Natural color and dyeing

An important thing happened in the spring of 2023: I almost went natural with my hair! Though I really ought to have cut my bob a long time ago, I can’t wear short hair on myself. It was simple to trim the last 15 centimeters and enjoy having fairly long hair of your color with a length from the forehead of roughly 72 centimeters.

I spent 28 months growing out my color, from December 2020 to April 2023, so that’s how long it took me to get long, natural hair.

When I first started growing, the natural color greatly inspired me. Its flair of unique naturalness swept me away into an environment of self-acceptance and natural beauty. I had a literal dream of having gorgeous light brown hair. I came to believe that this was the only correct course of action at a certain point because I genuinely thought that "nature is never wrong."

I arrived at Hairmaniac six months later, and this is the best thing that has ever happened to my hair! To be more exact, I didn’t go there; instead, I vanished on Hairmaniac, where I spent days reading posts, becoming proficient in practically every area of the website, and virtually meeting a ton of authors.

The location had a Vieso vibe to it at the time. The writers who wrote about this cosmetics and the brand’s natural aesthetics really captured my attention. Many girls had either started growing their own color or were the proud owners of natural hair. For me, having natural hair and Vieso became a kind of symbol and a true dream.

I could not have been more thrilled to fill up on these exquisite jars, inhale the scents of Vieso, and appreciate the beauty of natural hair color. Even though they didn’t have a budget, I was still hoping to get Vieso.

I desired to join Vieso’s enchanted world of scenic beauty. To the point where I was lying to myself. I devotedly took pictures of jars, wrote posts about Vieso, and attempted to curl my hair (on super-straight hair, yeah). It was lovely, yes, but definitely not for me.

Regretfully, natural hair turned out to be of average quality. Not superior to dyed, nor inferior. I got so worked up that I wrote a post debunking common misconceptions about natural hair. Actually, it was all the result of overly optimistic expectations, as going back to being natural was advocated as the answer to every issue. My color is the same as everyone else’s, so it is most definitely not the cause of my unrealistic or forced expectations.

I really didn’t want to lighten my hair color for some reason. I had an unwavering attitude toward full-natural in my mind. While tone-on-tone coloring and a paltry 1.5% oxide could not possibly damage the hair, they did make the color vibrant, even, and vibrant. For example, popular lighter strands near the face could also greatly revive the natural light brown shade. But no, I was vehemently opposed to any meddling with "naturalness" for some reason.

Being is more important than appearing.

My hair is now chemically dyed, and I don’t use natural cosmetics on it. But now I feel more attuned, like I’m no longer forced to fit inside the parameters of a particular perception. I started to feel the need to try new brands of hair care products and take better care of my hair. I’m okay with the way I am, even though my head doesn’t seem "natural."

How I grew long hair

I confidently set a goal for myself as soon as I registered on the website: to grow my hair to be 80 centimeters past the growth line. October 2023 saw the accomplishment of the aim!

The Spring Marathon provided confidence in reaching the objective, allowing for the attainment of a 75-centimeter length with a 5-centimeter increase in just three months. This seems like an unrealistic growth rate to me because my hair has never grown more than 1.2–1.4 cm per month on average. Not even a summertime haircut could stop me from progressing toward the length of my aspirations.

My helpers were:

A healthy diet and regular exercise. Each and every growth stimulant is worthless without this point. I detest sports, have never lived a healthy lifestyle, and have always preferred reading to playing sports. However, I try to battle with myself, gradually acclimating to regular exercise and the standard diet of proteins and fats. Everyone needs to take care of their health. Hair growth is more effectively stimulated by adequate nutrition and healthy blood circulation than by masks and tinctures.

Tincture of peppermint. Of the other stimulants, I think this one is the easiest to use and most readily available. I tried tonics and specialty masks; the results were either completely lacking or had an effect like mint. I use a spray bottle to combine a 1:2 ratio of peppermint tincture and water, which I keep chilled. I wash my hair the next day and apply it along the partings in the evening. 2–3 months make up a full course.

Herbal remedies from Ayurveda. Herbs for hair that don’t color hair strengthen the roots and promote growth in baby hair. My go-to mask for 2023 that promotes growth and fortification is tulsi + shikakai + bhringraj + base oil. Sadly, the issues they caused with my scalp forced me to bid herbs farewell. Even the tiniest herb particles cause irritation and dandruff because they are difficult to fully wash away. Herbs do work, but when using them, it’s important to consider each person’s unique reaction.

Enhancing the quality of the ends and avoiding split ends are just as vital as quickening the growth of hair.

I discovered silicone leave-in products in 2023.

I fell back in love with silicones after conducting an experiment with silicone-free care (more on that below). I realized how crucial it is to select the proper leave-in products. There are still traces of the media’s campaign to demonize silicones used in hair care products. Despite being aware of the ingredients in products, I made an unconscious effort to choose care without silicones.

In everything, moderation is key. Overuse of silicones can seriously cause brittleness. Any ingredient could be toxic or therapeutic; the dose is what matters. Previously, I attempted to use the "sandwich" method (spray, cream, oil), but these days, I just use cream.

A good cream keeps ends and lengths of hair protected without making fine hair seem greasy.

My picks for leave-in moisturizers for delicate hair:

  • Kerastase Soleil Creme UV Sublime
  • L"Oreal Professionnel Curl Expression
  • Paul Rivera Wish Silk Effect Cream
  • Alfaparf Milano Nutritive Leave-In Conditioner
  • Kaaral Style Perfetto Dazzling cream
  • L"Oreal Professionnel Pro Longer.

Sometimes it helps to declutter your hair care products. Rather than using multiple phases of leave-in products, I simply used the cream, which resulted in more volume and friability without sacrificing the length of the hair. I suggest that you peruse Le fleurs de Liliss’s posts regarding a simple hair care regimen. There is, of course, a crucial distinction.

It is only appropriate to release your care if you own high-quality makeup. For instance, one cream is unlikely to stretch long hair, even with the weakest masks. It is crucial to keep things in proportion and modify the product set according to your hair’s requirements.

Naturally, there were errors made along the way of growing it. I’ll add this: I really leaped onto a rake! primarily because I attempted to apply other people’s hair care guidelines to my own.

Styling hair in various ways. It’s common advice to "take care" of your hairstyle’s length, particularly when wearing a braid. Sadly, wearing hairstyles makes my hair feel considerably worse. My hair begins to split and fray more at the ends due to my constant tugging at strands, braids, and buns. Braids caused the root zone to become tangled and rub against the pillow every night, which was bad for the root zone.

I try not to wear my hair in tight ponytails, braids, or curls because the straight structure detests kinks. I usually wear the length loose on the street to avoid outside damage. When I go to sleep, my hair ends up on top of my pillow.

Handle ampoule with caution. Alcohol is a component of most ampoule products (Kaaral Restructure, for example). It acts as a conductor of components into the hair, theoretically. Nevertheless, over time, alcohol caused more damage to my hair than ampoules did. A favorable impact on hair health was also demonstrated by the rejection of "going-out products" such as ampoules Lador or sachet Masil. They don’t offer anything other than the visual, but they severely dry out the length. Systematic hair care can lead to beauty.

Don’t use shampoo to wash your hair. I see advice all the time to wash your scalp only, saying that "the length and foam will be enough." Clearly, my length was insufficient. particularly when using gentle shampoos free of sulfates. Hair became unwashed, tangled in strands, and lackluster. Not only does sebum and care (even without silicones) build up, but so does household pollution, city grime, and so forth. The condition of the hair and ends was greatly improved by carefully washing the length with shampoo.

Every wash, or once a week, apply a mask. For a long time, I’ve tried to use conditioners and masks in moderation. If you come across advice regarding the frequency of mask use, make sure to find out how often and what kind of hair the author washes. A girl might, for instance, wash her hair once every five to seven days and apply a mask each time. I don’t like this method of washing every two days. Conversely, the author with natural hair dedicates one day off to deep care with a mask and uses only conditioners on a daily basis. Just concentrate on our hair!

My current plan is as follows: food (recovery) – two air-conditioned washings – moisturizing. This is the best choice for my type of hair.

There are no overarching recommendations. It’s advisable to follow all the advice while taking into account the particulars of your hair. Everything is distinct.

And cut them off

Unexpectedly, after realizing how long the dream was, I made the decision to chop my hair.

Although the 80 centimeter figure from earlier was very appealing and desirable, the situation was actually a little more complicated. For the first time, I began to irritate my hair. They gave off the impression that they were everywhere, appearing in dresses and pants belts, behind bags, on the backs of seats, and in lightning in sweaters. Less visually striking length adorned me than a little shorter hair. The overall view of the canvas was ruined by dark tips.

Before the haircut, the hair looked like this.

While I admire the outcomes of their hard work when I look at pictures of girls with gorgeous long hair that falls to their buttocks and below, I would prefer not to have the same in real life. So where does one get the urge to gain those precious centimeters? For once, I can honestly say that my childhood is the root of my problem.

I was shocked to learn that I wasn’t the only one who didn’t have the desire for extremely long hair! I never intended to have braids all the way down to my heels and become Rapunzel.

I had my hair chopped into a stylish bob to my waist before school. Even though the haircut looked great, being among girls who had braids all the way down to their hips made me uneasy. That’s when I developed a subliminal obsession with long hair.

I’ve matured since then. I can embrace and encourage that inner child of mine because, for all these years, she harbored a bitter wish to have long hair. You are beautiful and loved regardless of how much weight you are or how long your hair is; the tape measure does not define you.

A major step toward myself in the last year was getting a haircut. Not only did I cut my hair, but I also gave my hair maintenance some serious thought. No, no, I simply trimmed the length; I didn’t cut the bob. But by doing this, I was able to ignore my insane internal desire for endlessly long hair and instead pay attention to my honest assessment of the hairstyle.

I came to the realization that I would much rather have excellent canvas with good thickness and quality than hair to the heels. The strands have now grown to a length of 72 centimeters once more. I don’t intend to expand it further. My hair is waist length, which looks good on me, takes less maintenance, and is most importantly soothing to the soul!

My thin hair required extra care to stay strong and healthy after I eventually achieved the hair length I’ve always desired. I bid Vieso farewell and started a new journey with Project Pan 2024, experimenting with various products to determine the ideal regimen for care. I hope to help other people with thin hair find what really works by sharing my mistakes, lessons learned, and results from the past year in this article.

Why I gave up Vieso cosmetics

Lovely and cherished Vieso! The brand stands for a unique category of high-end makeup with an emphasis on organic ingredients. The primary ingredients in Vieso cosmetics are hyaluronic acid and natural oils and extracts. The lack of silicones in the brand’s products is a defining characteristic that appeals to KGM devotees.

Vieso aesthetics is a distinct kind of art. I first became familiar with Vieso thanks to the way its hair masks were designed. We were together for an entire year! I have purchased numerous full-size items and tried practically the whole line of the brand. And because of this, I find it even more difficult to part with these cosmetics.

For a very long time, I’ve wanted to develop a skincare regimen that exclusively uses products from the Dancoly concern brands, Vieso and Angel Provence. My hamster purchased a full line of products in the spring after falling in love with the philosophy of professional organic cosmetics and realizing there was no room for the inner toad. Regretfully, this incident turned into a prelude to bidding Vieso farewell.

Vieso and high humidity

When I used to choose cosmetics, I gave the environment no thought and it was all for nothing! Maybe if I had known how humidity affects hair, I would have initially ignored Vieso.

My home has a very humid climate. The average range of humidity is between 60% and 85%. The excessive humidity in Vieso was one of the reasons they left.

Every Vieso cosmetic has some level of hydration. Hyaluronic acid and prickly pear extract are included in the rich Argan series as well, with the goal of providing deep hair hydration. I mentioned my slight dissatisfaction with the honey line in my post about Vieso masks. Although the brand portrays it as nourishing, my hair actually receives 70/30 of nutrition and hydration from it.

I’ve attached the formulas for a number of Vieso products from various care categories so as not to be unfounded. It is nearly hard to locate a product that doesn’t include moisturizing ingredients:

Composition of Vieso products

Aqua (Water), Butyrospermum Parkii Oil, Vitis Vinifera Seed Oil, Ceteareth-10, Rosa Damascena Flower Oil, Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Fruit Oil, Cetrimonium Chloride, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil, Hydroxypropyl Guar, and Phenoxyethanol are the ingredients of the rose mask. Conditioner for ylang-ylang: Aqua (water), Citrus aurantium Dulcis (orange) peel oil, Vitis vinifera seed oil, Ceteareth-10, Cananga Odorata leaf oil, Peg-4 Sorbitan stearate, Glyceryl stearate, Hyaluronic Acid, Cetrimonium Chloride, Citrus aurantium Dulcis (orange) peel oil, Hydroxypropyl Guar, Phenoxyethanol.

Water, Vitis Vinieera Seed Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii Oil, Mel Extract, Hyaluronic Acid, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein, Rosa Damascena Flover Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil, and Phenoxyethanol are the ingredients of the honey cream.

Many, I believe, will exclaim, "This is fantastic! One of the key things that hair needs is moisture." They will also be accurate. However, over-moisturizing your hair can be detrimental in your quest for hair health and beauty. On the website, there’s a great post regarding this phenomenon.

In humid climates, it is easy to overmoisturize hair. Overwetness can result in unsightly and long-lasting problems with hair.

In environmental conditions, deeply moisturizing masks like Vieso are frequently "too much" for my hair.Because of Vieso, my hair would frequently resemble this:

The ends fall where they choose, and the length is soft, weak-willed, prone to frizz, and reasonably easy to style. If this is palatable for hair with pores, then low-porosity hair is in for a literal mess. Because practically every product in the brand contains moisturizing ingredients, it is not possible to switch out products within the brand.

When batteries run low, Vieso makeup works perfectly. But going outside in the daytime results in hair that is too humid and an unsatisfactory appearance.

Maybe the humidity is the key to Vieso’s instability. I used this makeup for only six out of ten applications, and I got a cool effect. In other words, the products might result in frizz, overdrying, dry ends, and an overall unsatisfactory appearance. I’m so over waiting on the Capricorn moon and crossing my fingers for a successful hair wash every time. Desire consistency in the look of your hair, dependability in the care you receive, and stability in the results.

Worst shampoos of 2025

Vieso has earned the title of worst shampoo of 2023! This is the exact situation where prolonged use aided in "biting through" the products. I used to get really excited when I used Vieso shampoos occasionally. Why are there these significant changes?

Let’s name one example right away that is not only ineffective but downright dangerous: Vieso Oil Control shampoo with lavender. Well, it wasn’t for nothing that I approached it cautiously when we first met. After extended use, the shampoo’s actual qualities became apparent.

The excellent washing performance was concealed cruelty.

The lavender shampoo was incredibly abrasive, even cruel, to the scalp. It gradually starts to severely dry out and irritate the scalp, using polyquaternium to mask its dirty deeds. While lavender did wash my hair, it also made me wash my hair less frequently, which is a pest. Additionally, the damaging effects on the scalp’s sensitive skin cause sensitivity and dandruff.

I gave my man the lavender shampoo in an effort to clear out a shelf in the bathroom and get rid of the bothersome jars. He is the intended "client" of this Vieso series because of his oily scalp. He complained of scalp rashes and dandruff after using lavender shampoo every day for two weeks. Conclusions are evident, as the saying goes.

I tried almost every Vieso shampoo available, with the exception of the cypress variety. Most of them are extremely expensive products. I had specific questions about Vieso with rose or ylang-ylang, if I could forgive the nourishing argan shampoo by default.

I used only Vieso shampoos to shampoo my hair every day or to put it in a ponytail or braid on the second day.

Let’s ignore the existence of the lavender pest and focus on Vieso’s reputation for producing delicate and soft shampoos. Thankfully, unlike with Barex, I have not encountered any specimens that are completely non-rinsing. All Vieso shampoos, though, have a tendency to accumulate over time. This was also mentioned by maxyn4ik when exchanging castings. My scalp becomes less and less fresh after three consecutive washes, so even alternation is ineffective for me.

I learned about L’Oreal shampoos in another hamster impulse. Coincidentally, after using L’Oreal exclusively for two weeks, I was shocked to find that my hair had held up well for two full days. You can effectively postpone washing your hair until the third day if you style your hair.

However, a lot of the softening agents, silicones, and SLES found in L’Oreal Professionalnel are generally not natural. But even with hard water, L’Oreal has a favorable impact on how often you wash, while Vieso has a negative one. I’m stating this as fact, not as a claim. I am no longer using Vieso shampoos in the same way.

Silicone-free care: success or failure

I made the decision to undertake a significant experiment in the departing year 2023: a complete switch to silicone-free care. Since February, in fact, I’ve had rinse-off products without silicone in my arsenal. But I didn’t actually get to experience my dream of receiving complete care from Vieso and Angel Provence until the spring.

I didn’t use silicones in my care at all for about three months. The Angel Provence cream with immortelle, the Vieso cream casting with honey, and the Vieso heat-protective spray with argan were added as leave-on products to the Vieso shampoos and masks. I will point out that, aside from switching to leave-on products without silicone, nothing has changed in terms of care.

Haircuts were given once every six months to once a year in the past few years. For a considerable amount of time, the cut did not need to be adjusted because it held up well between haircuts. The silicone-free experiment’s result literally astounded.

After three months without silicones, the ends’ quality has genuinely decreased. I was using a lot of hairspray to condition my hair because it was becoming more difficult to comb. For the first time in a very long time, I noticed split ends.

The changes were gradual, of course. I didn’t initially see any degradation. The items encouraged more "natural" care and had a pleasant texture and organic scents. However, they were hardly useful at all. This stone will likely fly not only in the Dancoly concern’s garden but also in silicone-free leave-in products as a whole.

Angel Provence cream and Vieso cream failed to fulfill the protective roles of leave-in products. Indeed, they soften the ends a little and moisturize the skin. That’s it. There is no conditioning or combing relief at all, no shielding of the hair from harmful elements, and no discernible effect along the length of the hair. The honey-flavored Vieso cream is just insatiably popular.

Regarding rational consumption, by the way. It was discovered that silicone-free hair creams were not stand-alone items and needed to be combined with other items such as heat protection, oil, serum, and spray to make combing easier. I had to buy three jars instead of just one. The toad is resentful, while the hamster is happy.

I get enough moisture from high-quality rinse-off products like masks and conditioners. If a leave-in only hydrates the ends, I won’t keep it on my shelf.

I’m sorry for the picture; I snapped it for myself. Three months without silicone leave-in products is evident in the photo, which clearly shows the wear on the ends. Other actions and methods of care remained unchanged.

The experiment ended with an enforced haircut. My hair has now been damaged by chemical dye, but silicone leave-in products help preserve the cut. Rinse-off products can be devoid of silicone, but leave-in products for my hair cannot.

Putting together a new care regimen

Giving up Vieso sparked the creation of a new care plan, which led to the next adventure. And this makes sense—letting go of a cosmetics collection that was nearly exclusively comprised of one brand naturally leads to the challenge of selecting replacements.

Nonetheless, Vieso is an excellent and functional cosmetic. Our disagreement stems more from subjective and climatic factors than from legitimate concerns about the caliber of the goods. It will be difficult for other brands to overtake me after Vieso because the bar is so high. Furthermore, some positions are just immovable, not even by the whims of the weather.

Freeing up space. Project Pan

I’m in favor of a logical approach to hair maintenance. By some miracle, I was able to avoid having a lot of jars that I detested cluttering my space and from experiencing severe symptoms of beginner’s hunger. However, the reason behind Project Pan’s rising popularity on Hairmaniac is that product inventory and organization are essential!

I made the decision to clean out the shelves and make room for fresh jars in the new year. With the exception of herbs and unpackaged new products, only 17 units of products total were found, so nothing extremely concerning. After the picture, the same lavender-scented shampoo instantly goes in the trash.

Even with the small stock, I think I still made a few hamster errors.

Purchasing in bulk. It goes without saying that 500 ml masks yield significantly higher profits than 250 ml containers. I purchased a lot of goods using this toad logic, which delighted the hamster since the more makeup, the better! I currently have a large number of 0.5–1 liter jars that are nearly hard to finish in one sitting.

Items in the same category. I honestly gave up trying to avoid purchasing goods with a comparable effect. As a result, multiple nourishing masks that would need to be used up by 2024 suddenly appeared on the shelf. However, conditioners were a total bust; I didn’t give this category much thought, so I was unable to identify a favorite.

Purchasing only high-quality makeup. This may sound silly, but there is a serious issue! I can easily discard faulty products, but what if every one of your jars functions and cools in its own unique way? Even though we are getting pretty tired of each other, I just can’t bring myself to part with the same liter of Numero. The inappropriate Vieso, which will serve as the final touch in the New Year, is equally magnificent.

The bathroom shelves are stocked in this way: big books, haphazard preferences, and "it would be a waste to throw it away" are all folded into tiny spaces. I made a list of everything I had and figured out how many jars I needed to finish before I bought new makeup.

Vieso cosmetics: conditioner, honey and rose-infused masks Ylang-ylang.

I worked hard in the fall on Vieso, finishing a few projects in time for the New Year. However, mask consumption is extremely cautious! I have been buying honey and roses since January, but even with a year of continuous use, I was unable to finish them—there are still about 100 milliliters left in each. I use the conditioner on a day that I fast, and the serum lasts for a full year.

Kaaral cosmetics: filler masks, Maraes Liss, and Hydra conditioner and mask.

Throughout the house, Kaaral Hydra conditioner is incredibly helpful: use it as a pre-wash, on a day for light care, blend it with toner, or cover a medium mask. In other words, it’s a lifesaver. Yet, it’s still a very poor standalone product, so I don’t currently have any plans to make it again. Filler and Liss are already fairly boring and deplete slowly. May I finally say goodbye to them with luck?

My favorite oat-based mask is Numero.

Oatmeal Numero is my best friend! It was the first item I took care of, and it stayed for over a year. The mask’s properties haven’t altered even though the expiration dates have passed. It smoothes the length of hair and detangles it perfectly. I will gladly finish the jar and try more Numero masks since there are enough left over for multiple uses.

Shampoos Estel and LÓreal Vitamino Color; masks Kaaral Ultra and LÓreal Curl Expression; conditioner LÓreal Vitamino Color; and honey serum Vieso.

These goods will remain on my shelf because they have shown themselves to be reliable. Yes, L’Oreal, this is about you, but I’m still considering a few of them, and I don’t intend to part with them in the near future. When the jar is empty, maybe it will be worthwhile to buy the same burgundy mask again. Hydra: nearly finished. once more on trial.

My new products and shopping plan

Even though I take a sensible approach to buying makeup, I disagree with complete minimalism. This seems like just another extreme case of shopaholism to me—you focus on a select few jars and are always looking for a way to take a step away from their care. Any kind of hyperfixation is completely unhelpful.

Let there be three different masks if my hair requires that many. However, one leave-in is required: cream. Not only can I readily add a product or part with it, but I won’t be skimped on the care instructions. Leave-in, masks, conditioners, and shampoos should all be unbreakable.

I started to gradually create an updated care by the New Year. All of a sudden, shampoos were the center of attention. Thanks to the amazing Mare and our casting exchange, I discovered LÓreal Professionnel shampoos and instantly became enamored with them. I obtained a full-size Scalp Advanced, a miniature Absolut Repair, and Volumetry in this manner.

I haven’t yet discovered the ideal one; some are too soft, others too cleansing. However, I’m not giving up and intend to test other L’Oreal shampoos, especially the full-size Pro Longer, over an extended period of time.

Not all situations lend themselves well to L’Oreal Professionnel shampoos. For example, in the soft water at my parent’s house, they look overly rich and heavy for fine hair. If my apartment had had clean water, the impact that L’Oreal shampoos had would not have been possible.

I’ve spent a full year searching for the ideal conditioner; Vieso and Kaaral, to be honest, did not do a good job of detangling and instead made my hair frizzed out. A closed air conditioner found its way into the online baskets of L’Oreal Pro Longer and Matrix Food for soft, as well as the new products Inforcer. Though I haven’t decided on Insight products yet, I’ve been slyly glancing at them.

A new addition to the leave-in products is a cream called L’Oreal Professionnel Curl Expression, which was purchased based on the recommendation of SMarina’s post and the burgundy mask. I want to use up the leave-in products in castings, so I haven’t opened them yet. I’m really excited about the cream and will write a post regardless of what happens.

My favorite category is masks! And the most elaborate in terms of the final details. I’ll have to exercise self-control and wait until spring to make any purchases. Naturally, I’ve previously created a "wish map" that includes L’Oreal Pro Longer and Absolut Repair, Brelil Numero with priceless oils, Lakme Organic Balance, and Matrix. A curl has dreams. Inspiration to complete the existing stocks!

My journey to getting my hair the length I wanted was not without its successes and setbacks. I discovered a lot about what my thin hair required and didn’t along the way. Although Vieso was a great product for me initially, I soon discovered that it wasn’t the best for my particular hair type. As a result, I tried some other products that were really beneficial.

I took up the Project Pan challenge this year and resolved to finish my current products before purchasing any new ones. Through this process, I was able to identify the real stars in my hair care regimen and learned important lessons about what my hair actually needs to flourish. I eventually discovered a line of products through trial and error that, in spite of my thin texture, keeps my hair strong, glossy, and healthy.

In retrospect, I realize that my failures held equal significance to my accomplishments. They helped me learn to pay attention to my hair and to be more selective about the products I use. Knowing that the correct products can make a huge difference, I’m eager to keep exploring for the best hair care for myself.
