Seborrhea.
Using a trichoscope to examine the health of your scalp can provide valuable information that will enhance your hair care regimen. By lowering friction and breakage, sleeping on silk keeps your hair shinier and more lustrous. However, scratching your head may cause irritation and even damage to your scalp. Maintaining strong, vibrant hair can be greatly improved by making small adjustments like these.

"Parts of elephants are eaten."
- Boost immunity.
I feel like I robbed Iherb, and if you consider that I have another bunch of vitamins already recommended by a doctor, my eyes are popping out of my forehead from the number of supplements. - Introduce a sulfate, anti-seborrheic shampoo on a regular basis. I"m going to alternate with mild shampoos.
- Introduce daily hair washing into my routine. This frequency was recommended to me by my doctor. I"m just not a very obedient patient and like to reinvent the wheel. With a new hair dryer, it takes a couple of minutes to dry my hair, so I no longer have excuses to swing from different feelings on my scalp.
- Introduce an acid peeling to cleanse the scalp, also on a regular basis. (Alas, I must admit that the acid toner for the face (ph 3.5 and 8% aha + bha acids), used for the scalp, did not cope with the task. I was simply wasting a good product for nothing. And I"m very glad that I did not have time to write a post on the topic of "Using cosmetics not for their intended purpose").
Minimalism is not always good, I am convinced of this once again. - Exclude the mask for a while Gotukola wrote here. There is a suspicion that my seborrheic dermatitis is aggravated by the preservatives Methylsothiazolinone, Methylchloishetiazolinone, which are present in this mask. If my suspicions are confirmed, it will be very sad, because it was after this mask that I completely passed white dots and a section!
❔️❕️ I would like to ask you a question. Which of the DSD 1.1 and 2.1 shampoos is better suited for skin that is sensitive? And does DSD’s white-packaged balancing shampoo from sebaceous traffic jams work? Which line—the black or the white one—is stronger? Peeling 1.3 is not discussed; I’ll take it. And lotion, I believe it was between 3.4.4 and 1.4. Please assist in making a decision. ❔️❔️
Hair loss and thinning occur in seborrhea patients, particularly in those with seborrheic dermatitis. There’s also the pain in the roots associated with seborrhea.
As a result, I must first attain stable remission, allow myself some time to heal, and only then search for AGA within.
🩶 Pain at the root It hasn’t been with me for a few months now. I will definitely write a separate post about what helped me.
Why sleeping on silk is good for you
Since everything has already been written, I won’t go into details. I’ll just be posting pictures that I took with a microscope today. Cotton/Satin TC300/Silk 30 mom in sequence. Make your own judgments.
Using a trichoscope is a game changer for understanding your hair health. It lets you see the condition of your scalp and hair up close, helping you address issues before they get worse. Think of it as a magnifying glass for your hair care routine.
In the interim, sleeping on silk can benefit your hair greatly. Because silk lowers friction, frizz and breakage are decreased. Making a tiny but significant adjustment each morning will give your hair a smoother appearance and feel.
Conversely, while it may feel good to scratch your head, doing so is not good for your scalp. Over time, it may cause irritation and even cause hair loss due to damage to the skin. Your hair will appreciate you taking good care of your scalp.
