A little about Stayler
General information
I used the Complete Long version, which has long nozzles for curling hair. Long hair is easier to lay because it fits more hair on it.
For a considerable amount of time, I attempted to create a collage that was similar in size but not identical. October: Complete Long, left to right.
The carcass is easy to handle and weighs 1.5 times less than my hair dryer.
The styler has two modes for blowing force (on the left) and three air heating power (on the right). Additionally, there is a cold air button (in the middle that must be held down at the top).
Nozzles
Blowing
Additionally outfitted with a panel for fabric smoothing. swaps out a hair dryer:
Smoothing
Two nozzles. Sincerely, I don’t think there is much of a difference.
Brush
Traditional medium-diameter brush.
Creating curls
Two different-diameter nozzles. Depending on how the blowing direction is set (switched at the tip), twist in different directions. Each nozzle had two versions in earlier iterations (a total of four such "logs" in the kit), one for each side.
This information is intended to give you a general idea of the type of beast it is. Since the post is about styling, I won’t go into further detail about the styler itself. However, please let me know if you would like a more thorough explanation of the technologies, materials, innovations, functions of each attachment, and overall operation of the styler. If so, I might write a separate post about it specifically.
The styling process
It takes me ten minutes or so. If initial drying is done, 15.
Option 1: I use chiffon mousse after drying my hair until the roots are dry and it is between 10 and 20 percent damp.
Option 2: If the hair is already dry (I might have washed it in the evening), I apply Chiffon mousse after wetting it with a spray bottle until it is moistened by the same 10–20%.
After that, I pin up the top and bottom sections of my hair. Beginning with the bottom layer, style.
Right before I work with each half, I liberally apply Dallas spray.
The Dyson Airwrap styler’s curling attachments are its best feature; they allow the hair to twist around itself while using a smartly calibrated hot air blast. In other words, it will wind anything for you; you don’t need to. However, on occasion, I still assist by using my hands to distribute the curl more evenly. In fact, I even curl the styler itself, using a curling iron, to achieve the same result.
As directed by the instructions, you must do it as follows: Take a strand and wrap it around the attachment with the styler. Hold it for ten seconds, then switch on the cold air for ten more seconds to fix it. Then, turn it off and take it out.
For me, it doesn’t work. Hair falls out easily. In addition, I watched a ton of videos on hacking Dyson. and not just by me, but also by them.
She also spied on a girl on YouTube, so this isn’t even my invention. I lay in the hottest air on a nozzle with a smaller diameter. I leave it for 15-20 seconds instead of 10 (depending on how wet my hair is). I don’t activate the cooling system. I remove it without shutting off the styler. The styler further twists the curl during the shooting process. While still warm, I give the curls a quick coat of short "zilch" varnish. I walk away.
The winding appears like this:
When I photograph a working stylist, it looks like this:
I feel like a 19th-century young woman right now.
I mentioned in my previous post that I would share my transition from the 90s layout to my daily routine.
This. Roll up your bangs. After it, I truly like its volume and shape.
By the way, I like to curl the brush "up" when I use the Dyson to style my hair. Because the brush on the styler is an attachment on the body rather than a separate brush, it is very convenient and frees up one hand! Additionally, the attachment has a cold tip that you can use to assist in curling the brush.
In the end, that is how things work out. For the curls and bangs to set, you must hold it for a while and allow it to cool. I usually need ten to fifteen minutes to apply makeup and SPF. This is sufficient.
Next, I use a wide-tooth comb to gently go through the curls and use my fingers to separate them.
I also saw a life hack for more volume in one video.
Dallas spray is applied to two side partings, the styler is placed on the parting, the curls are covered, and the device is turned on. It’s crucial to keep the blowing side separate.
A little off-topic about varnish
I use R + Co.’s Outer Space Varnish.
Maybe I’m not doing it right, but I’m not happy with it either. It’s a pretty average fixation. Hairspray curls that aren’t accompanied by mousse fall out quickly, leaving only a faint wave in the hair. Simultaneously, I cover it fairly extensively. Does anyone know what I could be doing incorrectly, maybe?
However, there are also benefits: hairspray doesn’t tangle hair (the last few "varnishes" tangled it a lot, to the point that tangles had to be untangled for a long time with spray); it doesn’t leave a cast on the hair because fixation is really flexible; and it has a very subtle scent that doesn’t overpower the perfume, though I find it to be rather unpleasant (neutral).
But I promise not to do it again after it’s over. I don’t think it’s acceptable to have such a hurtful fixation effect for that kind of money. Oh, Kerastasis with varnish. You are missed. I know you are pricey, but you are well worth the 1,500 rubles; please return.

And the outcome is as follows.
Additionally, during the movement (the window’s lighting changed slightly for five minutes):
I find the styling to be very appealing. I like a little carelessness in my hair rather than perfectly straight hair. In addition, I like my curls wavy.
It’s critical to realize that the styler is not heated to a high temperature like a curling iron, but rather is precisely positioned as a styling tool using a stream of warm air. It is not worth it to expect perfect elastic curls like those you get from a curling iron, nor should you expect the curls to last until the evening. Curls never stay in place. Naturally, the curls are not as elastic as they were right away after styling in the picture and gif above, which shows the results after about two hours.
However, the styling holds up well; I can wear it all day.
I try to curl my hair in the direction of the curls when I make a bun at night. My hair curls in the morning because of the bun, but I can live with the style for another day. Curls are kept in place well by R + Co products (hairspray and mousse), but only after cold styling.
General opinion about R + Co products
I purchased them separately until I eventually came across a good set.
They’re all similar in that they have stylish designs and subtle, enjoyable scents.
But I wasn’t particularly happy with the outcome for all of them. To be honest, I find Outer Space hairspray to be average. Some, like cool wind cream and chiffon mousse, just left happy memories. I’ll enjoy them to the end, but I doubt I’ll purchase them again.
Dallas spray and Zig Zag volume spray were what I truly enjoyed, despite the fact that I generally dislike this product format due to scalp sensations. I really enjoy the way Dallas spray feels on the canvas and how it creates a shock of hair after use. I will definitely buy it again. With the exception of Lanza, almost all of the comparable products and dry shampoos I tried had overpowering scents that blocked everything. In contrast, Zig Zag spray "masks" nicely and has a light scent.
In the earlier sections, I covered products other than hairspray.
In this third installment of the "Hair Styling Passions" series, I discuss how buying a Dyson hair styler changed my everyday hair routine. With its innovative technology and stylish design, the Dyson promises to simplify and expedite styling. Is the investment really worthwhile, though? I go into the benefits and drawbacks of this high-end tool here to assist others in making that decision.
Is the styler worth the money
The price that interests them will be looked at; I won’t reveal it to them. I’ll just mention that I purchased it for a somewhat lower price than it currently is.
However, everyone is aware that Dyson is not inexpensive at all. Whether Dyson equipment is worth the money is the most frequent question asked by its owners.
In my humble opinion, the styler’s materials, functionality, and overall quality make it worth roughly half of what it costs. The name and brand are what remain.
Is it something I regret spending so much money on? Not at all. It is incredibly cool and convenient, and because of it, I’ve developed the habit of styling without needing a lot of time or effort. Without waking up at six in the morning, I can get enough sleep, take care of myself in the morning, prepare and eat breakfast, style my hair, apply makeup, and get ready for work without being late. merely because it takes me fifteen minutes to dry and style. Furthermore, this is invaluable.
Another frequent query among Dyson Airwrap styler owners is whether the tool actually does not damage hair.
Women. This is, of course, marketing. Everything, including combs, pillows, and T-shirts, ruins hair. The damage’s intensity is the only variation. And this is where I can give the Dyson Airwrap some props: in two months of use, I have not noticed a noticeable decline in the quality of the web, particularly the ends, even though I use it quite a bit (I do my hair with it three to five times a week). I have been using curling irons for more than ten years, so I know what I’m talking about when I say that innovations and materials here work well and make a noticeable difference with the same curling iron.
