“The Tkachevs Are Connected” is a series about a family separated by hundreds and even thousands of kilometers, but whose members maintain close ties. What do you think is the main thing that keeps their relationship going? What helps them remain truly close, not just in words?

What keeps their relationship going? It's automatic. It's based on following generally accepted norms — “respect and love your parents, help them.” I wouldn't say they have a close relationship, but rather an unhealthy one. Love is not manifested in dealing with other people's problems, but in attention, caring for each other, and sincerity. Yes, they are always in touch, but there is no close contact between them. Perhaps this series will help people feel the difference between contact and closeness.

Your heroine Natasha is very involved in the problems of her relatives: both her parents and her sister. Don't you think this is a situation where she is trying too hard to control everything? Isn't it time to give other people the opportunity to do their own thing?

Absolutely right, she tries too hard to control everything, and it's time to let other people do their own thing.

By the way, speaking of you yourself. In your relationships with loved ones, do you also strive to take charge, try to help everyone, and solve everything?

No, I don't like to take on too much; I strive to help only myself. Sometimes even that doesn't work out. So I'm in no hurry to do good for other people.

In the series, Natasha meets Mikhail, a man much older than her. What do you think she is looking for in this relationship? Why did she choose him?

Why not? Mikhail has a wonderful sense of humor that they both understand. That means a lot. He is wealthy, intelligent, and busy with his favorite work, rather than searching for himself, which requires a lot of involvement and support from his partner.

Like the heroine, you also left your hometown for Moscow many years ago to enroll in the Moscow Art Theater School. What were your impressions of the capital during your first months here? How quickly did you feel at home?

Moscow was not a completely unfamiliar city to me—I always loved it and wanted to leave my small town. But a theater university is a special place; when you enroll there, you don't have time for the city itself. Of course, you can choose to focus on the city, but then you'll be expelled after the first year. I was immersed in my studies, surrounded by people who shared the same values, looking at my teacher with admiration and a pounding heart, I was in love. It was an amazing, wonderful time.

Did you have any doubts about the path you chose?

The best-selling brushes named after the creator's friends and inspirations, namely Gigi, Key, Diva, Lila, Extra, Trixy, Amber, Darcy, Polly, and Angel.

By the way, when you started actively acting, what did your parents say about your work? Has there ever been a moment when they watched a movie or TV series with you and said, “Well, daughter, we are proud of you!”?

I haven't heard that. And I can't say that about myself. Are you comparing cinema and theater? These are different kinds of pleasures and addictions, I can't compare them. You wouldn't compare black and salt. This is some kind of eternal question, I suggest everyone calm down about it and just let two different art forms exist separately.

By the way, almost all of your social media posts end with cat memes. How did this idea come about? Why did you suddenly decide to “use” cats?

I love cats and collect memes featuring them. I consider this activity to be socially useful. Sometimes I receive messages from subscribers saying that they specifically visit my account to cheer themselves up. I hope this counts as charity.
