I can peacefully complete other bathroom tasks while the mixture affects my hair because it does not flow out of it during the exposure.
I completely rinse off the toning mixture until the water turns clear after the exposure time has passed. You can already tell that the hair is well-fed at this point because it is elastic, does not tangle, and simply flows.
I use direct action pigment with every wash so that the color intensity doesn’t wash out.
I wash my hair, squeeze it out with my hands very gently, cover it with a towel for a few minutes, apply my regular leave-in conditioner, and begin blow drying it.
There is not even the slightest trace of dryness in the elastic, whippy, shiny, crumbly hair after it has dried. The ends feel fantastic, do not protrude, and lie elegantly in a single cut after being untrimmed for over six months.
