I’ll talk about my own experience accepting change in this post, beginning with my impulsive decision to go from being a brunette to a redhead. This is a tale of unexpected turns, botched beauty experiments, and many lessons discovered along the way. Sometimes, changing your hair color isn’t the only way to transform yourself; sometimes, a new color can completely alter your mood and outlook on life.

Background

I just recently got the urge to dye my hair, literally 5 days ago, when I was dyeing my mother"s hair again (in red, actually). I liked it so much that the thought of staining deeply settled in my head. By virtue of my temperament, I could not think about it for a long time and moved to strategic actions, namely, I went to the store. hair cosmetics and stuck almost all necessary, namely: emulsion to remove persistent colors Estel Color Off and, in fact, paint, which I decided to choose from the same manufacturer as the emulsion,- Estel Deluxe shade 7.44 Light brown copper intensive. I had a liter of six percent (and this is the percentage recommended by the manufacturer in the instructions for the emulsion for removing paints) oxide from Matrix (Matrix Creme Oxydant 6%) at home, so I did not buy a new one. I chose the paint on the spot, according to the palette that was in the store. I bought all this yesterday at 5 o"clock in the evening and, upon arriving home, immediately began the process.

Process

It is recommended to do the wash on dirty hair so as not to damage it too much. My hair was just three days fresh. At first, I decided to wash and color just one strand, the so-called test strand. I did not decide to chop off my shoulder so that the gray-brown-raspberry or, better, bald. All my dancing with a tambourine over this unfortunate strand took more than an hour (5 minutes mixing the reducer and catalyst, 20 minutes the first application of the emulsion and waiting, about 5 minutes tightening the first layer with paper towels, 20 minutes the second application of the emulsion and waiting, 3 minutes applying the neutralizer and waiting, assessing the result, minutes washing the strand with warm running water and shampoo, 3 times, 5 minutes drying the strand with a hairdryer, 5 minutes diluting the oxide and dye, applying it to the hair, 30 minutes waiting, 2 minutes washing the dye from the hair, 5 minutes drying the strand with a hairdryer) The result I can’t say that I was satisfied with, the color of the strand after so many actions did not differ strikingly from the main hair color ..

(I apologize for the pictures; I was primarily sharing my impressions and the outcome because I had no idea what would happen in the end and didn’t think to record the entire process.)

But I was determined, and moved on to execution over the entire canvas of hair.
By the time my huge experiment began, the cold water in our house was turned off. I was angry, but that didn’t stop me. I filled 2 large basins with hot water, brought several large bottles, filled in advance for unforeseen cases like this, with cold water, took a small ladle to wash all this off your head, and put everything together in the bath, where it safely waited for its time.
It was decided to carry out the entire process in the bathroom, t.to. it was already very dark. It was already about 7 o"clock. Honestly, I regretted that I chose this particular place, since the wash-off smelled incredibly, and If I hadn"t periodically opened the door for ventilation, I probably would have fallen asleep there.
So, I put it on my shoulders The life of life a towel, in order not to kill her T -shirt, put on gloves, and completely followed the instructions. Mixed the contents of the bottle N1 (recoverer) and N2 (catalyst) Little by little, portioned. In the first application, I mixed about 1/3 of the contents of the first bottle and the same amount of the contents of the second, divided the hair into parts T.e. left only the lower hair near her neck, and began to apply. Applied the mixture with a brush, distributed her fingers on the strands. It was hard to do evenly, but I tried as best I could. This took a long time, and I began to worry that I would overexpose the mixture on my hair (exposure time for 20 minutes) accelerated. As a result, in 20 minutes I managed to smear 2/3 hair. Began to tighten with the lower hair with paper towels this Thus mixture, color arranged me. To apply an emulsion to these strands did not. Continued to smear the remaining hair. During this time, it came to pull the mixture from the middle part of the hair. Pulled away, the color also arranged me. It was an interesting color resembling blond. While looking at the hair, it"s time to pull the emulsion from the upper part of the mane. On them I kept the mixture the least and warmed a little with a hairdryer.
In general, the hair canvas was not injured, but individual hairs after using the emulsion were like a chewing gum, stretched. They looked very thin, so much so that I felt scared What have I done
Having finished with washing, I began to wash off all this good from my head. Let me remind you, a bucket from a basin … It was a separate adventure, what to hide. I would not want to repeat such an experience. But, to my happiness, I managed!)
squeezed and dried her hair with a towel, began to apply the contents of the bottle N3 (neutralizer). I missed all my hair, waited 3 minutes, as indicated in the instructions. The hair was not darkened, then everything is done correctly. I started to rinse and wash them with shampoo. The instructions say that you need a deep cleansing shampoo, but for lack of anything else, I took a simple sulfate shampoo. This did not affect the result, I will say right away. I washed my hair 3 times. I went to dry it with a hairdryer to move on to the next stage, coloring.
You can judge the result of the wash yourself:
It was something similar to the result of bleaching. The hair in my color-blind opinion was yellow-blond. It did not look completely scary but nevertheless frightening
This meant that I could finally dye my hair!
Here I resorted to the help of my mother, because I would hardly have managed it myself.
I diluted two tubes of paint of 60 ml each. and the same amount of oxide in a non-metallic container (standard). The total came out 240 ml. (this was enough by a stretch) I threw the same towel over my shoulders and we mom got to work.
We started coloring from the length, and not traditionally from the roots, because my roots were grown out, light brown, and the color would have taken on them instantly, making the roots much brighter than the length. It took about 20 minutes in total. According to my mother, starting coloring from the length was unusual and difficult for her, but in the end everything turned out well. Having finished applying the color along the length, we immediately started applying the color to the roots. This was also a laborious, painstaking process that took about 20 minutes. I kept the color on my hair for another 20 minutes.
And finally, after this time, I went to wash it off. The color washed off well and without problems. By that time they gave me water, and I was incredibly happy about it. After washing off the color, I applied a nourishing mask to my hair. I kept it on for about 5 minutes (it was already evening, half past eight, I had less and less strength and patience) and washed it off. My hair felt the same to the touch as before. It was as if a weight had been lifted from my heart.
After letting it dry a little I took a break, I went to dry it. I applied it beforehand generously oil the ends of the hair and do not spare the leave-in cream along the entire length. I was not afraid to get dirty icicles, because now the hair was the more, the better. When drying, the beautiful red color was already visible. I was happy!
After drying, I applied heat protection to my hair and straightened it with an iron as usual. Under artificial electric lighting, my hair did not seem very red, but still red! And this means that I achieved what I wanted.

Result

It wasn’t until the following day, in the daylight, that I could truly appreciate the outcome. I was quite happy with the outcome. Yes, there are some color irregularities, but they don’t look too bad. Thus, prior to: Subsequently, under a bright sun: Additionally, in somewhat different lighting:

Origins:

Overall, the color did not turn out very bright, muted, more brown with red than just red. Quite a lot went dark, but that"s what I expected. That"s the color I wanted. I don"t regret what I did
Let"s see what happens next. How the color will be washed off, how soon I will want to become a brown -haired woman again, how washing and dyeing will affect the quality of the hair (until I noticed any difference). But now I"m glad that my appearance has changed. My overall image has been refreshed.
Well, something like that.
Do I recommend doing the same experiment on your hair? Absolutely not, if you"re afraid of an unpredictable result. It"s better to go to a good hairdresser to see a specialist. I"m an experimenter by nature, so I dared to do something like this

Changing your hair color is always an adventure, especially when going from a brunette to a redhead. It can be unpredictable, exciting, and sometimes even a bit chaotic. But in the end, it’s all about expressing yourself and embracing a new look.

There’s always something to laugh at and something to learn, even when things don’t go according to plan. Every hair makeover is a unique experience, whether it’s a quirky tale of an unexpected result or the pure delight of trying something different.

It’s not just about the color in the end. It’s about having fun, being self-assured, and occasionally even sharing a humorous mishap with friends. Thus, accept the mess, enjoy the process, and keep in mind that change can be a positive thing.
