More than a year on the site. Growing Hairmaniac

After more than a year, being a part of the Hairmaniac community has taught me that learning, trying new things, and sharing experiences are more important than just growing hair. Beginning

What does the picture show us? For a respectable appearance, "ends," or rather their remnants, need to be trimmed to a minimum of 8 to 10 cm. I see icicle hair, too. I see now that this is obviously an overdose. Sincerely, I thought that I required all three kinds of leave-in conditioners—spray for damp hair, cream, and oil—in a single wash. and after they’re dry, apply oil to the ends.

I want to draw attention to my first mistake, which is that you don’t have to put everything on severely damaged hair in the hopes that it will heal. Particularly on hair that is already prone to clumping into icicles due to its thin and low porosity.

Let’s examine my basic medical care during that time! Specifically, I located those uncommon pictures.

I want to commend myself for this care, which is far better than nothing, before I start critiquing. However, it is immediately apparent that this set of products does not include a rinse-off moisturizing care.

With ease, we now proceed to Mistake #2. I’ll allow myself to offer some unsolicited advice to people who are just getting interested in hair care right now: start selecting moisturizing products! My own experience tells me that this is crucial. My hair stood like straw the day after washing, and as a logical result, it developed wild fragility. This was specifically due to the lack of moisturizing products.

You will notice that Novex, which contains keratin, Matrix Total Treat, which contains proteins, and Kay Pro Special Care Keratin mask, which contains proteins and peptides, are the masks that contain keratin and Kerastase Therapy. There are only two masks that are devoid of keratin or protein: Numero mask with oats and Kerastase Nutritive. They are nourishing. Therefore, the conclusion and error #3—too much protein—are drawn. At that moment, I thought, "Damaged hair needs keratin and proteins." However, my hair started to react with even more dryness and brittleness for an unknown reason. However, I was "repairing" it!

When I look at the shampoos that were available back then, I realize that even back then—pardon the tautology—I knew that I needed both a sulfate and a sulfate-free shampoo for my hair care regimen. Then I understood that a soft shampoo is not the same as a sulfate-free one. Using the example of Inoar Resistance shampoo, which washed out until it squeaked, I came to this realization.

Dyeing

I’ll address dying in another post. During this time, I stopped using powder to lighten the roots and started using super lightening dye. I believe that this was one of the best choices. It is possible to grow powder hair. Such instances can be found on the website. I didn’t require a very light blond, though. Hence, it turned out that using powder was unnecessary. Additionally, growing hair with dye is simpler.

First marathon

I even made the decision to participate in my first hair marathon a little while later! Tresemme coconut conditioner and Hydra provided my hair with incredible hydration during this time. Admittedly, it was a revelation. I instantly knew what my hair had been missing all along. Really, is it better to see the light later than never?

After Hydra, my hair looked like this. Yes, it appeared as though I was making contact with space. However, my hair was incredibly gentle and soft. I was willing to put up with the smell of this magic mask as well as the sticking out hair for the sake of this feeling.

However, the wildest fragility had unfortunately already started, and its effects are irreversible. Just chop and join. To avoid being ill-founded, allow me to present this image. What knowledge you have regarding brittleness?

I then make the decision to trim the length that is most damaged by a few centimeters every month. Since the front strands were already the shortest, it was decided not to cut them, even though they appeared to have been torn by dogs. And I had already started mentally bidding farewell to ideas of length.

Ampoules

I give ampoules a second chance as a hair care product during my first marathon. I purchased ampoules of Alfaparf Essential Oil and was quite pleased with it. The hair washing procedure moved quickly, which is great because it saves a lot of time and produces results that far outweigh the energy expenditures.

My initial experience with the well-known Restructure from Kaaral was not successful; after applying the ampoule to my hair for thirty to forty minutes, I received straw. This is my fourth mistake; the girls here didn’t tell me until much later that ampoules can’t be left on for extended periods of time.

For my hair and knowledge, being a part of the Hairmaniac community for more than a year has been an inspiring journey of growth. I’ve tried out new methods, picked up priceless advice from other members, and noticed noticeable improvements in my hair care regimen during this time. My motivation has been sustained by the encouraging atmosphere, and I can’t wait to keep getting better and educating those who are just starting out on their own hair growth journey.

Overdrinking

I will never forget this marathon because of one more surprise. It was the first overindulgence in alcohol. The nourishing shampoo Wella Invigo Nutri Enrich, or rather its frequent use, is what I believe to be the culprit. Although it contains silicones, it is sulfate.

Prior to that, I thought of Perepita as a mythical unicorn, which I am personally unable to meet because my hair is dead and dry from three bleachings. However, a day after using Hydra to wash my hair, my hair became really dry and hard to comb through. There was no difference after several washings. And I started to have doubts about something. Since deep cleansing shampoo was out of the question, a standard sulfate shampoo without silicones in the formula was chosen instead. Tresemme with green tea was the winner.

The hair started to come back to life after using this shampoo for two consecutive washes and pulling the foam along the length of the hair. We then easily moved on to error number five, which involved silicones in the shampoo. I made the decision to stay away from them because I don’t need it.

It was around that same time that I made the personal decision to start sleeping in a braid. Since then, I’ve braided my hair at night every night after using one of the many cosmetic oils. For those who are just beginning to take conscious care of their hair, let me offer another unsolicited piece of advice: sleep in a braid, please. This will lessen friction in your hair and keep it healthier.

I moved to a different country in the interim, and the first marathon is now over. I completed in this manner.

Olaplex

Upon examining this comparative image, I am still unable to determine whether advancement or regression occurred. I believe that progress was made. My hair started to feel a little softer. Though still far from what I would like to see, the ends now look somewhat better. I make the decision to go all out and give my hair my all after this marathon. I choose to purchase the Olaplex hair care line.

Every other hair wash, I started using the entire Olaplex system, and it worked. Even though I had doubts about my progress after the marathon, I could see the outcome now.

Olaplex has since been a consistent component of my hair washing regimen. The products are still with me and turned out to be very affordable. I only repurchased #3, which has a 100 ml volume.

Lebel

After purchasing Olaplex for a while, I made the decision to place my first Lebel order. Without the plus sign, it was the Soft Fit mask. I literally fall in love with my hair all over again after using this mask. I like it in all the mirrors and store windows. I can’t stop touching it. The interplay of tactile and visual senses was amazing. This is how the first Soft Fit wash appeared.

I still think that this is my best hair photo. They were plump, hydrated, and soft. I understood that Lebel and I got along well and that I could take.

Next came my darling Lebel Viege Soft and the Lebel Bounce Fit masks. And as it happened, my hair is capable of looking like this.

To put it simply, the Lebel brand radically altered both my hair type and my expectations for hair care products. Let me also say that Lebel’s effect has not yet been surpassed by any other product. And I’ve been experimenting with a lot of new products lately.

I recently acquired a pillowcase composed entirely of Indian silk. I had it made to order. Nothing has ever touched my hair that is more pleasant.

I find that my hair is less dry and crumpled in the morning after using such a pillowcase.

Variety in my care

Next, a plethora of new hair care brands, including Joico, Shea Moisture, Davines, Brae, Hask, and Philip Kingsley, were introduced. This is more than I need, to be honest. I’m a really curious person, though, and I’m not sure what to do about it yet. I literally chastised myself for purchasing a different product not too long ago. After that, I started purchasing samples to pique my curiosity and clear the shelves—killing two birds with one stone :)).

I recently read a post that mentioned that when starting conscious care, you typically try a lot of different products before finding your favorite. And that’s typical. This realization made it easier for me to stop feeling sorry for myself over new purchases. Ultimately, I pay for all of this myself using money I genuinely earned. And there’s already so much stress in life. Stress should not be associated with care.
