The right care is the first step towards shiny, healthy hair. If your hair appears dull, feels dry, or is damaged, the kind of shampoo you’re using may be the cause. A decent cleaning regimen is crucial, but it’s also critical to identify cleaning products that don’t exacerbate the problem.
That’s the purpose of my brand-new Absolut Repair Molecular shampoo. It’s made especially to give damaged and porous hair the gentle care it needs. Your hair will be left feeling silky and glossy as the shampoo repairs damage deep within the hair’s structure.
You’ll see a noticeable improvement in the look and texture of your hair with consistent use. Frizz and rough hair strands are gone, leaving behind shiny, silky hair that looks healthy from root to tip.
It’s crucial to use a shampoo that offers both gentle care and deep cleansing if you want shiny, healthy hair. With its gentle formula that provides nourishment and repair without being harsh, my new Absolut Repair Molecular shampoo is ideal for porous and damaged hair, leaving it looking glossy, vibrant, and full of life.

A little about damaged and porous hair
When the cuticle is difficult to close (smoothed), the hair is porous and absorbs care like crazy, and there is no shine at all in some areas, it’s a whole other story.
Porous gray hair is full of holes. Additionally, hair that has been dyed in the past but hasn’t been toned—that is, filled with pigment—for a while is devoid.
That although there appear to be many of them at all times, in actuality they either appear extremely fluffy and remain motionless or, with proper care, can gain weight and hang melancholyly like icicles. An extremely low-reflective fluffy kind of icicle.
Through trial and error, I have removed nourishing and smoothing products from my arsenal because I have been plagued in recent years by the issue of a fluffy icicle rather than a shiny one. I have reduced the complexity of wash-off care and concentrated on moisturizing (I moved from creams and oils to sprays).
However, my hair continued to be damaged, lost color, and grew more and more empty every day. Aggression escalated. The ends started to get parched.
If anyone still does not know why this happened, I will tell you under the spoiler
My hair suffered significant damage as a result of years of coloring and toning it with a highly pigmented dye (double the amount of pigment needed for Asian hair). Since May of this year, my hair has been growing gray (both my natural color and gray hair); I do not use pigments to tone the length. My hair gets dry from pigments. I consciously choose to use care rather than color to fill in the gaps. The ends clearly dried out in the intense summer heat, so I gave them two drastic haircuts (10 cm each). You shouldn’t be shocked to see a range of hair lengths in my posts.
Why such a type of hair needs a shampoo with soft pavas
A stunning image is impossible without gentle cleansing.
If your hair type is the same as mine, you can select a shampoo a hundred thousand times based on your scalp type (oily, sensitive, dry, etc.), but he won’t add beauty canvas. It will thoroughly clean the skin and get the hair ready for more maintenance. That’s it.
Example
For sensitive scalps, I adore Vichy shampoo; it makes my skin feel amazing, but it doesn’t do much for the beauty of my hair. Simply cleanses gently; no other effects. In other words, don’t expect anything more from him; just work with the skin.
The second example
This is Metal Detox L’Oreal shampoo, which I initially disliked but eventually came to love. It functions by reducing the impact of metals on the porous structure, smoothing the cuticle and adding shine to the hair in the root zone (where rinse-off and leave-in care are not applied).
Most likely, it is no secret to anyone that the same mask will reveal itself differently depending on the shampoo used.
I’ve always thought that the type of scalp determines what kind of shampoo is best. Naturally, we examine it in more detail first, but you should also be concerned about the condition of the canvas if the image is important to you, which it probably is if you are reading this post.
Girls, pay attention to your shampoo first if you want your hair to shine like diamonds. Shampoo is the first and most crucial step. The effects of stronger shampoos won’t be immediately remedied by even the most amazing mask.
A little tediousness and my advice
The belief that shampoo "will do anyway" and that you should only spend money on a mask and leave-in conditioner is incorrect (With). If you aren’t ready to invest in other care steps (shampoo, nonsense), don’t waste money on an expensive mask. Money will be a wasted effort, and an expensive cure will do more harm than good because no mask has magical qualities (though these do vary depending on price). Select a departure of roughly one orientation (profile, Natural, Prof., Natural, Lux), and the likelihood that their synergy will satisfy you increases.
Shampoo should have restorative or caring ingredients in its composition, just like a mask, to give hair shine.
However, what about Shgo?
I could be challenged by someone who argues that deeper purification—that is, removing silicones and years of care from the hair—is the path to maximum shine. I won’t contest this; deep cleaning shampoos have a legitimate place, and many people use them successfully on a regular basis. I cannot recommend this level of care to someone with my hair type, and I do not practice it.
How about the skin?
A valid query. When it comes to taking care of your skin, there are gentle shampoos made to highlight the beauty of your tresses. You should also remember to periodically deep clean your skin using scrubs and peelings.
My new love is L"Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair Molecular
300 ml of bottle volume.
Cost roughly 2,500 rubles.
This is 2023’s other new product. The line has only recently begun to be available, so I naturally seized the chance to purchase it sooner.
Details regarding the new product:
Now, how are you supposed to resist and not want "as soon as possible, right now"? In addition, I adore L’Oreal, particularly its newer offerings this year. Generally speaking, it appears to me that L’Oreal raised the bar for its new lines as soon as Kerastase was taken off the Russian market in an effort to appeal to consumers who preferred a higher-end product within the confines of a single company. Naturally, they also increased the cost of the new lines.
Every girl is aware that hair damage cannot be repaired; cosmetics can only make hair appear healthy on the outside. However, as this line states, "Stop, stop! How is this even possible? I’ll give it my best. 🤎 Realistic? Indeed. However, I’m trying and hoping to obtain the healthiest hair possible in this specific instance.
Aroma
Many have already inferred from the text that the shampoo had a very positive effect on me, but I wanted to give you some time to adjust before telling you about the effects on my hair.
I love that the brand started writing a pyramid of the perfume composition in each new line because I am an obsessive perfumer. This is really useful in determining whether or not you will enjoy the product based solely on its scent.
Why the pyramid?
The aroma really shows itself in a few ways, though I have a hard time picturing how it could have been done technically. The base is what’s left on the hair after it’s dried, and the top notes and heart are detectable during application.
Aroma: fragrant and sweet, with hints of sourness and salt. Complex, yet pleasant. More herbs and salt are used during washing (the official website’s image of the perfume’s composition matches my associations), and vanilla, wood, and incense are used after the hair has dried. It doesn’t say incense, but I can definitely feel it.
Olympic Games Vanilla Vibes, Paco Rabanne, and Idôle Aura Lancôme Juliette, with her Lineage armor. Although the scents are not the same, I find that the general concepts of sound and disclosure are similar.
I haven’t come across a new perfume line that is exactly like the Curl Expression series or Baccarat.
The shampoo has a strong scent that clings to hair for a considerable amount of time and even has the ability to overpower the scents of subsequent products.
Consistency and sensations during use
Like the aroma, this is obviously a highly subjective indicator. However, a product is much more enjoyable to use when it has a familiar scent and texture.
I love textures that are thick, creamy, and have large foam heads.
Similar to Metal Detox but slightly thinner, Absolut Repair Molecular has a thick and creamy consistency. homogenous, devoid of mica or inclusions.
I hardly ever use shampoos twice if they foam nicely. For me, cleaning is sufficient.
Despite not containing sulfates, this shampoo has excellent foam. You have the ability to lock your hair. I’m kidding. In addition to being soft and "fatty," or similar to kneading whipped cream between your fingers, the foam is simultaneously thick and elastic. I’ve never felt anything like this before, so it’s strange. I give it one lather. It turned out that my concerns about the texture’s potential to weakly cleanse and weigh down the root zone were unfounded.
I’ll attach it from my jar because the composition on the official website is mistaken for another product.
Full composition:
Glycol Distearate, Parfum / Fragrance, Decyl Glucoside, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Glycerin, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, and Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate • Betaine Cocamidopropyl pp. 5–20; Ceteth-20; Coco-Betaine • Dimethicone/Dinyldimethicone Sodium hydroxide, sodium chloride, carbomer, copolymer, amdimethicone, citric acid, polyquaternium-7, polyquaternium-10, and sodium benzoate • Pin No. 55 Arginine, Propylene Glycol, and Propylene Glycol Oleate Polysorbate 21, Trideceth-6, Linalool, C12-13 Alketh-23, C12-13 Alketh-3, Glycine, Serine, Tyrosine, Cetrimonium Chloride, Glutamic Acid, Phenoxyethanol, Salicylic Acid, and Benzoic Acid
Although it contains many other surfactants, acids, and amino acids, it is actually free of SLS and SLES. And silicones—my personal favorites—without them, where would we be? I didn’t come across any elements that I feel strongly about. Even though I stopped looking at it closely with a magnifying glass a long time ago, I was happy with the composition.
Effect
Amazing and enchanted! Saying I’m happy is the same as saying nothing at all.
The primary purpose, which is cleaning, is made 200% clear. After, the hair is crisp, light, thick, and crumbly. simple to comb.
Soft cleaning—not so soft as to squeak.
It feels as though a mask has already been applied after washing; the ends become extremely pliable and glossy. mellowed in the palms. Once, I became so engrossed in my thoughts that I "withdrew into myself" during the head wash that I almost forgot to put on the mask.
I think you don’t have to worry about rinse-off when using this shampoo. Only leave-in items like sprays, creams, and oils.
Although I’m still a little nervous about it, I believe it can handle this task. Girls with short hair who wish to have fewer jars on the shelf might also find it appealing.
After washing, I advise examining the root zone more closely. Sorting through your hair with your fingers is a very pleasant experience. They are extremely elastic and soft. Touching the hair instead of the wire makes you happy! Girls with burnt blonde, gray, or porous hair will understand this delight without a doubt.
The root zone’s sheen:
Neither increases bulk nor changes how often you wash. I wash my hair every two days.
Extra impressive effects
- Shine, shine, shine! It is crystal. Achieved by smoothing the hair cuticle and filling the voids.
- Softness. What you need in the off-season and winter. Soft, moisturized – tactilely and visually very well-groomed.
- Elasticity and density are what create a beautiful visual. Perfectly lying tips and sensation "a lot of hair" – for me another indicator of healthy, well-groomed hair.
Hair friability and gloss:
Does that mean it restores?
Yes, I do believe that using it has completely changed the structure of my hair, making it appear less porous and damaged. This is the tactile and visual result of restoration, in my opinion.
Is the impact transient?
Yes, of course. This isn’t new hair; this is makeup. You still own your hair. If they are thin, the compaction effect will wear off without continuous use; if they are damaged, the voids will reappear. It is not possible to have flawless hair for years after getting a procedure done at a salon or washing your hair with a miracle product just once. However, I would prefer to.
The only minus, and for some a plus
It smoothes the cuticle, making the curls not last very long (even when fixed with hairspray), and the elastic slides and flies off. My waves usually hold their style or wave until the next washing, but after two hours they straightened out completely. It is important to keep this feature in mind.
Comparison with another shampoo
I’ll use the same brand and price range for increased objectivity. The room’s overhead lighting is on, and the window next to it does not receive direct sunlight. Not a flash.
One of my top 2023 shampoos, L’Oreal Metal Detox, is also seen in the picture on the left. The hair lies nicely and has volume at the roots, but the middle section—which is also the most problematic for me—is severely damaged, and despite the shampoo’s best efforts, it is not able to cover it up. The situation is not particularly corrected by the mask that is applied later or by the leave-in products. How does hair "stand"? Because of the roughness in the middle of the hair, there is also very little shine to the hair.
With the exception of shampoo, the same mask and nonsense were applied on the right. Additionally, it is impossible to identify the hair in the center! Nothing will leak, everything is perfect, everything shines and perfectly reflects light!
I think this comparison provides compelling evidence that shampoo is by no means the factor that affects the result the least.
One wash separates the hair images on the left and right. There were no further deep care procedures performed.
Yes, exactly nothing in common with the yellow-bottled, classic Absolute Repair shampoo. They are so dissimilar from one another! My evaluation of the yellow comrade is available here.
What other products are included in this line
Enclose everything in me!
An extremely intriguing product structure:
- Gel-serum: rinse-off care
instead of the usual masks and conditioners; - A mask that is not a mask, but a leave-in: a moisturizing restorative cream with a thermal protection function;
- Pre-shampoo – filler with phyloxan and without alcohol (!). Salon care, the strongest effect.
