She noted with sadness that the modern world is changing people, especially women. In her opinion, they used to have more warmth, openness, and capacity for love. Now, according to Sigalova, rationality, independence, and firmness are increasingly valued.

- How did the idea for the play “8 Angry Women” come about and what does the play mean to you?

How did the idea for the play “8 Angry Women” come about and what does the play mean to you?
I wanted to bring together the wonderful actresses of the Moscow Art Theater in one play. I chose Tom's play because it is a detective story that attracts attention. I don't know what ideas the author had in mind — I am creating a play about the relationship between the male and female worlds.

I categorically dislike it, and my play has nothing to do with it. We are staging a play based on the play, not the film. In my opinion, it is primitive; I don't know what could be appealing about it.

There is indeed a lot of music in the performance, specifically the kind that I associate with this story. However, I will not name the composers; let the audience come to the theater and hear it for themselves.

Well, I really did take a year off… I did have some performances, but it wasn't as busy a period as usual.

No, that doesn't happen to me.
How do you recharge your batteries?
For me, relaxation means sitting by the sea. Probably like everyone else. The sea is the most joyful place, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to get there yet.

I know you've been working on a book about your favorite cities. When will it be available to read, and which cities inspire you?
Well, cities are not charging devices, after all. Cities are connected with the people you love, or with important meetings and events that took place there. For me, the two main cities are Moscow and St. Petersburg. The book will be published, but it is still in progress, as it requires slow work.
You have been teaching for a long time. What do you get from communicating with students?
I am developing and growing. I am learning about my profession, today's context, and new generations. This is a very important and valuable part of my life.
You once said that a beautiful woman is one who has energy and charm, and that there are few such women now. Why do you think there are so few?
I think that our inner reservoir is filled first and foremost by nature and the Almighty from birth. How we use it and what we fill it with throughout our lives depends on the individual. I remember the years when women were warmer and more loving in every sense — towards life, nature, and children. And it seems to me that the lack of love as such a great, beautiful, sublime feeling is very noticeable now.

Absolutely right! Why should we torture our own feet? If we want to wear slippers, we'll wear slippers, and no one can tell us what to do!
But in Russia, there is no such trend yet…
I don't think there is such a trend anywhere. Everyone lives their own life; one or two actresses are not indicative of anything. Every woman wants to be beautiful. But in general, I can't stand the word “beautiful” because it's not a universal concept. Each person chooses what beauty means to them, especially when it comes to women. For some, beauty is curls, and for others, it's the absence of hair. I think it's absolutely wrong to lump everyone into one category. All people are different, everyone has different desires, everyone invents themselves. I treat each person as an individual and respect that individuality.
In one of her conversations, Alla Sigalova sadly recalls how women used to be more sincere, open with their feelings, and valued closeness and attention more. She notes that in the past, women knew how to love more deeply and care genuinely, without hiding behind busyness or independence. According to her, today, despite freedom and success, people sometimes lack the warm humanity that she valued in previous generations.

I am amazed by the artistic level and high quality of this brand's products! Like my character Blanche, I choose large jewelry with big stones and references to historical imperial motifs.
