Four legendary leave-in products. Experience of use, analysis of flights and compositions. Is Kerastase so good? Is Lanza so bad? And why I don’t want Macadamia anymore? Moroccanoil and doubts

The selection of leave-in products can be quite overwhelming. Do these convenient formulas live up to the promises they make, from frizz control to silky smoothness? We’ll explore the worlds of four renowned leave-in products in this article: Moroccanoil, Macadamia, Lanza, and Kerastase. We’ll examine the unique features of these products, weigh their advantages and disadvantages, and offer firsthand accounts to assist you in making a wise choice.

In the world of haircare, Kerastase has long been praised. Reputably luxurious and efficacious, it’s frequently praised as the best option for individuals seeking to take care of their hair. Is the hype really justified, though? In order to determine whether Kerastase is a product that lives up to its hype or is just a pretty name, we’ll analyze the performance and ingredients.

Conversely, Lanza has proven to be a more divisive choice. While some are enthralled with its inventive formulas, others are not as much. We’ll look more closely at the reasons behind the differing views and determine whether Lanza should be kept on the shelf or included in your haircare regimen.

Although macadamia leave-in products were once highly favored, many consumers are now questioning their allegiance. We’ll look at the causes of this change in attitude and the reasons why, despite Macadamia’s once-impressive reputation, some users are turning away from it.

Last but not least, Moroccanoil, which promises a combination of hydration and shine, has become a staple for many hair enthusiasts. Still, not everyone is convinced. We’ll look into the questions raised by Moroccanoil and determine whether it still qualifies as a leave-in.

Stay tuned as we analyze the ingredients and functionality of each product to discover which one could become your new favorite. In this haircare competition, there is something for everyone, regardless of your level of interest or fandom.

Product Experience & Thoughts
Kerastase Highly praised for its luxurious feel and results, but some might find it overpriced for the performance it delivers.
Lanza Often criticized for not living up to the expectations, with mixed results on different hair types. Not the best value for the price.
Macadamia Started strong with nourishing qualities, but over time, the effect seems to fade. No longer my go-to product.
Moroccanoil Still a favorite, but recent doubts have surfaced about its long-term benefits, leaving room for hesitation.

Lanza Healing Strength Neem Plant Silk Serum – Healing serum

(let"s be honest)L"anza

Origin nation: United States Volumes available: 100 milliliters Costs: 1600 and up

It was once a sophisticated sea wave-colored plastic bottle with a matching rotary dispenser. It is now a silver rotary dispenser and a cylindrical bottle in the same color.

Apply to damp hair before blow-drying and reduce drying time, protect hair from thermal heating.

Apply to dry hair as a finishing touch, as well as daily care for long, weak, coarse, frizzy, brittle hair.

Out of all the leave-in products listed in this post, the serum has the lightest and most weightless consistency: gel-silicone and completely transparent, yet it has a faint yellow tint to it. It smells amazing, like vanilla biscuit and white chocolate, which appeals to my palate. Components:

Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Caprylyl Methicone, Phenyltrimethicone, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Wood Extract, Phellodendron Amurense Bark Extract, Hordeum Distichon (Barley) Extract, Perfluorononyl Dimethicone, Melia Azadirachta (Neem Bark) Extract, Keratin Amino Acids, Dimethiconol Cysteine, Ceramide 2 , Sodium Hyaluronate, Algae Extract, Dimethicone PEG-8 Meadowfoamate, Sodium PCA, Magnesium PCA, Zinc PCA, Manganese PCA, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Extract, Fumaria Officinalis (Fumitory) Extract, Ascorbyl Methylsilanol Pectinate, Fumeric Acid, Tetrahexydecyl Ascorbate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate Trimethylsiloxyamodimethicone, Water (Aqua/Eau), PPG-4-Ceteth-40, Propylene Glycol, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Benzotriazolyl Dodecyl-P-Cresol, Fragrance (Parfum), Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Lilial), Citronellol, Coumarin , Geraniol, Limonene, Linalool

A very dense and rich mixture that includes seven silicones, seaweed, Amur cork tree bark, white sandalwood, and neem extract—all of which are effective moisturizers and can help repair and revitalize hair. Hyaluronic acid and keratin are also ingredients that give hair shine and have a smoothing and leveling effect.

and sincerely did not understand those girls who wrote negative reviews about the serum.Lanza

My happiness abruptly ended, though, when I switched to a different type of care that worked for me as well but had a different chemical makeup and mode of action. My favorite leave-in product did not work well for this light care; my hair started to electrify and the sticking out hair stopped smoothing out. Which serums I used and which ones I skipped. And that’s when I thought of all the bad reviews left by girls whose hair behaved in precisely the same way. In order to smooth out the embarrassing situation on my head, I had to switch out the leave-in product immediately for a thicker, heavier one.

Since I switched back to my previous regimen after running out of this leave-in product, my hair has grown noticeably. So I intend to make the same purchase next year.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Versatile Beautifying Oil – Multifunctional oil for all hair types

Contradiction on contradiction drives contradiction KerastaseL"anza

Origin country: France or Spain Volumes available: 100 ml; costs: 2100+r

From the perspective of visual perception, the bottle’s design is excellent: it’s a pricey orange-gold glass bottle that is packed in a gold box, has smooth lines throughout, and appears quite careless—all because it’s made of glass.

When I first opened the elixir bottle, my first thought was, "You can kill for Kerastasis! One can eradicate kerastasis!" The bottle weighed a lot. As Lanza’s experience demonstrated, carrying a purse around is not particularly practical. Unfortunately, my unit does not linger on the toilet table. A small girl, who enjoys sniffing the contents of my cans, rushes to the house.

The bottle has a revolving, consistently functioning dispenser that sometimes releases a little more than I need. As a result, I gradually started to use a slow half-collapse, which has made the product slightly more economical.

The message for the producer:

Multipurpose treatment for every kind of hair. Maximum defense, rich nourishment, and flawless sheen. Benefits Combination of four priceless oils to enhance the beauty of your hair. The key to having gorgeous hair is revealed. With just a few drops of Elixir Ultime oil, your hair becomes remarkably light and silky. Applying it before styling gives hair protection and smoothness. Applying the product as a last-minute styling step adds shine to the hair. This will become an essential component of your regular hair care regimen.

The elixir has an oily-silicone consistency. The leave-in appears transparent and colorless at first glance, and I believe this to be the case: It has a strong, complex, oriental scent. Façon has a sweet smell to it; it is not flowery. The sweetness vanishes and is replaced with the east and spices when I place a drop of the leave-in product on my palm. And after application, freshness appears out of nowhere on the hair. For a brief period, the scent clings to the hair. But the product leaves a lasting impression on the hands.

Make-up:

Dimethiconol, cyclopentasiloxane, zea mays/corn germ oil, argania spinosa oil/argania spinosa kernel oil, camellia kissi/camellia kissi seed oil, pentaclethra macroloba oil/pentaclethra macroloba seed oil, linalool, alpha-isomethylionone, limonone, coumarin, benzyl alcohol, parfum etc.

Two silicones, volatile and protective, are included in the composition. These silicones are intended to shield hair from outside factors while simultaneously preventing color fading and smoothing hair. They also contain numerous fragrances, including argan, camellia, pracaxi, and corn oils, which accounts for the aroma’s adaptability. The act of composition as such. And for some reason, this brand raises the question, "For what so much money?" to me and many other people on the Internet. Maybe it has to do with a particular, one-of-a-kind concentration of substances multiplied by premium raw materials.

Kerastase

Selecting the correct leave-in hair product can have a significant impact on your hair. This article examines four renowned leave-in products, namely Moroccanoil, Macadamia, Lanza, and Kerastase, providing an in-depth analysis of their performance, ingredients, and efficacy. We’ll look at why Lanza might not work out, why Macadamia has lost its allure, why Kerastase is frequently praised as a top option, and the conflicting opinions surrounding Moroccanoil. We’ll assist you in selecting the leave-in product that may be best for you by dissecting individual experiences and product analyses.

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment — Macadamia Restorative Care

However, this oil was my first and most enduring desire, but it cost more in a 100 ml format than Lanza and Kerastase. It was an expensive luxury for me. If I had not received a miniature of this oil in a package along with a summer prize, I would have kept having dreams about it.

Origin nation: United States Volumes available: 10 ml, 30 ml, 125 ml, and 300 ml Costs: 600–8000 rubles. A heat-sealed sticker covers the entire surface of a dark glass bottle that serves as the packaging. Only the 125 ml and 300 ml formats come with a dispenser; smaller volumes can get by with just an empty neck.

From the producer:

Macadamia Restorative Care – a care product made from argan oil and macadamia oil that strengthens damaged and dry hair of any type. After using such a product, the hair is smoothed and becomes strong and elastic, because the restorative oil product deeply nourishes it from the inside. The components of this miraculous care facilitate the combing procedure and make hair manageable in styling.

The product restores dyed hair well, enhancing its color and returning its shine. Oils in the composition of restorative care reliably protect your hair from ultraviolet solar radiation. The product, instantly absorbed, does not weigh down the hair structure, and after its use, the hair does not look greasy.

The macadamia brainchild appeared to me to be the thickest in terms of consistency; it protruded from the bottle in a long, hard crawl. Such thick oils ought to do a good job of smoothing the hair. The oil is transparent and has a honey color. The aroma is divine; it reminds me of the lily of the valley and jasmine’s tenderness in the arms of oriental spices. For a brief period of time, the veil on your hair appears lighter than it does inside the bottle. Lena Selena is to be thanked for the picture on the left.

Make-up:

Dimethicone, cyclopentasiloxane, Argania spinosa kernel oil, Macadamia ternifolia seed oil, HANE, TOCOPHELYL ACETATE, ISOPROPYL MyRistate, parfum/fragrance, benzyl salicylate, coumarin, butylphenyl methylpropional, linalool cinnamon, Cl 61565, CL 26100, CL 60725, CL 47000, CL, CL, CL, CL, CL, CL, CL, CL, CL, CL, CL 31675.

Contains two types of silicones: the so-called protective volatile type, vitamin E, oils (macadamia and argan), UV protection (the components that follow the macadamia oil), perfume, and stabilizers, preservatives, fragrances, and dyes for emulsions. This leave-in product appears to have a decent formula that protects hair from UV rays and mechanical damage while also smoothing, nourishing, restoring, and adding shine. However, it’s not that easy… This let-in care didn’t sit well with me.

  • My sequence of actions:
  • What result did I get:

There are two kinds of unweighted hair that I have:

  1. when the strands themselves are light and mobile along the entire length, creating a beautiful volume along the length,
  2. and when the sticking out strands along the entire length of the hair stick out and don"t want to be smoothed out

Moroccanoil Treatment for all hair types – Restorative oil for all hair types Moroccanoil

But this oil wasn’t at all what I wanted. I felt this oil was destined for indifference from the start because the prices for this brand’s goods were outrageous. However, time went on, reviews surfaced, and stores selling this oil could be reached on foot. In the best traditions of the genre, shopping is the solution to a bad mood and extra money. That’s how I came upon the mini-format Moroccanoil.

Origin nation: Israel Volumes available: 10 ml, 25 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml, and 200 ml Costs: 400–6000 R

Absurdly simple packaging is a mark of a respectable business. Dark glass bottle a la balm "Bittner" (90s greetings) with the name raised in capital letters on the side; the dispenser, as far as I’m aware, is only offered in sets for large quantities; owners of smaller formats must extract the product directly from the bottle neck: What the producer warrants:

Moroccanoil oil is a special product because it contains argan oil, which the hair absorbs right away and gives all types of hair a brilliant shine and flawless silkiness. This product, which is specifically made to repair and condition hair, strengthens hair, facilitates combing, and makes hair more manageable, all of which cut down on the amount of time needed for drying and styling. Hair is instantly restored, healed, and refreshed with a small amount of Moroccanoil. Hair looks much healthier and shinier after the first use. When hair is used consistently, its condition gets better, it quits splitting, and it gets less brittle and fragile.

The oil’s consistency is thick, but not thicker than macadamia natural oil, in my opinion. Rich, vivid, and yellow in color. This hue makes me think of thick, crude oil. Interesting aroma: upon taking a whiff from the bottle, I find myself thinking of the sweetness of flowers and, strangely, halva or some other oriental dessert. However, the scent changes as soon as the leave-in product touches your hands and hair; subtle hints of a fine men’s perfume become noticeable.

Make-up:

Benzyl benzoate, butylphenyl methylpropional, cyclomethicone, dimethicone, argania spinosa kernel oil (argan oil), fragrance (parfum), linum usitatissimum (linseed) seed extract, alpha-isomethyl ionone, ci 26100 (d&c red no.17), ci 47000 d&c yellow no.

There are two silicones in the composition: one is volatile, and the other is only slightly soluble in water, perfume, argan oil, and other ingredients that are present in such small amounts that they are limited to serving as consistency stabilizers and preservatives. There are also a few coloring agents in the mixture.

Kerastaseand I don"t see such waves in my everyday life, like my own ears

Using this oil as a heat protectant prior to blow-drying wasn’t something I enjoyed doing. The reason why my hair doesn’t shine enough could be due to a few factors, such as my overindulgence in glossy magazines, my inability to find the right dosage, or the fact that the leave-in product is still causing the problem. In an instant:

And without it: However, I have to give credit to Moroccanoil for its ability to smooth out jutting hair. But none of the four could smooth the hairs that protrude from the top of my head like antennae. Strong desiccation and end creaking were noted.

Although I didn’t see the WOW effect that I had felt from Lanza and Kerastase, this oil isn’t bad, but I won’t buy it again. Additionally, the cost is more than that of the elixir and serum, despite the fact that getting to know them was enjoyable and essential to the overall effect.

Here are some numbers:

Second poll: Would you repurchase Moroccanoil oil if you had tried it?\How did this leave-in work for you if you used it? Would you repurchase it?

Opinions differ here as well: Instagram influencers are fans of Moroccanoil, but group members who frequent the hair salon are less so: 38.5% versus 67%

Buying this or that product is entirely up to you. Had my memory failed me or I hadn’t tried all four of these renowned products, I would have ordered mini-formats and decants of each. Fortunately, these days, everything is readily available, reasonably priced, and long-lasting. Despite the main statistics’ results, which nearly match my current viewpoint, I would order all four:

It’s evident that not all leave-in products are created equally. Selecting the best brand can be a bit of a gamble because each one has distinct advantages and disadvantages. For example, Kerastase is known for its effectiveness and luxury. It’s expensive, but users frequently gush about its superior ingredients and apparent effects. Kerastase may be something to think about if you’re willing to make an investment in your hair, but always keep your hair type and specific needs in mind.

However, Lanza’s leave-in products may not always live up to the expectations. Certain users discover that although Lanza makes lofty claims, the real outcomes aren’t always as certain. This might be the result of formulation variations or the products’ inability to satisfy each customer’s unique hair needs. If you’re curious, it’s a good idea to test samples or smaller sizes before committing to a full-sized product.

Many people used to love macadamia, but formulations and tastes evolve with time. Numerous consumers have complained that their old favorites from Macadamia products aren’t quite as good as the more recent iterations. It could be worthwhile to look into alternative options if you used to adore macadamia but aren’t as fond of them any longer in order to find something that works better for your hair type.

Many people have found Moroccanoil to be a reliable option, but even this well-known brand isn’t without controversy. Certain users doubt Moroccanoil’s ability to address their particular hair issues, or they believe the product isn’t worth the cost. It’s wise to weigh the advantages and disadvantages according to your personal preferences and hair type.

Ultimately, it’s often a matter of trial and error when selecting the ideal leave-in product. Since every person’s hair type is unique, what works great for one may not work as well for another. Try a variety of brands and formulations without fear until you find the one that works best for you. You just need to do a little exploring to find the ideal leave-in product!
