Additionally, keep the product out of your eyes as it becomes more liquid and leaks when heated. The next step is to wrap your hair in film, put on a plastic cap, or just use a bag, whichever is more practical for you and what you have on hand. In my case, I used a bag.

Step 3

Hold the hair warm for twenty minutes. Although heating the hair is not required, it does improve the reaction, causing the hair scales to open and the pigment to be removed. Since my hair dryer is heavy, I had to take a forced measure and heat it twice for five minutes over a twenty-minute period using a regular hair dryer. Since the mixture becomes more liquid as it warms up—as I mentioned above—it started to seep onto the forehead. It is best to remove it as soon as possible.

The foulest smell appears when the food is warming up; it smells like rotten eggs and something else entirely; the bag did not do anything to mask it. However, the smell will still be present and the reaction will still happen even if you don’t warm up your hair.

Step 4

The next step is to use a towel to remove the paint (pigment), as instructed in the instructions. Since it would be unfortunate to ruin the towels, I bought napkins and started wiping my hair, but I got no results and my hair was still red. The napkin was essentially colorless.

Then, after reading in one of the reviews that a girl was done in a salon in this manner, I made the decision to behave differently and simply rinse her hair with SHGO before drying it for the subsequent washing. Although I did not follow the instructions, I cannot guarantee that there won’t be an unexpected outcome in your case. In my case, such use produced a result.

I therefore did two hair washes: the first with just water, which was strange, hazy, and odorous; the second time, I used deep cleansing shampoo, which did not lather as it should have and simply rinsed off. I started drying my hair on a warm setting after that, but I didn’t get it completely dry. I then started applying a brand-new, freshly made mixture once more.

Intermediate result

I noticed a greenish tint on them after drying my hair; it was an unappealing sight, not a strong green color, but still green. Because we finished late, I decided to wait until the next day to lighten my hair.
