Drips – pros and cons

Hairstyles are always changing, and "drips" is one that has been more popular lately. This striking hairdo creates an impression with its artistic appearance by creating a unique design that resembles paint dripping.

Like any hairstyle, drips have advantages and disadvantages. Some people may find it difficult to maintain or unsuitable for daily wear, but others may adore the creative freedom it affords.

Determining whether this striking style is appropriate for you can be aided by knowing the benefits and drawbacks of drips.

Pros of Drips Cons of Drips
Adds volume and texture to hair Can cause damage if overused
Creates a trendy, stylish look Requires regular maintenance
Works well for various hair types May not suit all face shapes
Offers versatility in styling Can be time-consuming to apply

And what are "drips" anyway?

Drips: this is the process of transferring product from a single, large-volume package to several owners in tiny jars. A smaller volume comes at a far more reasonable price. To assess the effect on the hair and determine whether a full-size version is required, a small volume will suffice.

Not everyone has the financial means to purchase pricey care in full size. However, you can locate like-minded individuals in your city and split a sizable volume among two or three of them. Alternatively, order care in full sizes for multiple people and pay a large amount all at once to benefit from free delivery, numerous bonuses, and discounts. Collaborative purchases offer a chance to purchase the desired item at a slightly higher profit margin.

Naturally, I apologize in advance if I make a mistake in the subtleties of the process’s organization. When I tried to register on the Aromazon website on my own, all of my naive ardor and enthusiasm faded (online translators are so convenient, what technology has come to!). I decided that IndiBird would be a good fit for me as well after being appalled by the minimum purchase requirement, which at the time seemed to be twelve thousand. Joint purchases may also be beneficial.

This summer, I had to drastically alter my care due to coloring. To avoid making a bad decision, I purchased multiple shampoos, masks, and castings from brands that caught my attention. These are my quick thoughts. Only about a third of the products were just not to my taste, and those I wanted to re-use. That these were castings is a good thing!

Pros and cons of products in castings

Samples and miniatures

A mini-format is probably the best way to familiarize yourself with a new product. Sadly, a lot of businesses just don’t make samples or travel-sized miniatures. Purchasing them is also a major issue, even if the product is released in a smaller format. If they were selling it, I’d buy it. Professional products are simply not sold in small towns like mine; your only option is to shop online. However, samples are hard to come by online, so I would appreciate it if you could send me links in private messages.

Typically, the sample contains only 10-15 ml of product, which is sufficient for a single use. Furthermore, it is challenging to assess the impact on the hair after just one use. You can assess the uniformity and scent. However, a lot of products have a cumulative effect that is difficult to grasp at first. Additionally, it is common for products to deteriorate with time. Although I initially enjoyed how the shampoo smoothed the hair, it eventually builds up and makes the hair oily. Or the damaged hair started to break and the mask proved to be a bust.

Another plus for the casting in this case, in my opinion. You can form an impression and assess the effect of the product during this time; 50–100 ml is sufficient for approximately one month of use.

Cost

Naturally, the cost of a smaller quantity of the product will be less than the cost of the entire product, as I have already indicated. Additionally, you can purchase and test a number of different products in castings for the same amount of money. The toad does not croak much, and the hamster is pleased with the variety.

I purchased three Lanza conditioners to test, but I only found one that I liked. They all cost me about eight hundred rubles. Even a 250 ml full size would set me back more than $5,000.

I agree that it’s best to give it a try in small doses and determine whether or not it works for you. And only then, with confidence, purchase the full size—you’ll need it.

Alternatively, you could spend less money on multiple full-size jars in a different price range. However, this is not what you’ll want!

Is it really that profitable, though?

Greater profits can be made from larger quantities than from smaller ones, and even greater profits from miniatures. Moreover, there are occasions when you can purchase them at steep discounts. Additionally, the cost of castings will appear excessive if we attempt to calculate the price per milliliter. Additional expenses for packing, shipping, and organizing—nothing shocking.

It is important to note the minimum redemption quantity. It is possible to purchase a single casting, but the cost of shipping will surpass the cost of the product.

Difficulties with buying

There aren’t any! Finding castings on sale and placing an order won’t be a problem, at least not any more difficult than doing so from an official store, thanks to the Internet.

You will, however, have to wait a lot longer to receive your package containing castings. An order is formed after a collective application has been formed. You must exercise patience as the products arrive, are poured into tiny packaging, and are delivered to customers.

Some offline retailers reportedly sell goods in large quantities, or your hairdresser may be able to help you with a small purchase. This is not what I’ve seen in my city.

Expiration dates

Every product has a time limit on it. There is also a date on which the package must be opened. The instant the jar is opened for the first time, the countdown starts. New factory packaging comes with a variety of opening controls, including extra lids and mica placed on top of the cardboard packaging or film.

The product starts to degrade after these times. One can only hope for the integrity and morality of the castings seller; everything else is dependent on trust, regardless of whether the product’s expiration, opening, and storage dates are met. Good service will draw customers back time and time again, so it is advantageous for the castings seller to keep an eye on quality, keep their packaging tidy, and manage all deadlines. Before making a purchase, it is worthwhile to read the reviews in any case.

The subject matter is grave, and the inquiry is contentious. Hair cosmetics are not, in my opinion, food or medication. Additionally, the tool is safe to use and won’t damage hair if there aren’t any visible signs of damage.

This subtlety has become crucial for a lot of people, and as a result, casting purchases are not desired. Before you, I want to make sure that nobody climbed into the jar.

Buying used funds

The survey’s comments indicate that people like this method of saving money. You can purchase a jar made from your own hands that didn’t fit someone, or you can attach an incomparable remedy. Personally, I did not find any benefits to this method. I tried looking at the "flea markets," but nobody in my small city is interested in this. Nobody ships an intriguing used jar from another city because it is too costly and frozen. In the big city, it’s simpler to just hand it to someone and move on.

A noteworthy drawback of underutilized products is the possibility that they were improperly stored prior to sale, and the duration of this storage is unknown. I suspect that the only people who are so concerned about the safety of their products—and, ultimately, their hair—are hair maniacs. Many simply stick their wet fingers into the jar and store it wherever it’s most convenient, never even considering the expiration date. Selling the unnecessary is all that matters to such a seller. Casting sellers generally take a more responsible approach to this matter and value their reputation.

Appearance

I can’t get enough of gorgeous jars; I love to touch and gaze at them.

I find the visual element—a stunning jar—to be very significant.

I am reliant on gorgeous jars; they serve as my toys.

Indeed, the castings don’t have a nice appearance. Generally speaking, the factory packaging’s stunning and brand-new appearance prevails. wealthy and costly. One has the chance to assess the usability and design. Looks gorgeous displayed on the bathroom shelf. This is also significant because it sets the tone and is generally more enjoyable. However, the product’s impact remains the top concern.

Poll results

We appreciate each and every one of you taking the time to complete the survey and actively sharing your opinions in the comments.

  • A total of 90 people took part in the voting.
  • 23.9% of respondents consider castings an unacceptable option for themselves and prefer to buy products in full volume at once.
  • 8% of respondents have tried castings and for some reason did not like this format.
  • A significant part (30.7% of respondents) bought products in castings and they like this format.
  • And the majority – 37.5% of respondents have not yet tried castings, but would like to.

I made an effort to discuss castings from every angle and to weigh the advantages and disadvantages impartially. Everyone makes their own decisions regarding whether or not to accept products in castings.

If you want to change up your hairdo with less work, drips are a great option. More length, volume, or color allows for a wider range of styling possibilities that may not be possible with natural hair alone.

But it’s crucial to consider any possible drawbacks. Time-consuming maintenance may be required, and damage may result from incorrect application or care. Furthermore, they might not be comfortable for long-term wear for everyone.

Ultimately, your lifestyle, hair goals, and level of maintenance commitment will determine if drips are right for you. Think about the advantages and disadvantages before making a decision.

With their crisp, defined lines, drips—a popular haircut trend—offer a contemporary, fresh look that makes them a favorite among those who want a bold look. Even though they can produce a striking appearance, frequent touch-ups may be necessary to maintain the crisp edges, and not everyone may find that the style suits their preferred look or face shape.
