While I frequently see Keune products in salons, I didn’t get around to trying any of their products out for myself right away. The brand has always generated a lot of buzz, so I was interested to see if it lived up to the expectations. Upon reaching my destination, I was full of ideas to impart.
I was struck, right away, by how streamlined and polished their packaging appeared. It has a high-end feel to it from the outset. Of course, the performance is what counts most, so I was eager to see how their shampoos, conditioners, and styling products affected my hair.
I’ll discuss my thoughts on Keune, the products’ feel, my hair’s reaction, and whether or not I believe they should be a part of your haircare regimen in this post.

About the company
This brand has been around for more than a century and comes from Holland. The Dutch family who started the business is the source of the surname "Keune." The company is currently run by the founder’s grandchildren. With just one plant worldwide, this is a tiny production up to this point.
Keune Haircosmetics takes great pride in the quality of its products and is concerned about the family-run business’s reputation. Only in the Netherlands is the production site, and there is stringent quality control implemented there. The chemical factory is situated in the city of Soest, close to Beatrix, the Dutch queen, in the most environmentally friendly part of the country. This is an interesting fact. The factory’s machinery and technological procedures adhere to international ECO-production standards:
- the production runs on solar energy;
- the products are not tested on animals, the company recycles plastic and reduces its consumption;
- the factory is carbon neutral;
- the company completely recycles waste, actively saves water and preserves forests according to RSPO, FSC, PEFC standards.
The brand’s philosophy is to create high-quality, customer-safe hair cosmetics.
History of the Keune brand
One of the few independent family businesses in the hair care industry, Keune creates unique products only for use by licensed hairdressers.
Jan Keune, a chemist, established Keune Haircosmetics on February 6, 1922, in the heart of Amsterdam. The business started out as a chemical factory and pharmacy. Jan Keune was the first Dutch producer of hair perm products, starting in early 1924. Keune specialized in producing products for hairdressers shortly after World War II. The factory’s dramatic expansion was facilitated by the introduction of Tinta hair dye.
In spite of this, Keune continues to uphold the distinctive qualities of a family-run company, giving particular attention to quality and service. The company’s success can be attributed to its unquenchable drive to keep going forward and never give up on goals already accomplished. Every product Keune releases causes a sensation in the hair industry and is recognized with the most important awards.
Introducing the most innovative and cutting-edge technologies to the professional hair cosmetics market has been Mr. George Kene’s lifelong mission. Sixty countries, including those in Asia, Europe, the USA, Canada, Australia, and Russia, are home to Keune products.

In addition, there is a line for repairing damaged hair and styling.
I was quite impressed by the Keune brand because of its high-quality hair products that truly work. I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in the feel and appearance of my hair thanks to their shampoos and styling products. Rich formulas and long-lasting effects are what make Keune stand out; it gives my hair manageability and shine. All things considered, this brand makes taking care of my hair simpler and more pleasurable.
My products
I started to trust the company because I thought the description of the business and its philosophy was really good. I convinced my toad to place my first order for just one product. I tried five items from the brand overall, ranging from four different lines: conditioner, mask, shampoo, spray, and cream.
My hair has low porosity, is straight, thin, and severely damaged ends. I wash my hair every other day, and my scalp is more on the oily side.
Conditioner keratin complex Care Keratin Smooth Conditioner

Shea butter, also known as karite butter, reduces frizz and guards against moisture. keeps its smoothness and luster all day long. One of the best products for nourishing, strengthening, and repairing split ends and brittle, dry, and damaged hair is shea butter.

My impressions
I used this brand for the first time with the conditioner.
The simple yet elegant design of the thick plastic white matte jars with a colored stripe at the bottom indicating which line the product is from was really appealing to me. The cover is well-built, functional, and unbreakable.
I detected the conditioner’s scent right away; it was floral and creamy, and I found it to be quite pleasant. Unfortunately, it does not stay on the hair for very long.
It applies smoothly to the hair, which is already extremely supple and slick. Usually within five to ten minutes. It is not worse than masks, and I used it as a stand-alone product rather than covering masks with it.
After, I was pleasantly surprised to find my hair to be extremely smooth, shiny, even, and constantly begging to be touched. They looked well-groomed even after drying naturally without the use of a hair dryer. They lay very smoothly and beautifully. My friend enquired as to how I got my hair to lay so beautifully. I informed her that after using conditioner, it dried naturally. "This is magic outside of Hogwarts," the speaker declared.
It is used sparingly, but even so, it ran out in about three to four months. It was very enjoyable to use and the one I reached for the most. Without going overboard or experiencing any bad effects, I could use it every time I wash it and without having to alternate uses. All of the other care products worked well with the conditioner. There won’t be any pictures of my hair after using it because I no longer have it.
A five star rating from me. Sure, I’d make the same purchase again.
Care Satin Oil Milk Hair Oil
Purchase price: approximately 1,400 rubles. 140 milliliters in volume. Goal: to treat dull and dry hair Application domain: length
Description of the manufacturer
Distinct multipurpose Milk-oil Silk care makes dry, drab hair shiny and silky in an instant. combines two technologies in one: shine and nutrition. The light, weightless formula absorbs quickly, doesn’t leave a greasy film, and doesn’t weigh down. The oil smoothes, hydrates, softens, and takes care of the ends of hair while leaving it shining and radiant. shields hair from heat and moisture and improves its beauty daily.
Composition
Polyquaternium-37, Propylene Glycol, Quaternium-87, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Aqua (Water), Sodium Benzoate, Stearyl alcohol, Peg-1 Trideceth-6, Amodimethicone, Glycolic Acid, and Peg-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil Parfum, or fragrance Oil from Adansonia Digitata Seeds, Trideceth-12, Passiflora Incarnata (Seed) Oil, Cetrimonium Chloride, and Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil Saccharomyces/Fermiplasm/Magnesium, Saccharomyces/Iron, Saccharomyces/Zinc Extract from Gardenia Tahitensis Flowers, Fermentation of Saccharomyces with Copper, Saccharomyces with Silicon, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Tocopherol, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, and Geraniol
How to use: Apply to damp or dry hair, or mix with other care products to add extra nutrients.
My impressions
I really thought it was oil when I placed the order, even though I needed an oil leave-in. Once more, there weren’t many reviews, and the ones that were there weren’t very clear when it came to whether or not it was oil. Ultimately, it proved to be a cream (oil-milk, as the manufacturer refers to it). If it weren’t for this error, I never would have heard of Kerastase golden oil, even though I had to order more later.
The cap is sturdy and long-lasting, and the package is constructed of the same white plastic. At one point, the sprayer shoots a stream rather than a cloud. Because of how inconvenient this is, I put the product on my palms first and then spread it throughout my damp hair. I use four to five clicks to separate my hair into two sections.
The cream has a light, powdery, and pleasant scent. The cream has a very unique consistency—it’soilywithout being greasy at all. It covers the hair with ease. It doesn’t weigh you down and is fairly light. I only got overdone once when using multi-layer care; maybe I used too much cream.
Hair gets light, silky, and smooth; it doesn’t keep out moisture. To make the hair appear thicker, I would prefer a slightly heavier consistency. Economical consumption: after nine months of use, I haven’t run out of it.
I believe it will work well on light-colored, low-porosity hair that requires a light cream. In addition, I need something stronger because my hair is now damaged.
A four out of five. won’t happen again.
Conditioner – spray two-phase keratin complex Care Keratin Smooth
The purchase price was 1,200 rubles. 200 milliliters in volume. Goal: to suit all hair types Area of application: length Zinc, copper, silicon, magnesium, and keratin are the active components.
Manufacturer"s promises
Conditioner in two phases Complex Keratin Kene gives hair strength and smoothness. Combining keratin with a special technology straightens hair, balances water levels, and leaves curls looking gorgeous and smooth. Hair shine and softness are enhanced by low pH.
Ingredients
Dimethiconol, Benzophenone-4, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Cyclopentasiloxane, Peg-12 Dimethicone, Lactic Acid, Cetrimonium Chloride, Phenyl Trimethicone, Sodium Benzoate, Polyquaternium-4, Perfume (Flavoring-Polysilphospholyl Glycol Phenol, Propane, Propylene, Propylene), Propylene Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Propylene Phospholylphosphol, Propylene Glycol, Propyl, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Saccharomyces / Magnesium Enzyme, Ci 42090 (Blue 1), Saccharomyces / Iron Enzyme, Saccharzomy, Sch Ces / Copper, Saccharomyces / Silicon Enzyme, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool.
Use by shaking, dabbing a tiny bit into hair; do not rinse.
My impressions
I won’t discuss the packaging because it is identical to the cream. However, this dispenser is far superior because it ejects a fine mist. It smells amazing, slightly richer than conditioner. Make sure to shake the two-phase spray before using it.
When applied, the hair’s softness and smoothness are immediately noticeable, and it turns slick. However, the spray doesn’t weigh down; regardless of how much I applied, there was never an overdrying. The hair gets hydrated and becomes easy to comb. Not a frizz or electrification. I’m pleased with the spray; it works perfectly.
It’s economical to consume, in my opinion. In November 2021, I placed an order for both the cream and the spray together, and the spray has not yet been completed. It should work with any type of hair, healthy or damaged.
A five star rating from me. I might purchase additional items.

Apply shampoo to damp hair, massage the strands, and then rinse the product out. If required, repeat.
My impressions
I’ve already gotten it wrong twice; both times, I ordered a liter of shampoo without first trying it, and they didn’t work for me. Thus, I repeat this for the third time; it teaches nothing, hello rake. He received excellent reviews, so I made the decision to call him my ideal shampoo. It was much more profitable to take a liter at a time than a 300 ml one. (Well, this toad again.) The manufacturer even made a lot of promises in the description.
They included a good, high-quality dispenser with the shampoo. I used it exclusively and threw out the lid right away. Shampoo has a mint color and is nearly transparent. It has a light, almost refreshing scent. The first time, it foams up really nicely.
I was disappointed with shampoo. Not a single fat drop, not even a trace. Conversely, it seemed that the head was getting dirtier even more quickly. He consumes sparingly—perhaps too sparingly.
At first I had a little dandruff from him and some kind of itch appeared. So -so seborrillation. I added to the departure of piling for the scalp, and dandruff and itching passed. It washes quite harshly, the hair really squeaks, but this does not affect the cleanliness of the head at all. In short, I didn"t like it, as you could understand.))) I kept waiting for it to run out, but it didn"t even think about it. I was worried that it would dry out my entire length. In the end, I sold it. I haven"t been so happy for a long time as I was that day.)))
Two out of five is my rating. Will not purchase again.
Care Line Vital Nutrition Mask
Purchase cost: two thousand rubles. 500 milliliters in volume For dull, dry, and damaged hair. Application region: the complete hair length. Ingredients in action: vitamin B5.
Manufacturer"s description
Deeply moisturizing and nourishing mask for extremely dry, porous, and severely damaged hair. provides elasticity and a natural shine to hair. restores the acidity level of the scalp, hair, and skin. helps to seal the cuticles of hair, smoothing it out and detangling it.

Aqua (Water): Propylparaben, Trideceth-12, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Sorbate, Bromo-2-Nitropropane-1,3-Diol, Saccharomyces/Zinc Ferment, Saccharomyces/Copper Ferment, Saccharomyces/Silicon Ferment, CI 14700 (Red 4), Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Saccharomyces/Magnesium Ferment, Saccharomyces/Iron Ferment, CI 19140 (Yellow 5).
Application instructions: massage into shampooed hair. After a mild massage, cover with a warm towel and let sit for three to five minutes. Give it a good rinse. Use a towel to dry your hair.
My impressions
Like the entire brand, the jar is really impressive and has an intriguing design. Inside, there was no membrane for protection. The mask has a wonderful, creamy, light scent. stays off the hair for a short while. I thought the color and texture were similar to the Napoleon cake’s cream. It has a buttery, dense texture akin to Caral Maraes.
I apply it to my hair after distributing a small amount between my palms. It uses very little, about a year’s worth when alternated with other products. After it, the hair is incredibly smooth but also abundant, with the volume of hair being visible. gives density and effectively smooths out straggling hairs without the need for a hair dryer. Although it doesn’t overly nourish the hair, I still don’t use it frequently; instead, I switch it up with other masks. It works great without any conditioner, so I have never covered it.
The mask is also liked by my cat.
I may give it another five stars.

My encounters with Keune have been overwhelmingly positive overall. Their product quality is exceptional, particularly in terms of hair styling and care. Their styling products hold up well throughout the day, and their shampoos and conditioners truly nourish the hair, leaving it feeling soft and healthy.
Keune’s variety is something else I adore about them. There is a product that works for you whether you want to add shine, increase volume, or shield your hair from heat. It’s evident that Keune is committed to developing formulas that provide results without sacrificing the integrity of your hair.
Naturally, each person’s hair type is unique, so each person’s experience may differ. However, based on my own experience, if you’re looking for salon-caliber hair products, Keune is unquestionably worth giving a try.
