Given that colored hair is porous and prone to damage, extra care must be taken to keep it vibrant and healthy. Products made for these kinds of hair must provide deeper protection and nourishment in addition to moisture.
Restoring shine, strength, and manageability is what the Kerastase Chroma Absolu line promises to do for colored, porous hair. However, what is its real performance level?
This post will examine this haircare line in more detail to determine whether it can keep colored hair looking and feeling beautiful.

About the Kerastase Chroma Absolu line
The slogan of the line reads, "Be who you want to be!" Additionally, it seems to me that it accurately captures the previous two years’ trend.
The goal of every product is to get rid of post-coloring hair issues like porosity, frieze, dullness, fast color fading, and brittleness.
The use of three acids in Croma Absolu’s composition—lactic, tartaric, and amino acid—makes it unique. They are in charge of maintaining color fastness, getting rid of fluff, and making the hair look better after coloring. Centella asiatica is another ingredient that contributes to the protection and restoration of hair.
Ash rose is the series’ color. incredibly feminine and delicate.
I would like to note separately that all packages (except for the fluid) consist of 95% recycled plastic
Riche Chroma Respect Shampoo Bath
There are two shampoos in the line:
The producer assures us that the porosity, nutrition, and smoothness of the hair will all decrease. Even six weeks after painting, color saturation is maintained by 92% when using the full range of products.
Packaging
The shampoo comes in a clear bottle that is typical of the brand. There’s an autopsy control under the unscrewing lid that lets you confirm that nobody used the means.
I didn"t like it
The label’s reverse side is applied with all pertinent information. Like you say, I agree with her in many ways but I also disagree slightly. I would like to ask the manufacturer a few questions. Specifically, why do I need to squeeze my hair with a towel after using shampoo? Furthermore, why would you theoretically shampoo clean hair? Someone wearing Haltite Loreal
Texture and composition
Compound
Aqua, Water, Eau Sodium Hydroxide Citric Acid, Laureth-5 Carboxylic Acid, Sodium Chloride, Capryly / Capryl Glucoside, PEG-55 Propylene Glycol Oleate, Propylene Glycol, Salicylic Acid, Polyquaternium-67, Benzoic Acid, Linalool, Limonene, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Lactic Acid, Centella Asiatica Extract, Parfum / Fragrance Ci 17200 / Red 33, Ci 19140 / Yellow 5
Salicylic acid, which effectively combats dandruff and cleanses the scalp, is a component of the shampoo. As previously indicated, lactic acid and Asian centella extract are also included.
Gel shampoo, moderately thick, slightly pink. Perfectly foams, one ruble coin’s worth is sufficient to rinse one’s entire head.
Fragrance, How I can inform you. With it, everything seems complicated to me. It initially fills the air with soft floral overtones and seems really pleasant and subtle. However, oriental motifs are added during washing, which seems quite strong to me. This isn’t really to my taste. Furthermore, even on dry hair, the scent lingers and is hard to mask with other products.
Going forward, I will state that every product in the line has the same scent, though the mask is much brighter and the serum is lighter than the others.
Effect
It wasn’t until mid-March that I began using the shampoo. And vanished… Or rather, completely fell in love. The shampoo precisely cleanses the scalp without leaving the hair dry. Using a lot of foam makes the product cost-effective. However, the hair’s weight and smoothness are what’s most intriguing. There are absolutely no tangles or knots after using the shampoo along the length; I’m not sure how it does it. Fingers slide through the silky smooth hair with ease.
Regarding the moisturizing that the producer informed us of, it exists. The hair appears to swell and become longer after washing, appearing to be more of it. Every time I use this shampoo to wash my hair, I visualize having a 20-cm-circumference ponytail because the sensations greatly enhance this. Dreams within dreams
I’ll also credit the beneficial effects for the absence of scalp irritation and tightness. Shampoo does not build up, and hair washing schedules do not change.
From me, it’s a five.
Kerastase Chroma Absolu Filler Mask
My care set includes a mask; why is that? since I didn’t purchase it In actuality, I received all of the Croma Absolu product miniatures as a gift along with one of the orders.
The manufacturer’s promises:
The enhanced formula fills in porous areas and reaches the cortex, giving the hair a 92% strength boost. If you enjoy experimenting with color but detest when it starts to wash out, these strands are perfect for you because they are 93% more hydrated and retain 92% of their color intensity even six weeks after coloring.
The manufacturer recommends using Fondant Cica Chroma, which can be called either conditioner or milk, as a substitute for the mask. In this post, Le fleurs de Liliss went into great detail about the differences between a mask and milk.
In a nutshell: Masque for thick and normal hair, fondant for thin and normal hair.
The structure of care varies depending on the type of hair.
Packaging
Inside an ash-pink washer-jar is the mask. The front of the package and its entire perimeter are printed with all the pertinent information. On the back, there’s a sticker that has become rusted. And I don’t have any questions about it this time.
Texture and composition
Mask composition
Linalool, limonene, sodium hyaluronate, centella asiatica extract, lactic acid, aqua / water / eau, cetearyl alcohol, amodimethicone, behentrimonium chloride, cetyl esters, isopropyl alcohol, peg / ppg / polybutylene glycol-8 / 5 / 3 glycerin, trideceth-6, phenoxyethanol, arginine, citric acid, cetrimonium chloride, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, linalool, limonene, sodium hyaluronate, centella asiatica extract, Ci 17200, or red 33, and Ci 19140, or yellow 5, are perfumes and scents.
The combination of arginine, which we already know contains lactic acid and centella asiatica extract, strengthens the structure of hair, fills in damaged areas, and restores the integrity of the hair shaft.
At first glance, the white, pearlescent mask appears more gel-like than creamy. For some reason, I thought there would be micro-glitter in it because of the similarity to the Elexir Ultim mask that I owned, but they did not include them in this.
Applying it works like magic, transforming the thick gel into a delicate cream that spreads easily along the length. You can tell right away where the product is applied and where it isn’t because the mask doesn’t get absorbed by the hair.
I experimented with different holding times, ranging from the manufacturer’s suggested 3-5 minutes to 10-15 minutes, but I saw no change in the visual.
Effect
There isn’t any algae left that I would like to feel after washing off. Perfect smoothness, a tiny bit of density, and a little stiffness are present. My hair has never gotten tangled after using the mask three times. Not at all. Why does this surprise me so much? Because my hair has never been so untangled after a mask, save from this one. The most damaged hair tends to have tiny knots at the ends that are simple to remove with a wash. The ends of this mask are flawless.
Furthermore, the effect lasts even after wiping with a towel; all you have to do is run your hands through your hair to eliminate the need for a comb.
Although the mask’s maker says it moisturizes well, I think it actually nourishes and restores. Every time you use it, your hair starts to feel dry around lunchtime on the second day, and you feel the need to moisturize it immediately.
Why did I select this particular image, where you can see some fluff rather than perfectly straight hair? For me, the period following drying is highly suggestive. Because of the porosity of the hair, I usually notice the best results two to three hours after drying. They do not lie flat before then and stay very fluffy. Here, you can see that the hair is even and smooth after ten minutes. There is almost no frizz and the ends shine beautifully. This has worked out well!
Yes, the mask does a great job smoothing and shining the hair, but I think of it more as a going out product than a daily treatment. However, I think moisturizing is crucial.
From me, it’s a five.
Soin Acide Chroma Gloss fluid
Now let’s talk about the most intriguing product, or "star product," as the manufacturer refers to it: Soin Acide Chroma Gloss fluid.
The manufacturer’s assurances:
Soin Acide Chroma Gloss is a leveling wash-off fluid that adds shine to all types of colored hair. This star product is a transparent liquid that turns into a white cream upon contact with water. Penetrating deep into the hair, it makes it 96% stronger and increases the level of moisture by 94%. Highly effective formula with lactic acid at a concentration of 0.7% seals open cuticle scales and transforms the hair surface, reducing frizz and porosity and giving it softness and 70% more brilliant shine. Due to its low molecular weight, the liquid product is deeply absorbed and does not weigh down the hair, leaving it healthy, light and flexible. The hair is so healthy that even after 6 weeks, the color saturation is preserved by 88%
Packaging
The fluid comes in a tiny bottle with a screw top when it is in mini-format. In its original size, in a plastic bottle featuring a handy spout and dosage measurement markings. My miniature has a volume of 15 ml per dose.
The package’s back contains all of the information; the mini-format’sstickerwas not russified.
Texture and composition
Composition
Propylene Glycol, Aqua / Water / Eau, Myristyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Caprylic / Capric Triglyceride, Alcohol Denat. Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Parfum / Fragrance, Cetrimonium Chloride, The ingredients of the product are Peg-14 dimethicone, Ppg-10 methyl glucose ether, Di-C12-13 Alkyl malate, Tocopherol, Tartaric Acid, Linalool, Limonene, Geraniol, Centella Asiatica Extract, and Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate. N284231 /1.
Alcohol comes first (to allow the product to penetrate quickly), followed by propylene glycol, a humectant. Centella asiatica extract is also included in the mixture along with tartaric and lactic acids. Different from Lamellar water, there are no proteins.
The liquid itself smells extremely strongly of alcohol and is transparent and greasy water. When you open the lid, you immediately smell this. The alcohol does, however, evaporate when the product is applied, leaving you with the same scent as other items in the line.
Three uses for the fluid are suggested by the manufacturer:
- Solo use. It is recommended to use for hair after toning, to maintain a cool undertone on the hair.
After shampoo, apply the fluid, rinse, use serum. - Use after milk. For those who regularly tint the roots with a permanent dye and tone the length.
We wash with shampoo, use milk, rinse, apply fluid, rinse, apply serum - Application after mask. For those who regularly bleach their hair, use intense pigments, often change hair color.
The process is exactly the same as with milk, only use a mask
For thick and long hair, it is recommended to use 2 doses of fluid – 30 ml, for thin hair – 15 ml.
Effect
The liquid must be applied to damp hair and then emulsified until a white cream is obtained, much like Lamellar water. A hold lasts one to two minutes. I hold for roughly half an hour. Regardless of the product, I don’t think the effect can be achieved in 1-2 minutes.
The fluid emulsifies quickly and easily, and the hair’s slipperiness is felt right away. The full effect of the algae is apparent. In addition to being silky, the hair is also densely nourished. To be honest, I have never used a product that was so slick.
It is simple to remove the liquid from the hair. There is absolutely no tangling along the entire length. Not even a single tangled strand remains after wiping with a towel! My hair is perfectly straightened by the product; even my wavy ends lie flat. They are also incredibly moisturized and soft.
Undoubtedly, a major benefit of the fluid is that it does not cause dryness on the second day like the mask did. You shouldn’t use it too frequently, though. I used the product again after my first bottle because I was pleased with the results. And on the second day, of course, I came to a dead end. Nevertheless, the presence of alcohol in the mix is noticeable.
Nevertheless, the fluid remains a top choice for me. in order for the hair to look fantastic even right away after drying.
Here, I’ll also include a picture taken ten minutes after using a hairdryer to dry it.
And the way the hair appears in the sunlight:
From me, it’s a five.
In particular, porous and damaged strands of colored hair can benefit from the protection and nourishment that Kerastase Chroma Absolu provides. This line is a good option for people who want to keep color-treated hair healthy and shiny because it focuses on restoring vibrancy, softness, and strength. We’ll investigate in this review whether it actually lives up to the hype, particularly for porous hair types that frequently have trouble holding onto color and moisture.
Thermal Care Serum Chroma Thermique
Hair thermal protection is the line’s ultimate product.
I’m used to textures that are creamy and oily, so the option of thermal protection in a spray seemed strange to me. They are easier to apply, in my opinion, because it is immediately apparent where the product is and is not applied. However, experimenting with a new format is always interesting.
The manufacturer’s promises:
The white liquid is a universal antioxidant thermal serum against frizz for colored hair that is damaged or sensitive. A formula containing centella asiatica and lactic acid helps to maintain color while fully shielding hair from harmful environmental elements like humidity, heat, UV rays, and oxidative stress. leaves the hair with an invisible light microfilm that preserves color. softens hair, increases moisture content by 96%, and minimizes frizz by 77%.
Packaging
The convenient sprayer bottle that houses the thermal protection clicks shut when the lid is closed. On the reverse side, along with a rusted sticker, is printed all the relevant information.
With these kinds of products, the sprayer’s performance is crucial: the product should ideally spray a thick cloud to cover the greatest possible area, with drops that are neither too big nor too spitting. It’s the exact dispenser that Serum Chroma Thermique has.
Texture and composition
Composition
Amdimethicone, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, TridecETH-5, Polyquaternium-37, PhenoxyETHanol, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaproate, Glycerin, TocopherOL, and Arginamine CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT; TRIDECETH-10; PHENYL TRIMETHICONE; LACTIC ACID; PPG-1 TRIDECETH-6; CHLORHEXIDINE DIGLUCONATE; SORBITAN OLEATE; ACETIC ACID; QUATERNIUM-87; SODIUM HYALURONATE; TARTARIC ACID; LINALOOL; PROPYLENE GLYCOL; LIMONENE; GERANIOL; HYDROXYCITRONELLAL; PARFUM / FRAGRANCE
Includes centella asiatica extract, lactic and tartaric acids, and arginine. In addition, tocopherol (vitamin E) helps to prevent hair breakage and acetic acid smooths.
The serum has the consistency of clear, white water. The heat protection has the mildest scent of the entire line, but it clings to your hair for a very long time—by the end of the second day, I can still feel it there. When purchasing a product, keep in mind that not everyone will appreciate this.
Effect
The manufacturer recommends spraying the serum along the entire length of damp or dry hair in sections.
I used this method. Due to the format in the form of a spray, the consumption of heat protection is quite high – in 4 applications I used half of the bottle (about 20 ml).
I should also mention that the product is a little sticky. When it gets on the skin, you can feel the stickiness, but it is completely undetectable on the hair. And it lingers for a good amount of time.
Thermal protection keeps products that have already been applied from losing their shine. But at the same time, it dries it out a little and makes it a little stiffer. On the other hand, it ought to moisturize. I thought I had just used too much product the first time, but after using much less the second time, I experienced the same results.
After experimenting, we found that the serum is most effective when used in conjunction with moisturizing masks. It doesn’t dry out the ends and does a great job at removing fluff. Hair lies flawlessly and has a lovely sheen.
Separately, I should mention that thermal protection has a small aesthetic impact. Even in a very light braid, if you plait your hair before bed, the wave will last until your next hair wash. Curling iron curls should hold as well, in my opinion.
