Not everything about growing long, healthy hair is as glamorous as it seems. There are obstacles along the way, and my experience has been no different. It’s a journey. I’ve been working for the length and health I’ve always desired for ten years, but the road hasn’t been easy.
There have been happy times when I could see tangible progress, but there have also been disappointments when harm or errors made me want to give up. This journey taught me patience and resilience, from trying out different routines to dealing with breakage and slow growth.
I’ve discovered what works and what doesn’t for my hair through trial and error. Comprehending the distinct requirements of your hair is just as important as using products or techniques. This is my story, complete with highs and lows and lessons learned along the way.

What pushed me to conscious hair care
Hair in childhood
I had long natural hair for my entire conscious life—that is, my childhood and the first half of my teenage years. I had long hair, as far back as I can recall. When I was a kid, my mother would always make me a signature basket and braid my hair in different styles and pigtails. How I detested it. 129315;
When I was younger, the only thing about my hair that bothered me was how tangled it got after washing. My mother had to work very hard to untangle the tangles because there were no detangling sprays available earlier. I use special sprays every time I wash my hair because, incidentally, my hair still gets tangled. And since there are so many rulers available these days to make combing kids’ hair easier, I’m glad that kids nowadays don’t have the same issues. You can also always purchase them if you so choose.
I’ve always had bangs, and in my later teens, I also chopped them once or twice before realizing the next day that I wanted to get rid of them. I began to spread them out. I now realize that I really don’t want bangs and that they are not my thing at all.
However, my mother told me when I started kindergarten that my father found it hard to manage my long hair, she left for work too early, and there was no one to braid my hair. My hair was still chopped short by them. I remember drawing a cage in brilliant green paint on my arm because it hurt, and I didn’t really care what happened to my hair at the time. Oh, these kids. And I got bit by the monkey in the picture. It appears that they also hadn’t taught me how to smile for the picture. Naturally, after the bite, I appear irate.
Backstory
How did I decide that my hair required immediate attention? And it’s all very easy; up until the ninth grade, I had long, gorgeous hair that was my own color, if not very thick. And I had a strong desire to create a ladder out of my long hair in the ninth grade. Note that this is lengthy.
Instead of giving me money, my mother took it from my grandmother, went to the hairdresser, and from what I could see, made it very apparent what I wanted. However, the hairdresser did not appear to hear me at that moment as she was contentedly chatting with a neighbor who was also cutting someone’s hair.
I watched as she first chopped off my length and it dropped to the ground. After that, she started tormenting my hair with thinning scissors, and after 30 minutes, not a shred of my length remained. I thought I looked cool and I was challenging society at the time, so I liked the outcome.
Whichever way I lean to the left. I took this picture practically right away after getting my hair cut. My hair had already been dyed in a "Sandy blonde" tone at that point. I’ll come to the realization later on that I need to be even lighter and that this isn’t enough for me.
With such short hair, I did not stay around for very long. I also did some coloring and highlighting, but I left the length alone. I regret not realizing at the time that, with the care I was receiving, my hair would simply break off and I would never be able to grow it out the way I wanted. I tried coloring and growing out my hair for a few years because I thought being a blonde would suit me at the time.
I was a blonde for a few years until I went to the hairdresser one more time. They informed me that a whole strand had broken off and could not be returned when I went only to trim the ends. When I requested that they cut it to match, they once more removed several centimeters. I made the personal decision that this could not go on after I left the hair salon. And I started taking proactive care of my hair. I then started searching online for hair care articles and products to purchase.
I curled my hair, as you can see, because I was not fond of the way it looked straight. Regretfully, they did not comb after washing either; at that point, I had not yet used leave-in conditioners or sprays. It’s also likely that I was unaware of their existence. After I discovered a broken strand in a hair salon, all of these products ended up under my supervision. I had the impression that everything in my world had changed abruptly. I came to the realization that I won’t see long hair if I don’t alter my care.
2025, the beginning of hair care
I want to apologise right away for the poor quality of some of the pictures that I plan to use in this article. I had no idea at the time that these pictures would be used in a piece I wrote for a resource. I didn’t really think about the quality when I made them; I just made them for myself. The same is true of the jar photos; at the time, I hadn’t yet written reviews or created a variety of exquisite compositions for the shot.
However, since these pictures are representative and haven’t been published anywhere yet, I want to display them all. My hair broke at the front and ends after being highlighted in 2012, but I had already established my care routine by then. My hair was starting to show results from my efforts; it was getting easier to comb and more manageable. Damn it, it was still cut in a ladder.
I made a list of the most crucial things for myself after reading numerous articles about hair care. The onion mask called my attention. That’s how I first learned about making homemade hair masks. I also learned about mustard, sour cream, yeast, and red pepper tincture after that.
My attention was drawn to articles about natural hair care that I came across. Naturally, I realize now that it was a mistake. Products labeled as organic or pseudo-organic won’t stretch out blonde hair. Naturally, burdock and castor were the first oils I tried when I started incorporating oils into my care.
The most economical ones involved applying burdock to the scalp and experimenting with castor oil on the length. It just cannot be washed out of fine hair. Additionally, I created DIY masks using mayonnaise, sour cream, and yolk; my hair looked completely different and had a really cool sheen after using these masks. Granted, this could have been accomplished with proper store-bought care, but I enjoyed making and using these masks for some reason. I assumed my hair would be content.
2025. Chaotic care
Looking at the pictures, I can now say that the care was disorganized at the time. I recall reading articles about silicones’ negative effects, so I favored products without them. I genuinely thought they were bad for hair and that using them excessively would make it more brittle and cause split ends.
I began experimenting with Natura Siberica products. Brands like Gliss Kur, Shamtu, Babushka Agafya, and Revivor were also under my care. And even drugstore horse shampoo that claimed to grow hair into a mane. However, I can state that this kind of care is preferable to none at all. In theory, this was a starter set of products, so it’s not the worst.
Plusonda and Revivor masks proved to be a blessing, and as a result, I had them for a very long period. The first leave-in products started to show up in my care. I really enjoyed the Sunsilk cream; after using it, my hair felt really smooth and pleasant. I bought it more than once or twice. The first inexpensive shampoos I liked were Bio; they were reasonably priced and gave my hair a gentle cleanse. were also well-liked and cared for for a long time.
In actuality, there were a ton of jars. I can now clearly say that I made a mistake at that very moment. I didn’t even consider repeating the products I liked or keeping track of the outcomes of certain schemes, let alone structuring my care in any way.
Previously, all I did was wash my hair with the jars that were in the bathroom. My hair was frequently dry, the ends tangled, and it was challenging to comb the canvas, so I wasn’t always happy with the outcome. However, I continued to reject a lot of products at the time. For instance, horse shampoo was terrible-smelling and dried out hair. And I knew that these kinds of products could only be harmful.
Revivor sent me some sprays to make combing easier. I also tried Natura Siberica’s glass jar mask and shampoos, both of which left me feeling let down. For years, I was a big fan of RBA’s bath soap, which I used for both my body and hair.
Fruitful products in the form of sprays, creams, and wash-off masks for skin care emerged. From a broom and felt boot, my hair became more manageable, smooth, and looked great with curls after washing. At least that’s what I thought at the time.
Of course, there was still the problem of brittleness and global thinning of the ends, the hair was dyed and damaged. And now I understand that I needed professional care. At that time, I also refuse to dry my hair with a hairdryer. I can say that just as I refused it then, I still don’t use a hairdryer. Even now in 2023, having a bunch of thermal protection, I rarely resort to the help of a hair dryer when there are no other options, I need to quickly get ready somewhere, and my hair is still wet, or when I wash my hair very late in the evening and my hair will not dry on its own.
The onion mask worked wonders; I noticed my first undercoat and new hair, but the length remained unchanged because of active breakage, as I now realize. I also applied leave-in products with enthusiasm, but I didn’t use silicone oil in my care.
Cream and spray were insufficient for the damaged ends, and they kept happily slipping out of my head. It always made me uncomfortable to see such results in the photos I took. In my daily life, I always curled the ends of my hair because I liked the way it looked that way. Even though the curls took up some of the length, I was still happy to see my hair in a more organized form.
The next thing I did was switch out all of my combs, which ended up ruining and tearing my already damaged hair. When wooden combs and brushes with natural bristles started to show up in my arsenal, I realized right away how carefully they handled my hair and wondered why I had used such horror in the past.
A gelatin-based mask was introduced into the care, by the way, I did it recently, I still like it. After the onion mask, I started making a mask with mustard for growth and strengthening. New oils appeared in the care, in addition to burdock oil, I bought apricot oil and essential oils, which I added to ready-made masks. I bought a cream from the brand Concept in a green jar, by the way, it was my favorite product at that time of care and showed excellent results on my hair. Jars were piling up in the bathroom, the care was growing, but, again, it did not have any specific structure.
Of the leave-in sprays, I started buying Elsevе, these sprays made combing easier and helped me not to pull out my hair, but there is still no silicone oil in the care, and my ends are sad and suffering. Although I can note that the quality of the hair is getting much better. Thanks to the mustard mask, I get faster growth, and masks and balms paired with leave-in products give hair smoothness and shine. Of course, care began to drag me in and I no longer washed my hair without using masks and did not comb it without sprays. And I cherished the dream of achieving gorgeous, cool results. I set myself a goal and decided to go for it. Also in 2012, I set myself the goal of growing my color.
Hair in life 11 years ago
Even though my hair was still awfully short at the time, I still liked the way it curled. Looking at these pictures now, I can’t even begin to imagine how I managed to walk so long. At that point, in order to attain the canvas’s quality, I had to make a choice and develop my color. However, I persisted in torturing my hair with homemade coloring and, in theory, minimized the significance of half of the care efforts. However, nothing can be done; I enjoyed my blonde hair.
2025. The beginning of conscious care
I can say that compared to last year, my hair started to please me much more in 2013. They got denser and more elastic, and I could tell they were getting better. However, despite my best efforts, as you can see in the photo, the lower portion of the hair and the ends are still broken and split.
I rarely trim the ends because my goal is to fulfill my dream of having very long hair as soon as possible. I analyze now and come to the conclusion that it is all in vain. Had I progressively severed the damaged ends, I would have reached a satisfactory cut considerably sooner.
I bought myself hair on clips in 2013 because I really wanted long hair but things were not going my way. Naturally, I didn’t wear them every day, but I enjoyed wearing them for special occasions like holidays and picture sessions. With this shock, I felt like a real long-haired beauty, but naturally, it was obvious that the hair was not mine when I looked closely. In addition, I’m cutting my bangs again, which was another mistake I made.
Care in 2025. Gliss Kur, Ollin, Avon, Oriflame
What looks promising in the field of care at the start of 2013? I still recall how awesome the leave-in cream I bought from Oriflame was. Lastly, I treat myself to an Avon silicone leave-in oil.
Prior to that, I had the grave belief that this phase of hair care would damage my hair. I had read about the negative effects of leave-in products, which seemed to build up on the hair and eventually cause it to dry out and deteriorate. Little did I know how wrong I was.
However, after purchasing the first bottle, I came to the conclusion that this was all total nonsense. Elseve and Gliss Kur products are available once more in care, but at the time my hair liked them in general because they provided smoothing, easy combing, and silicones that worked. I began taking supplements. Additionally, Chistaya Liniya made a lot of the products that were used in the care at the time; I can no longer speak well of them because our entire family used them. Although I didn’t use it much, I did take pictures to finish the image.
In addition, I used a lot of "One Hundred Beauty Recipes" products because I liked their scent-focused shampoos and conditioners back then. I probably only use one product consistently, and that is the Plusonda conditioner.
And here it is: a mask from the Ollin brand, the first professional item to enter my collection. It’s unfortunate that I did not make the decision to switch to professional products immediately after I began experimenting with them many, many years ago. The mask made a big impression, and I can still picture my hair being completely unrecognizably smooth and luxurious like a canvas.
My leave-in care has grown, as you can see. The first hair growth and root strengthening serum made its appearance. I guess I was sick of making my own masks and decided to give a store-bought, premade one a try, but I continued to promote growth. Once more, Elseve and Revivor’s cherished spray is visible in the picture. And inexpensive goods from Chistaya Liniya and Kera-Nova, but it was to be expected that they were a total bust.
A balm from Kerasus is the second offering from Profa, which debuted in the latter half of 2013. Finally, I treated myself to some silicone oil from Garnier Fructis. Notably, this oil protected my hair and ends and prevented them from breaking and splitting after haircuts. It also served me well for a number of years. Of course, looking at it now, I wouldn’t pick it for my care because there are far better oils out there, but when I first saw it, it looked elegant and priceless.
Along with purchasing shampoo from iHerb, I also took my first amla and coconut oil. I can now state with certainty that this oil is not the best; even its rancid scent gives away its inferior quality. However, I felt that was the best time for masks at the time, and I enjoyed making them very much. I would even order a couple of bottles for myself if the green website was still operational, as the shampoo turned out to be incredibly gentle and careful.
My motivation to move on came from the comparative collages that I kept making. Since I already thought my hair was strong and attractive, I wanted to give it twice as much attention. Particularly when I contrasted it with my initial state of mind, which further motivated me. I started to motivate myself, but I also kept looking at pictures of gorgeous people with long hair to help me see my dream.
When I started using a sandwich of leave-in products, I noticed that my hair gained more shine, smoothed out, and became even easier to comb. In the curled version, the damage was essentially invisible. This was the year I came to understand that my hair would cease to exist without silicone oil and that these products are not dangerous—on the contrary, they protect the hair. shields the front strands from early split ends and the ends from deterioration. Most likely, it was the year of approval. I was able to accept that silicones for hair can be advantageous.
Buying the Teaser comb was the icing on the cake in 2013. I was thrilled that I had succeeded in getting it, and you have no idea how happy I was when I did. And it was never the same combing my hair after I bought it. Despite having tried other combs that are similar, Teaser holds a special place in my heart because I fell in love with it on the first try and have never cheated on it.
Hair in life 10 years ago
It was clear that hair quality had improved. My hair had a very successful year in 2013. I began using silicone leave-in products and coconut oil to make masks. Additionally, there was spray, oil, and cream available for use at that time. That is to say, I was already using a leave-in product sandwich ten years ago. I also purchased a Teaser comb, fulfilling another dream of mine. Although I hadn’t given much thought to what shampoos and masks to use, I had already begun to develop a few go-to products.
2025. Spontaneous highlighting
I liked everything, my hair made me happy. The quality was only improving, hair breakage was reduced. Coconut oil masks, changing combs and adding new leave-in products to my hair care really helped me. It would seem that I needed to live and rejoice, add new products to my hair care, look for the best shampoos and masks, but it was not so. In the spring, I wanted to be brighter. By that time, I had almost grown out my hair color and thought that 1 highlighting could not ruin my hair. How wrong I was then, this mistake cost me the quality of my hair, which I had already achieved.
The most intriguing aspect is that initially, everything was going well. I was pleased with my increased intelligence. Nonetheless, the hairstylist burned and dried out my hair. Additionally, I have shared this awful story in my posts on a number of occasions when a hairstylist literally started to "tear" my highlights while complaining about how difficult it was to comb them after highlighting them at a point when my hair was already damaged.
She never even used a spray bottle on them. She placed the comb in front of my face, which was all in my hair and had just been my thickness. Now, of course, I would not have remained silent in any other situation and would have taken the comb away from her, but at that particular moment I remained silent. I think this is the worst thing that has ever happened to my hair. It only took me a few minutes to lose quality.
I can say that I had a dense cut on my hair when I went to get highlights. I was constantly trimming the ends at the time to maintain the straight cut. After highlighting, my hair was obviously done after a month or two. in particular the ends, the front strands, and the lower portion. The treatment was excellent; I purchased new masks and oils and introduced a lot of high-quality products, but none of them were helpful. My hair was falling out in front of my eyes.
And ultimately, this is what transpired with my cut. a few months after the hairdresser tore out my highlighted hair. It looked like someone had chewed off all the ends. Saying I was depressed would probably be the same as saying nothing. But I did make the ultimate and irreversible decision to stop coloring or adding highlights to my hair in 2014. And only when I turn gray will I color my hair. I realize now, many years later, that I fulfilled my word.
Care in 2025. Vishy, Organic Tai, Organic Shop
2014 saw a lot of new products come into my possession. That year, the shampoo from Vishy that increased thickness was the pearl of care; I was thrilled with my hair after using it.
I was also given apricot and almond oils from iHerb, which I used to create masks. Elseve hair masks from Organic Shop were also new. Items marked with a * have moved from previous year. I was given new fluid oil from Kapous.
There were new curlers and elastic bands in my arsenal for the first time. When I tried a mask from the "Secrets of Lan" brand for the first time, it made a splash in my hair and I ended up buying a lot more masks from them.
2014 saw the appearance in my care of two more favorite and delicious products: shampoo and conditioner from Organic Thai. I adore this brand, and I currently have oil from them; their scents are simply amazing. I tried an Avon mask that included caviar; I bought this mask a lot back then, and it was one of my favorites. In addition, I made oil wraps with coconut oil that I diluted with iHerb oils. My care got better and better over time.
Hair in life 9 years ago
Even though the highlighting had severely damaged my hair, I thought the light strands brought a freshness to the photo. Even though I liked how my hair looked, I still concluded that I wasn’t ready to highlight and dye it.
My approach to hair care grew more deliberate, incorporating numerous novel products that I was eager to test out right away. Naturally, I shouldn’t have done it, but at the time, I was ecstatic to be blonde once more.
2025. Start of growing out my color again
I accepted that my hair was ruined and began cutting the ends far more frequently than I had done before highlighting. I can say that my hair started to appear thicker and had more of it both visibly and tactilely with the new care.
My "head" of hair looked good with gentle curlers. It was easier to grow out my color the second time around because my hair was already fairly long, as opposed to the first time when I had a torn bob. Furthermore, I was already aware of the fundamentals of care, and even though I wasn’t totally astute, my care was already paying off. I hadn’t yet devised elaborate plans or combinations.
I was invited to write for Hairmaniac in 2015, which was a big deal for me because the administration had come across my writing about my care and early successes on another website.
I was ecstatic to be acknowledged and have people recognize my genuine improvement in quality. I wrote my first lengthy post about where to start growing hair in 2015. My post received very few comments, but I was happy to read every single one of them.
Care in 2025. Secrets lan, Nexxt, Organic Tai
Apart from the "Secrets lan" mask containing mink oil, I was also given another mask that had the intriguing moniker "Crocodile."
I recently repurchased these masks because I still adore them. I also received a set of samples from Angel, and since this was my first experience using the brand, I was really impressed with the products—I particularly enjoyed the leave-in cream-leave-on.
My hair looked amazing after that. I purchased a wash-off hair cream and a new mask from Next. I also received a conditioner from Kerasus, which was a really good product that I used repeatedly. My care was steady for the remainder. When the Kapus brand spray initially came into my care, I fell in love with it right away. It is unquestionably the best product I have ever used.
I kept applying burdock oil masks to my hair roots to encourage growth. I completed a course on masks, took a break, and then restarted. Since drinking liquid linseed oil was unpleasant, I also made the decision to try taking the oil as capsules.
You could say that I became a hair maniac, at least since 2015. My care grew enormous and started to occupy half the restroom. And I was unable to control myself; I enjoyed purchasing and experimenting with different hair products so much that it seemed like there would never be an end.
I’m glad I passed on the Kerastase. Make jokes. Their oil also showed up in my care because I was a big fan of the Organic Thai brand. Goddamn, Natura Siberica shampoo is back in my care. in addition to the mask and conditioner from Organic Shop.
I continued to enjoy pseudo-organics this year. I have no idea where my intense affection for it came from, but it seems like its "naturalness" drew me in. Spivak oils actually showed up in my care; however, after using them for the first time, I found that palm oil worked better for my thin hair than shea butter. I also purchased orange and cedar essential oils.
Hair in life 8 years ago
2025. Even cut
The cut itself and the strands on my sides weren’t exactly the same. I made the decision to get a -10 cm haircut in 2016 in an effort to achieve maximum evenness. And when I noticed the nearly even ruler cut in the picture, it seemed as though I was unable to contain my happiness. I questioned whether my hair looked like this.
My hair had great success this year. The canvas nearly reached its ideal state, and the hair was exceptionally glossy, silky, and smooth. Though the front strands were obviously far from perfect at the time, I believe I was still happy with them overall. The hair looked really good. It wasn’t until 2016 that I experienced a length like that throughout my entire growing period.
Care in 2025. The appearance of professional cosmetics in care
I was given a stylish set from Kokochko in 2016 that included a mask, cream, conditioner, and shampoo. It did wonders for my hair’s condition and provided wonderful moisture. Additionally, a set of "Horsepower" products—a shampoo, mask, and spray—appears to be under my supervision. This was a really successful series that I also enjoyed.
I experimented with lamination at home for the first time in 2016. As it happened, this process is not difficult at all. All you have to do is prepare your hair by washing it with SHGO and apply a mixture of two packets to damp but slightly dry hair. Using a hairdryer, you can reheat the mixture on your hair or leave it as is. and then remove it like you would any other mask; the smoothing effect is incredible. I still have this lamination available to me.
I used to use a very intriguing hair growth line from HairJazz in 2016. It included a shampoo, conditioner, and mask. I took part in one of the marathons with this series, and it was a great experience.
Kokochokko, Horse Power, HairJazz, Korean with snail, and Natura Kamchatka are some of the new shampoos that have joined the care line. Conditioner: Belarusian conditioner Zeitun. More masks were added, including a HairJazz and Horse Power mask, a Korean silk mask, and a moisturizing mask from Kokochoko.
New creams from Kokochoko and Egomania have made an appearance in the leave-in product section. In addition, Horse Power and Savonry have released two new sprays. The oil leave-in product section has been restocked and features a posh oil from Orofluido and an oil from L’Oreal Elseve. Lambok lamination was used as part of the treatment.
Hair in life 7 years ago
My hair gave me wonderful results from the new treatment I developed, and I felt happy every day. It was long, even in curls, and I considered it a success. I took a vacation flight to Tunisia in 2016, and even in that hot, dry climate with a sea of salt, I was still happy with my hair.
I had decent-quality hair when I got back home. However, this time I used the Goldwell sun protection line along with the oil and balm Matrix, which helped keep my hair looking gorgeous and in great condition.
2025. Work on quality, review cosmetics
I made it my mission to make sure that my hair continued to improve in 2017. I was already quite happy with what I had accomplished after all these years of cultivating and tending to it, even though what can I hide? My hair was a canvas of flowing silk. Of course, occasionally I was completely overcome by seasonal hair loss, and occasionally the ends broke and dried out, but other than that, everything was alright. And I resolved the issues as they surfaced.
The front strands were the only subtlety that I did not like for a long time, up until 2017. They weren’t easily broken. Regretfully, their thinning outpaced both the bulk of the hair and the ends. Furthermore, cutting off too much hair was necessary to completely remove all of this stuff because the strand was not always visible in the mass of hair, so at the time I had to put up with it. Trimming the ends did not solve the issue either.
Care in 2025. New review cosmetics
I handled a lot of brands that were sent for reviews. I was happy to have the chance to try out various lines. For instance, I would be willing to repeat all of these products because I truly enjoyed them and have nothing negative to say about them at this time. The spray was my favorite and most remembered product; it really helped to simplify combing.
Doiphin’s natural oils Coco showed up in my hair care regimen. I made the decision to test jojoba, coconut, sesame, and mango oils. Jojoba and coconut impressed me the most for my hair.
For the first time, I tried the Shampoo Bar brand of solid shampoo. This bar left me with a lasting impression. I used Mielo Mielo solid shampoos afterward and was quite pleased with them. They work particularly well for removing oil masks.
I’m experimenting with a lot of lines in 2017, a lot of them are professional. I can say that it works pretty well for my hair. Shampoo, conditioner, and spray from the Macadamia Professional line were all used to the very last drop. The goods are delicious and well worth the price. The shampoo and spray proved to be excellent; the only thing is that I was hoping for a conditioner approach.
With the aid of Kleona brand products, I fortified my hair’s roots; I particularly enjoyed their two solid shampoos and their herbal mask for the root zone. They weren’t as good as Milo and Shampoobar, but they weren’t awful either.
The Spanish professional series from Tahe, which included an oil, mask, and shampoo, was also part of the care. I enjoyed every product in this line; for my long, thin hair, the keratin and argan oil blend enhanced with gold microparticles worked perfectly.
In 2017, I was given another professional series of Brit Hair Group Hair Cola, which included ampoule, botox, shampoo, and mask. When I first tried hair botox, I was really unsure if I would enjoy the process. I can say that, in addition to enjoying this series, I also loved using these products because of their amazing cola scent.
I fell in love with everything right away and didn’t need to search for different ways to use them or dance around the products with a tambourine. My hair now looks even more gorgeous and well-groomed than it did before. I was able to sample two different kinds of Botox in addition to the shampoo and mask.
I can’t help but think of this amazing Farmavita series. After all, their leave-in oil has become so ingrained in my memory that I frequently consider purchasing it once more. Probably for the first time, all three items from the same line have proven to be flawless. I’ve been lucky lately with products, or maybe my hair has just gotten better and less picky, though I lean more toward the former. I wrote this back in 2017. Indeed, it was a productive year for winning lines.
I was also impressed by the next line, Smooth Sexy Hair, which brought back the best memories. The smoothness line from the Sexy Hair brand appealed to me. Even though every product in this line has unique qualities and applications, these products worked wonders for my hair in terms of smoothing and moisturizing—which is precisely why this particular line was selected!
Hair in life 6 years ago
I firmly believe that I haven’t reviewed every product I’ve tried this year. In my life, 2017 saw a huge surge in reviews. And I couldn’t turn down such a deserving professor. However, applying everything at once to one head was obviously incorrect as well. Although I can’t say that this affected the quality of my hair, I currently believe that you should use one line for a sufficient amount of time to determine whether it is worthwhile to repeat and how it works.
My biggest error at the time was being "head over heels" in reviews, feeling like I had to try everything and write reports. For me, it was challenging. I did not have any systematic care plans or methods.
Over the past ten years, growing my hair has been a roller coaster of highs and lows, from fighting split ends and bad haircuts to figuring out what works for me in the end. I gained knowledge about patience, hair care, and accepting setbacks as a necessary part of the journey. My hair is longer and healthier than ever, and I’m ready to share my journey and advice with you after years of trial and error.
2025. Continuation of reviews
I was happy with my hair at the beginning of 2018, that is. They were elastic and dense, and they still lay in a single, exquisite canvas. My cut was quite dense, but I was still happy with it. However, the front strands started to thin out again in the middle of 2018, and the cut started to thin out a little.
And I hold my care’s adaptability responsible. I continued to review new products, but I also received a lot of fantastic products and lines from 2017. However, I ought to have given up. Most likely. Alternatively, perhaps I was winding myself up, as my hair appears fantastic in the picture.
I took a ton of pictures and was pleased with how my hair looked. To test out new products, I switched up the products I was using on my hair. I was happy with the canvas because my hair was well-groomed and the weighting was appropriate. However, these images once more highlight my hairlessness—the front strand on the left, which I secretly detest. My hair has been breaking off on the left side for a long time, and nothing has helped to stop it.
Care in 2025. Vichy Dercos, Mon Platin, Ausganica, John Frieda
This was my first experience using products to thicken my hair, Vichy. My insatiable passion for this type of care, I believe, began with these products. This is what thin hair needs, after all. My hair stopped falling out and became much stronger after reading this line. It also felt thicker and more elastic.
I fell in love with a comb that unexpectedly showed up in my care ikoo home in 2018. My heart belonged to Teaser before it, and I wasn’t going to trade it for anything, but this comb turned out to be really awesome. This year, I fell in love with these flexible and elastic bristles, as well as the chic style and attitude they gave my hair. It can detangle any knots and comb through even damp hair.
The Israeli Mon Platin was the next line to come into my care in 2018. An extract line featuring black caviar sounds incredibly alluring.
The range comprised of hair cream, masks, and shampoo. The product line is ideal for my hair type and has left my hair incredibly glossy and smooth. These goods delighted their owner by lying flat in a single sheet. The moisturizing cream is still at my job even though I bought it again.
The English brand Inecto, which included my favorite coconut in its composition, was next in line. I adore this scent and coconuts. After using the line, I was happy with how my hair looked, and the tactile sensations did not let me down either. The hair is easy to comb through, has a nice feel to it, stays smooth and compliant until the next wash, and does not become dirty before its time.
Like coconut, I adore the inherently pleasant scent of roses. And I was unable to ignore these Ausganica with rose products. There were shampoo and conditioner in the series. While I’m describing these products, I can still smell the lovely, delectable scent of roses. I thoroughly enjoyed using the products because they were so kind, considerate, and pleasant.
Although Envi’s line with argan oil in the composition is pleasant to use, I did not find it particularly enjoyable, and I had no desire to repurchase these items. You are left with only the delicious aroma of the salon.
Having tested the elasticity products in 2017, I felt compelled to test the volume line in 2018. Volume is always desired and necessary for my thin hair. I was quite pleased with the John Frieda brand; I particularly enjoyed the shampoo and conditioner, but what really stood out to me was the volume product used on the roots, which I even repeated and will keep in mind for future posts. This statement is especially pertinent prior to styling and creating big curls.
Hair in life 5 years ago
Hair started to look even better five years ago than it did six years ago. This is clearly seen in the picture, where the color returned and the quality greatly improved. The severely damaged hair had already been chopped off, and the highlights were hardly noticeable at all.
I started working on the thickness and quality of my hair in 2018 after growing to a length I had never had before. It was harder to achieve my goal of having the front strands look amazing. Years passed before the issue of thin hair in this specific area was resolved.
2025. Rest period
I wrote my last post on this site in December 2018, but I won’t discuss why I left—something offended me, and I lost inspiration for a full year before my next post was published in 2020.
Let’s assume that I took some time off from writing posts during this period, but I also took care of my hair. However, there was also little motivation to experiment with new makeup. This is when I found my all-time favorite oat-based mask for today’s Numero; I loved it so much that I used it every day, only sporadically switching it up with my regular care. For instance, I purchased Concept and Estel masks frequently during that year.
2019 also saw two significant life events for me: my wedding and a honeymoon trip to Thailand. Probably the most exciting year was this one. I made the decision to grow my hair as long as possible and avoid getting it cut for as long as possible before the wedding. I can now say with certainty that it was a mistake. Everything looked amazing at first, I was happy with the quality, and the hair seemed strong and thick.
After that, the front strands started to break off once more due to issues. Naturally, the flaws were most obvious on the left side, which was never perfect. Of course, a lot of people never even notice this strand, but I was always particular about it. I cut the ends just before the wedding. Or rather, I made an effort to look flawless before the bachelorette party. I wanted an even thicker cut at the time, so I spared no length.
Care in 2025. Automatic care
After much deliberation, I decided on a Loreal shampoo and mask set to bring with me to a tropical location. Designed to protect and stop breakage, the Inforcer series is marketed as a line for weaker hair.
I tried the shampoo numerous times at home, but I was unable to control it and my hair turned into snot. There is no other comparison that I could find. It is just extremely soft. However, this line pulled my hair and took excellent care of it in Thailand, which has a very different climate.
Naturally, I brought the Numero mask with oils, leave-in sprays, and oats with me. This time, I didn’t bring a lot of makeup, and I can honestly say that Loreal saved my hair from getting ruined.

2025. Return to the site, a breath of fresh air
After my 2020 wedding and honeymoon, I felt inspired to start writing again and started taking care of myself. However, it appears to me that I was able to find my budget and learn about minimalism during that time that I was away from the site.
I no longer desired to be in charge of 150 lines with various directions. I am now more picky about the products I use. I started monitoring how my hair responded to different types of care and gave each product a more thorough test.
My hair was getting longer and of acceptable quality. Even so, I won’t realize for a while that my hair quality prevented the wedding hairstyle from failing, but that will happen eventually. I set up a strict budget at the start of 2020 and adhered to it.
Care in 2025. Budget care, Kaaral, JKeratin
For strengthening, I started using burdock oil in root masks. I also purchased shampoo from the Mirola brand at the drugstore, which gave amazing volume. I returned to Concept "Hot Chocolate" and purchased masks. I frequently purchased various sprays under the Kapous brand.
I experimented with a Kaaral series containing wheat proteins in the fall of 2020. I used the conditioner several times and the oil fluid all the way to the end, which is a valuable product that I have considered using again. I really enjoyed these products. Getting to know this series started off really well.
I took care of an intriguing JKeratin cold hair restoration at home that year. It involved three steps and was easier than easy to complete.
"Thank you!" the hair said following the procedure. They lay down and looked beautiful, in my opinion. I simply love this effect—they were more mobile, elastic, and flexible.
Naturally, we had to consider making the hair stronger. Supernova was given the task of strengthening. I was able to grow "kindergarten" hair and a decent undercoat with the help of the serums, which proved to be efficient and effective. which then turned into more thickness.
By year’s end, I had also determined which products were my faves: an oat-based Numero mask and two solid shampoos from Mielo. That was the beginning of my obsession with this mask, which has never left my possession. I cherish it and love it tenderly.
As the New Year approached, I also had the opportunity to test two additional intriguing L’Alga products. It was a beautiful mask with a spray cream for thermal protection. The best thing about these products is their salon scent; I still use and adore the spray.
Hair in life 3 years ago
After taking a small break in 2019, I started trying out new, intriguing products for myself again in 2020, but this time I was much more selective in what I chose. I didn’t buy every item in one go or take every item for review in one go. And I became more and more interested in creating plans and systematizing care. Though I haven’t recorded them yet, this is precisely what was occurring.
2025. Beginning to draw up new working schemes
I loved my updated cut when I came back in 2021. It was elastic and dense, and I once more set out to keep its thickness for as long as I could.
I started using ampoule care regularly and started to choose my products more thoughtfully. The first plans were drawn up in 2021. I began to repeat the product combinations that I had used in various hair washes after I started to remember them.
It was observed that the quality of hair increased multiple times with such a methodical approach. It was also very convenient for me because I didn’t have to think about what to use today; every time, I just used the products that came with a tried-and-true plan to wash my hair.
I got a gadget called Darsonval that a lot of people adore. I started performing darsonvalization procedures on a regular basis. This influences growth acceleration in addition to providing relief from headaches.
Once more, I started to create comparative collages and saw that the front strands and cut quality had significantly changed. Even though I’ve already reached a length of + 75 cm on multiple occasions, the front strands eventually started to grow in a way that I don’t like.
And after that, there was yet another haircut, and the growing started over. I still desired my hair to be the longest possible length with a flawless cut. And I had no intention of giving up.
2025 Care. Thorough care of the front strands and cut
I received enough medical attention in 2021. Of all the shampoos I use, Tresseme is probably the most notable. But I still buy them because I adore this brand, especially their conditioners. Brands like Riche, Angel, Lee Stafford, Kaaral, and others were under my supervision.
Numero with oats continues to be the primary and most popular mask. Idea functions in concert with it. Conditioners play a crucial role in my care as well. My hair is saved in the winter by my favorite hyaluronic acid fillers and ampoules.
I came to the complete realization in 2021 that my hair adores creamy leave-in products. Previously, I used them infrequently, but starting this year, I started using them after every wash, but only on dry hair.
When I apply oil to damp hair later, this will be the greatest discovery I’ve made. My preferred leave-in products have also evolved into sprays. Without utilizing them to make combing easier, no hair wash is complete; Kapous and Concept are still under consideration.
My preferred fluid oil from Kaaral emerged in care and overshadowed all other products; I also used oil from Profs. The supply of leave-in oils has diminished and minimalism has taken hold. Over the years of caring for others, I have grown to love oil masks. Natural oils are still used in care, and there are many of them. Bringing coconut oil from Thailand is still my favorite.
Under my supervision, a line from the Barex Shelkoterapiya series has surfaced. There was a leave-in fluid in addition to the shampoo and mask; for a few years, this became my go-to leave-in.
I want to make this product again in 2023. During the summer, I started to focus more on moisturizing. Previously, I was afraid of these products and only used them when absolutely necessary. I found it challenging to incorporate Kaaral Hydra into my regular routine after it didn’t work out, but I made an effort to try new products. Barex with banana was one of the lines I tried, and my acquaintanceship with it did not work out.
Naturally, the products have an incredible scent that makes you crazy while washing your hair, but I was not pleased with the way my hair turned out. It became extremely thin, exposing all of its natural structure, and applying conditioner didn’t make it better. I spent a lot of time in care trying to "enter" this line, but I never really succeeded. However, I was happy with the inexpensive mask from Constant Delight because it hydrates really well.
In care, interesting sachet bag procedures have also emerged. It’s very convenient that one sachet is good for one use. I had procedures named "Discipline" and "Restoration" in my toolbox. I would try something different from this brand because they were both good in their own right.
I fell in love with the Korean brand Masil in the summer after trying their fillers, which made my hair look completely different. I then purchased additional fillers, shampoos, and even a leave-in conditioner. Additionally, I always take care of fillers in gray bags because I really like the way they look and feel on my hair—almost like they came from a salon procedure. I do not plan to refuse them.
I’ll also present the initial schemes that were created. I really enjoyed the Kaaral 360 mask in 2021, and I considered wearing it again a few times. The Be Fall series products are highly appreciated and adored by my hair. I mixed it with an ampoule from Barex and Korean shampoo and conditioner from Spaklean.
The second plan uses Kaaral products, including oil-fluid and shampoo. I added a balm-mask from Secrets of Lan with a shark to supplement it. additionally used a Concept spray.
I’ll be publishing a lengthy post about how I shield my hair from the heat in 2021. This time, I created schemes and brought tested products with me. I started by organizing every product I owned before deciding which ones I could use without a doubt.
I mostly used a lemon-flavored series from an Israeli brand. These are great everyday products, particularly if you have to wash your hair every day while traveling.
After going through every cosmetic I owned, I came up with two perfect plans that I stuck to for the duration of the trip. I’m happy to report that my hair held up well in spite of the intense heat. I was delighted to have them when I got back from a hot country.
My hair in life 2 years ago
Generally speaking, I liked my hair in 2021. I loved the length of my hair, curled it with my favorite papillotes, and attended a few photo shoots. I was proud of myself at this point because I could now create and repeat care plans. At the same time that I experienced my first successes, I was definitely not following the ideal schemes that could be categorized as deep care, restoration, or moisturizing schemes, but I was in the right direction.
2025. Return of thickness
I liked my hair in October 2021. Up until I experienced the worst hair loss of my life, I liked it. I’ve talked a lot about this unpleasant circumstance in my posts; losing hair made me thinner in some areas.
And I was occupied restoring it for the entire year 2022. I stopped caring too much about the length because one side of my hair thinned out so dramatically and I had to cut off nearly all of the hair that grew back. However, I am extremely happy to report that I was able to halt the hair loss and nearly restore the previous thickness. For me, 2022 was more than successful.
Even now, I cherished a dense, even cut. Even after growing by an additional 85 cm, I went back to 75 cm and did not feel bad about trimming off 10 cm. However, take a look at the stunning cut and ends in the picture on the right. Selling my soul for this isn’t a bad thing.
Care in 2025. I leave only the best
I firmly believed in 2022 that Numero masks now held a place in my heart. I switched up my volume mask routine by using oats and acai. The only issue is that these masks are getting pretty pricey even though they satisfy all of my needs and make me happy every time I use them. However, you are willing to pay any amount of money for a product that you like.
My favorite brand of shampoos, fillers, and leave-in conditioner is still Masil. I truly enjoy the well-known Weleda tonic that is included in my hair loss treatment.
I made the decision in the spring of 2022 to limit the products I keep in my care kit to those that are functional, appealing, and most importantly, appropriate for me. I had had enough of taming products. Keeping products that don’t work or produce inconsistent results in my possession is pointless. However, there are still a few outliers. Take the Kaaral filler mask, which I was so impressed with at first, but then I was let down. And I’m not sure why it affects my hair differently. But I’m not going to buy it again.
During the summer, I came up with clever and practical ideas for moisturizing and revitalizing hair that had been exposed to the sun. Every plan I came up with worked and satisfied me. My hair looked beautiful and felt fantastic.
Estel is the moisturizing mask that I have finally found to be ideal for me. The only thing I regret is not trying it sooner. When used with Angel conditioner, the outcome is spectacular.
I firmly believe that my hair’s superior moisturizing is responsible for my success in 2022. It finally made sense to me why moisturized hair is so beautiful and is praised so highly. Before, I was not at all pleased with my moisturized hair; I did not enjoy the tactile or visual aspects of it. However, these days, everything has drastically changed.
I found two new hair-strengthening and hair-growth-accelerating products in 2022. For a very long time, I had wanted to try Vichy ampoules, and now that the stars had aligned, I was able to obtain them. The product was a pleasure to use. Initially purchased to fortify the roots, amplifiers revealed themselves from an unexpected angle.
Naturally, I was also pleased with how well they had accelerated my hair growth. However, the Weleda tonic was excellent for fortifying; as a result, I purchased it multiple times and was quite satisfied with its effectiveness. I anticipate keeping the tonic on my shelf for a very long time.
I participated in a marathon in 2022 and won. I was overjoyed about this and, to be honest, shocked that the girls chose my hair and me as their winner. However, many pointed out that maintaining outstanding quality at such a length is more crucial and that increasing the length is insufficient.
And my soul was struck by these words. I’m relieved that the majority of people get this. A well-thought-out and transparent care plan is necessary if you have long or extremely long hair, as one mistake won’t allow the quality to be restored—at least not as quickly as I would like.
A line of dry hair products called Magic Care from the Charisma brand was tested in 2022. The set included a mask, conditioner, and shampoo. And after using this series, I was even more persuaded that nourishing and overly soft shampoos for dry hair—that is, shampoos for fine, naturally occurring hair—should not be used in conjunction with other products serving the same function on my naturally fine hair. A volumizing shampoo would be a fantastic addition to the mask and conditioner. Then, this combination would have been much more appealing to me.
I also came across some interesting items from the local brand Arabia in 2022. I found fluid oil to be quite impressive and it ended up being a near-perfect leave-in for fine hair. It has been my top priority up to this point, and I have already ordered two more leave-in products from Arabia.
Although I didn’t test the shampoo right away, I made the decision to order it again as soon as I did. It gives the appearance of voluminous, swollen hair that is elastic and pleasing from the roots. Usually, it’s love.
I was enthralled with the appearance of two new leave-in products in the care. I found a divine spray that I now have ongoing responsibility for, Angel. The summer was when he made himself known. In addition, he’s amazing at creating curls and has a styling memory. doesn’t fall short of its rating or that of Adricoco’s cream spray, which also won me over with its texture and effect. After the hair is silky and smooth, the tool is inexpensive but effective.
I started working on creating different hairstyles in the summer of 2022 and wrote a separate post about it. Naturally, I didn’t become an expert in hairstyles, but I did try new things and was happy with the results. I believe I will try new hairstyles once the caps come off. And since there are plans to try funding for the volume of roots from various firms, maybe a new post will make up for this.
I was able to test some Belarusian goods under the Tashe brand. And even though the products are again in the budget range, which is where I like to see them, they proved to be very good. When I first tried a two-component peeling, I had nothing but positive experiences. I used the shampoo and conditioner all the way through my routine because they fit in so well.
I also had the good fortune to learn about the Kaaral product line. I now use keratin-infused shampoo and conditioner in my routine. Both products were enjoyable, and I intend to regularly purchase the conditioner. I also intend to purchase a mask from this series for my daily regimen. I have a feeling that it will look good on me and my hair for some reason.
I made the decision to find the best and most efficient schemes in the fall and spring. I completed this and then organized everything into a different post. My plans were designed to nourish, moisturize, and repair hair.
Depending on the state of the hair, each of them switched places. I believe that by 2022, I will have mastered the ability to choose the best scheme to employ at any given moment. Experience was the key, and trial and error revealed the schemes. Angel shampoo and conditioner, Korean fillers, and a Concept mask are now part of my routine. Numerous items are well-suited and have made a lasting impression in my bathroom. I was surprisingly accurate in predicting my hair needs, and I enjoyed them virtually every day.
My goal for the New Year was to maximize the volume in my hair and make the most of it. And I decided to design a plan for perfectly voluminous curls. I wrote a lengthy post about this as well. I made a list of product combinations and determined which worked best; the result was three distinct hairstyles. However, the best one that I desired coincidentally happened to be needed for a picture session.
Before the year ended, I had my heart set on doing a romantic photo shoot, and I wanted to look my best. My picture is 90% successful because of my gorgeous hair. I’m glad I was able to achieve my goal of having voluminous romantic curls because they looked great and kept me content until the next day.
Hair in life in 2025
I will be celebrating my 30-year anniversary in 2022. My hair holds its style and makes me happy during the celebration in the cafe, even in this unbearably hot weather.
I also make lovely curls and attend a variety of photo shoots, like ones in the field. I only occasionally get bothered by small details because I am really content with my hair.
My main mistakes in care
What are the most common errors I have made in my many years of hair-related passion?
- Lack of silicone finishing oil. This is one of my first mistakes. I thought that silicones are evil, I thought that they only bring dryness and brittleness to hair. And I read all this while sitting on forums, and looking at girls with beautiful hair. But I did not take into account the main point, one girl has gorgeous genes and she can wash her hair with one shampoo. The second has a completely different hair type, for example, curly and thick hair. And the third one has long-established natural herbal care. And, of course, none of them like silicone oils, and my thin hair, which was also damaged at that time, needed them for protection and armor.
- Lack of quality combs, incorrect combing – You also need to know how to comb your hair. And I used to do it completely wrong. I pulled them out, didn’t untangle the clumps and, naturally, my hair couldn’t withstand such aggression, broke off, split and fell out. But I solved this mistake – I bought new combs, started combing my hair, starting from the ends, carefully and slowly. And I also introduced combing semi-damp hair, many will say that this is a mistake, but I will tell you, when your hair is thin and tangled, it is better to comb it wet than to wait for it to dry and pull out tangled clumps, tearing out hair and damaging its structure.
- Chaos in products – Of course, the main mistake was the wrong approach to care, in principle. I have not only not made combinations and working schemes from proven products. I just bought what I liked in the store and I didn"t care if it was organic, pseudo-organic, professional or mass-market. Later, for a long time I combined different products that didn"t go well with each other and, in principle, my hair looked good, but if I had started tracking the effect of a particular product on my hair earlier, I would have identified those products that I would want to repeat and would have left only the best in my care earlier.
- Not a careful attitude – You need to keep an eye on thin hair. Even with high-quality and good care, my hair can get tangled, especially in the wind. In my region where I live, there are constant winds, they have been tormenting us all year round lately and it didn"t bother me before. I wanted to be a beauty with loose hair and let it out from under my jacket, walked with loose hair at work and rode public transport with open windows, when in 15 minutes your hair turned into one tangled tuft.
- My main procedures were to untie the hair with a needle after work and at work, I did not let out the combing spray from my hands and scolded myself for damaging my hair. And then I just began to collect them in hairstyles, my problem with confusing was solved by itself, my hair no longer pursues nodules and shreds that need to be unraveling for hours, and the quality of the hair has increased from times. Also in the cold, I naturally do not let out my hair.
- Lack of regular haircuts– I previously neglected this. I thought I would put the length of the length, and then I will cut off. At the very beginning of the way, I did not care what ends, t.To. They were still terrible and torn, but then a perfectionist came from where did not get and he began to literally force me to take on the scissors. I experimented a couple of times, already having long hair, I was in the gang of those who don’t cut their hair, but in fact I came to the conclusion that the more often I trim my hair, the thicker and smoother it looks. If I don"t cut my hair for six months or more, then I"ll cut off much more than I planned. That"s why from now on my life includes regularly trimming the ends and updating the cut.
- Combing my hair before washing, applying the mask strand by strand, not sleeping with wet hair – I can"t ignore this point, because my hair requires special attention when washing and applying masks due to tangles, you need to do it right. Before washing, be sure to comb your hair, and thoroughly. Washing your hair with clumps and tangles is taboo! Even if I"m sick, I feel bad or I really want to sleep, I"ll still follow these rules.
- I also apply the mask in a special way, upside down, I separate my hair into small strands and only then with smoothing soft movements I apply the mask or conditioner. I seem to smooth each strand with the mask applied to it, untangling all the knots, and then I gather all the hair together and smooth the ends, applying another portion of the product. I think everyone has heard about the point about not sleeping with wet hair, and many still do it. For me, this point is on the black list, I will never go to bed with wet hair, even if I fall off my feet. Because for my hair, it"s death.
- Lack of conditioners – This point appeared on my list not so long ago. But in my case, I would also attribute the failure to cover the masks with conditioner to a mistake. Earlier, I thought that I would get overdone, my hair would become greasy icicles if I used conditioner, but I was wrong. I needed to find my own conditioner, light and at the same time working. And this is the best conditioner – Angel. Closing with conditioner gave my hair a new life, brought it to a new level, the ends began to please me from haircut to haircut, the problem of brittleness and split ends went away, my hair never gets electrified at all. Even when I put on a sweater.
- Lack of moisture – having tried the Kaaral Hydra mask a long time ago, and being completely disappointed in it and the appearance of my hair after it, I decided to give up such masks. I bought multifunctional products and thought that my hair had everything it needed with this approach. Now that I found Estel Hydra I can say that it didn"t, and I was wrong. When I first tried my ideal moisturizing regimen, I realized what truly moisturized hair can be like, properly moisturized. They are fluid, well-groomed, strong. It"s a thrill.
Year | Experience |
1 | Started growing my hair, excited but unaware of the challenges ahead. |
2 | Struggled with split ends, learned the importance of regular trims. |
3 | Hit a growth plateau, frustration set in, but stayed committed. |
4 | Discovered the right hair care products, saw some improvement. |
5 | Major haircut due to damage, felt like a setback, but it was necessary. |
6 | Started taking vitamins and improving my diet, hair grew healthier. |
7 | Dealt with seasonal hair shedding, kept my routine consistent. |
8 | Growth sped up, finally reached shoulder length, felt motivated. |
9 | Experimented with styles, but stayed cautious to avoid damage. |
10 | Achieved my goal of long, healthy hair, proud of the journey. |
In retrospect, I realize how difficult it was for me to grow my hair long. It took perseverance, experience, and realization of what genuinely worked for me. Even though I experienced frustration occasionally, I learned something new from every setback.
I learned through trial and error how important it is to take care of the health of my hair in addition to its length. Over time, I formed small habits that added up to a big difference: using gentle products and avoiding heat damage.
If your path is similar, keep in mind that every person’s journey with hair is different. Accept and enjoy the highs and lows, and try not to be too hard on yourself. You’ll eventually figure out what works best for you and get the outcomes you’ve been wanting.
