I was tempted by a new hair care brand this summer, right around the time of my birthday. I nearly made the switch after years of faithfully sticking with my beloved Numero, but my curiosity overcame me. Then my hair took an unexpected turn and I ended up with a waterfall of shiny, healthy hair.
The brand of products I tried was surprisingly reasonably priced. The effectiveness of them astounded me, especially considering the price range. These inexpensive solutions swiftly replaced my expensive favorites as my go-to choices for summertime hair care, producing outcomes that were just as good.
I’ll discuss my experiences with these products in this post, along with the reasons they stood out in my routine this season. These could be the perfect choice for you if you’re searching for reasonably priced yet high-quality hair care products.

In the end, it gave me the most gorgeous waterfall-like hair I’ve ever had, even though I was tempted to go from my favorite Numero hair care line this summer on my birthday. Even inexpensive products can surprise you with amazing results, so even though I looked into other options, I found a few new favorites to add to my routine.

Estel Curex Volume Shampoo Living volume
How come I saw this shampoo? As I’ve already mentioned, I respect the Estel brand; I’ve tried their masks and have frequently purchased them. And this seems like a very appropriate care for natural hair on a budget.
Although I liked it, I preferred the Concept brand, and their sprays, for instance, did not really appeal to me. My hair likes it, even though it’s even more affordable. Additionally, I’ve noticed lately that shampoos that include the word "Volume" work really well for me.
I had previously written about the Masil brand shampoo in blue bags in previous posts, and I had even intended to order a full-size version. However, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a bright green bottle, the contents of which instantly won my hair over. However, Masil strikes me as another excellent choice.
General information
Cost: in various shops, the price ranges from 350 to 500 rubles; 300 milliliters is the volume; Brand: Estel; oily hair type; The goal is to give oily hair more volume;
From the manufacturer
The manufacturer guarantees nutrition and hydration in addition to volume. As you may recall, my number one requirement for a shampoo is that it should provide excellent cleansing without being dry or tangling. I always follow up with a length mask, so I’m not able to monitor the effectiveness of the shampoo alone. However, you can always tell by looking at the root zone whether the shampoo dried out, whether it left my hair feeling unpleasantly greasy, or whether it just fluffed up all of my recently grown hair.
You can determine what would have happened to the main length if I hadn’t used the mask and conditioner as a follow-up step by looking at this root zone. As such, the moisturizing and nourishing promises are anything but unnecessary.
I also took note of the promises of flexibility and elasticity because I am the type of person who enjoys this effect on her hair and because my hair looks its best when the products give it firmness, volume, and elasticity. I would prefer to braid them into a bun and ignore them for the entire day when they are feeble, light, and "flying."
Manufacturer"s description
Lecithin gives hair flexibility and elasticity while also aiding in structural restoration and straightening. Hair is nourished and moisturized from the roots to the tips by provitamin B5. Outcome: Increased volume. dietary and hydration.
Appearance
The shampoo is contained in a bright green, thick plastic bottle. The design is fairly straightforward; I wouldn’t say it stands out in any way, but I still like Estel bottles. Nothing ostentatious, modest, or impolite. The primary features of the shampoo are emphasized on the front, along with a list of its active ingredients. The bottle’s glossy surface makes it difficult to capture its inscriptions with a camera, making it completely unphotogenic in the sun. I gave it my all.
Swing dispenser This one is really appealing to me. It doses shampoo conveniently and functions as intended, dispensing no excess product. My go-to shampoo for using in the shower is this one since it tends to fall out of my hands and does not slip when wet.
Texture, aroma
The shampoo is transparent in color and has a nice gel-like texture. My favorite shampoo has the perfect consistency right here. I usually say that I don’t use creamy or white shampoos very often because they either leave my hair feeling unwashed and my scalp and hair getting dirty quickly, or they cover my hair like a film. Transparent gel shampoos, however—though there are exceptions in this instance as well—are a whole other story. For instance, I didn’t like the gel and transparent shampoo from Charisma’s previous post.
I was immediately taken in by the shampoo’s amazing scent, which is refreshing and invigorating. I even detected what I thought were citrus overtones.
Composition
Here is a list of the active ingredients in this shampoo: Lecithin to give the hair flexibility and elasticity and to rebuild its structure. For hydration and nutrition, use provitamin B5.
Composition
Water, glycerin, fragrance, citric acid, propylene glycol, methylisothiazolinone, linalool, limonene, lycithin, sorbitol, sodium laureth sulfate, sodium hyaluronate, methylchloroisothiazolinone, nettle leaf extract, carboxymethyl chitin, polyquaternium-44, glycol distearate, hexyl cinnomate, butylphenyl methylpropionate, and decyl glucoside.
Application
I was pleased with this shampoo from the first use; I didn’t have to search for an approach or dance with a tambourine around it. I placed my order in this manner, received it, used it to wash my hair, and became addicted to my hair.
And guess what? The magic started not only when the hair dried but even when you were washing it. As you rinsed off this shampoo, you noticed an incredibly nice sensation that made your hair feel like it had "swollen." Those with thin hair should be able to relate to me because there are a lot of them and this sensation is simply amazing.
I find that the root zone, where only shampoo is applied, has a WOW effect, so please pay attention to it. The styling looked fantastic for the birthday and no volume-enhancing styling products were used. I was overjoyed!
Impressions
I am happy, I can say that! I have not experienced such positive feelings after using a single shampoo in a very long time. I did try some pleasant ones that seemed like they would work and I even considered using them again, but as I was using them, some changes happened. Furthermore, more times than not, the recurring purchase was put off. This is my second bottle of the shampoo, and I have no doubt that it won’t be my last.
I never would have thought that the Estel low-cost option would be the best for me; it washes hair effectively and precisely, without leaving it dry or tangled, and it also adds volume. The thing I enjoy the most about it is that my hair looks healthy and is elastic and flexible after using it to wash it!
I’d say that after using the shampoo, my hair and I are in love. After giving my hair a long, hard look after the Estel shampoo + mask duet, I noticed that my hair truly looks fantastic. It is supple, silky, nourished, moisturized, and mobile.
In addition, it does not hang under its own weight like icicles, which is something I generally dislike. I’m sure that this is one of my hair’s greatest appearances. You really won’t believe it when you realize that the last haircut was at the start of May. Since I can still see perfect ends in the picture, even though they don’t usually look that way. This indicates that my care is effective. And that makes me happy.
Estel Otium Aqua hair mask deep moisturizing
I had always wanted to try this mask because I had spat a lot on the well-known and adored "Hydra." I’ll say it again: no, I didn’t enjoy it, and I threw out half of the jar. Though there were hankerings to buy it again, I restrained myself and didn’t place the order. Granted, it’s possible that its composition has already changed 100 times, but the scent seems unlikely.
However, I am aware that hair needs to be moisturized, particularly during the hot summer months, so I made the decision to give the hair moisturizing mask another go and see how my hair responded. However, unlike with shampoo, there won’t be any joy here. I’ll explain why it happened below. Delight is there, but it’s not as strong, and there’s no desire to buy this mask again.
General information
Cost: 1,200 rubles; Capacity: 300 milliliters; Estel is the brand. Dry and damaged hair is the type; moisturizing, elasticity, smoothness, firmness, and shine are the goals.
From the manufacturer
In addition to providing intense moisturization, this mask claims to nourish damaged areas, provide elasticity, smoothness, firmness, and shine.
I can’t help but be drawn to a mask that claims to be firm and elastic. This, in my opinion, is the most significant result I have been hoping for. However, as I’ve already experimented with and discovered on my own hair, not all masks that claim to be firm and elastic provide my expectations in full. This mask worked really well, but it did not give me what I wanted.
Description of the manufacturer
Intense moisturizing and hydrobalance restoration for hair. The mask provides deep saturation of hair with the necessary moisture and its preservation in the structure, nutrition, restoration of damaged areas of hair, and protection from static electricity due to its formula containing betaine, lanolin, 13 amino acids, and soy proteins. Hair gets supple, glossy, resilient, and elastic.
Appearance
The mask comes packaged in a circular plastic washer that resembles a jar. The hue is striking, gorgeous, and a deep blue. However, the execution quality is obviously poor in this case as well; notice that the silver color has already faded on the new jar containing the mask.
My jars with Numero masks won’t stand out for their beauty if they are left in the bathroom for six months or longer and nothing bad happens to them from the water.
There are no other issues with the packaging, and I appreciated that the transparent extra protective membrane beneath the lid, which gives the manufacturer an extra bonus, is a sturdy and tight-fitting feature.
Texture, aroma
The texture is delicate and quite pleasant, but I don’t think the mask is thick enough—it looks like whipped body cream. Such textures typically start to absorb into hair very quickly after application; this mask was no exception.
There’s that feeling that you have to apply more and more in order to get the desired result. However, I enjoyed the scent. The mask’s maker claims that it has a sophisticated scent; I detect notes of sweet powder, but cherry only in the background.
With hints of osmanthus, honeysuckle, cherry, and powder, it has a sophisticated scent.
Application
The manufacturer suggests leaving the mask on for five to ten minutes, but I personally prefer to leave them on for longer—though occasionally, incidentally, this turns out to be completely inappropriate.
However, nearly all of my favorite masks work best when left on for 15 to 20 minutes. This is because it’s convenient for me; the mask improves the appearance of my hair while I take care of other bathroom tasks. I tried using this mask for ten and twenty minutes, but to be honest, I didn’t see much of a difference, so I kept it in my collection of masks.
Apply the mask to damp hair, let it sit for five to ten minutes, and then rinse it out. Use once or twice a week.
Impressions
I can say that my hair is pleasantly crumbly and manageable the day after washing; it does not tangle or cling to one another. I noticed both moisturizing and nourishment from this mask.
However, why did I write that I wouldn’t purchase this mask again? Because the elasticity and flexibility are only felt right away after washing; three to four hours later, the effect just goes away and the hair is left feeling light and moisturized, almost exactly as it was before Hydra. This is the place for superior moisturizing. In addition, I enjoy the tactile quality of my hair; it is smooth and silky to the touch.
Generally speaking, I spent a lot of time considering what products to use to make sure my hair would look flawless and please me on my birthday. I tried Estel for a while at first and was considering using both of the products from this post, but at the last minute I tried combining the Estel mask with Numero for volume, and that’s when I got the same result: my hair didn’t become light and weak the next day, and I still had good root volume from the shampoo, so I had the hair of my dreams.
It would be unmatched if this mask gave me hair that looked like it had been washed for two days. However, Numero did not ignore it or remove it from my heart. Even though I will use Estel with pleasure, I will stick with it for the time being because it did not live up to the ideal moniker.
I simply do not like the way that moisturizing looks on my head, so I doubt that I will ever find the perfect moisturizing mask. After all, I have quite different hair, and even though I use conditioners to seal these types of masks, I hardly ever get the desired result.
Though the ends still make me happy, I will keep looking for my moisturizer and note that using the Estel mask only improved the overall condition of the ends and hair. It will soon be the fourth month without a haircut. Even though the temperature has risen to +30 degrees.
Ultimately, I found that sticking with Numero was the right decision for me. On my special day, I was tempted to try something new, but I ultimately decided that having a reliable product that works well every time is always a good idea.
I’ve also found a few inexpensive items this summer that deserve a place in my regimen. Even though they don’t have the same allure as luxury, their performance speaks for itself.
My hair care routine feels complete when the right amount of quality and affordability are combined. It’s always fun to try out new finds along the way, and I’m glad I didn’t stray too far from my favorites.
