UV radiation is one of the hazards to hair that is invisible. resulting in split ends, dryness, brittleness, and color fading. Particularly in colored hair, keratin is degraded by the sun. In order to prevent this, it’s critical to protect hair from UV rays and excessive sun exposure beforehand.
The primary issues that the sun causes are:
- The protective layer of hair and scalp is destroyed. Affects the sebaceous glands.
- Loss of melanin pigment (or any other coloring pigment)And this is not the most desirable highlighting of strands .Melanin absorbs ultraviolet radiation but gradually breaks down itself, and if the skin undergoes partial renewal of pigment protection due to living cells, then the hair is not renewed. Total – photodamage = fading.
- Direct sunlight destroys the amino acids that make up keratin. UVA radiation dries, UVB radiation destroys pigment.
My hair last summer and now
Last summer, my hair was just like any other. slender and fragile, capable of breaking off along its length and readily accepting overheating when it happens. The desire to grow and maintain it was unfulfilled as the hair stopped growing. I then started examining the circumstances that might have led it to this point.
Keratin straightening did not damage hair.
I determined for myself a number of necessary elements:

- Sunscreen
- Moisturizer.

External protection
I’ll start with the most common, and seemingly least important, form of protection: external shielding. Although I frequently wear hats in the winter, the impact of the sun on hair is more apparent. I wear a scarf or a Panama hat and braid my hair. One major drawback that I have personally noticed is that the scalp becomes dirty much more quickly. Last winter, my hair was obviously damaged and porous in the front, so I decided against cutting it.
Oils
BUT
The only thing about coconut and almond oil that I particularly enjoy is its ability to cover and shield hair. This technique works best when used at sea to prevent deep-rooted salt damage to the hair; I’ve tried it a few times in daily life, but the results weren’t very pleasant. Heat, sunlight, perspiration, and even oily hair. I apply it as usual, rubbing it along the length with a pea.
Sunscreens
Surprisingly, the standard sunscreen for my face and body is a must-have.
Chemical filter Garnier spray. Compared to physical filters, chemical filters are less prone to staining and are more stable. Additionally, physical filters give your hair a matte finish that is easily removed with shampoo. Chemical filters have the drawback of being easily oxidized; this happens in a matter of hours, so you will need to wash your hair at the end of the day. I place far more importance on the outcome of sun protection than I do on hair washing.
Unfortunately, neither BC nor Estel (sunscreen series) produced the desired effects when I tried their professional hair protection series. Professional products seem to be weaker than regular body products after a few hours in the intense sun.
Garnier spray or cream fluid is my top priority. includes glycerin, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E. There were no allergic reactions or rashes on me. Since Nivea spray contains more than 27% ethyl alcohol, I strongly advise against using it. Everything will dry out and become hay.
Thirty minutes before heading outside in the sun, I spray the spray on my hair. My hair looks a little oily and sticky at first, but that quickly goes away (it’s not as greasy as coconut oil). However, the cream will have the exact same result as the oil.
I’ll add two creams to the list because they’re good foundational products for SPF. Using Garnier Leave-in SOS cream-care first, I can apply a small amount of cream before using the spray. due to the way it is made. In sunny weather, coconut oil and protein hydrolysis make a good base for hair. As I mentioned in a previous post, I gave up on it due to overnutrition from frequent use.

The summertime care plan is very different from the wintertime one. In order to avoid weighing my hair down and to moisturize it even more, I am getting rid of my Estel Curex and Botanic Therapy arsenal and replacing it with lighter hair products, ampoules, and balms.
I won’t say anything about Kaaral ampoules because only a novice in hair care is unaware of them.Aside from that, it is worthwhile to try; the question is whether they will be successful. TRESemme balms: essential for summertime frequent laundry. includes glycerin, coconut extract, powdered skim milk, and aloe juice powder. doesn’t make the hair weighed down.
