Did you manage to grow your hair? My results of the marathon

Growing hair can be a challenging process with many ups and downs. Whether your goal is healthier hair or longer locks, getting there sometimes feels more like a marathon than a sprint. I made the decision to accept this challenge for myself and began a "hair growth marathon" to see how far I could go. Spoiler alert: Although difficult, the outcomes were unquestionably worthwhile!

I experimented with a variety of techniques during this trip; some came from popular internet trends, others were suggested by friends. I experimented with scalp massages, hair masks, and a few dietary adjustments. Some were a complete hit, while others fell short. But all of that is just a part of the procedure, right? The small habits that ultimately made the biggest difference surprised me the most.

I can’t wait to tell you about my results now. I hope my experience will provide you with some helpful advice and motivation if you’re considering growing your hair or if you just want it to be healthier and stronger. Keep in mind that every person has unique hair, so you just need to figure out what suits you the best!

Week Progress and Observations
Week 1 Started with a hair growth serum and scalp massage. Noticed my hair felt softer and healthier.
Week 2 Kept up with the routine. Slightly more volume, but no noticeable length yet.
Week 3 Hair feels stronger and looks shinier. Small increase in length.
Week 4 Seeing more length now! My hair grew about half an inch.
Week 5 Continued the same routine. The hair is fuller and healthier, and I’m noticing less breakage.
Week 6 Reached one inch of growth! Very happy with the progress. Hair feels great.

It can be a difficult journey to grow out your hair, requiring perseverance, dedication, and trial and error with various hair care techniques. I’ll discuss my personal experience taking part in a hair growth marathon in this post, along with the actions I took, the products I used, and the highs and lows I encountered. You’ll learn what I tried and didn’t try, as well as the unexpected outcomes I got. If you’re having trouble growing your hair or are seeking motivation to begin your own hair journey, my story may provide you with the guidance and inspiration you require.

What I entered the marathon with

Allow me to briefly remind you about my hair:

  • Hair length at the beginning of the marathon – 63.5 cm.
  • Straight
  • Low-porosity
  • Unpainted
  • Thin
  • 10 cm. tips are badly damaged

I went into this marathon with the following objectives:

  • Hair growth – 5 cm.
  • Preservation of ends and length in good quality
  • Not to cut my hair, I want to go a year without cutting the ends.

I had the following makeup when I started the marathon:

Growth stimulation

In order to encourage the marathon’s growth, I used:

1. Daily massage of the scalp. I’ve already made it a habit to give myself a five to ten minute finger massage. Massage is very relaxing as well as increasing blood circulation.

2. Once a week, use warming masks.

I’ve previously used a lot of jars of the pepper-infused Compliment mask, but during the marathon, I couldn’t help but try a new product for myself: a ginger mask. I chose to begin my relationship with it after seeing that it was offered in a 100 ml volume. The compliment hurts less than the mask. It seemed even more excessive to me the first time. Then this effect grew accustomed to me. I only needed the mask three times, so it’s hard to say how much of an impact it had on hair growth.

I continued to use compliments after it ended, once a week for an hour before I washed. When I didn’t have much time, I would occasionally apply it to my clean roots after washing, but I found that this made my scalp oilier more quickly.

3. Stemoxidine-containing serums. What makes stemoxidine special? I mentioned in a recent post that my itchy scalp prompted me to see a trichologist for the first time. I questioned, "Why does one hair grow from one follicle on my temples, while there are 2-3 from one follicle in other areas?" during our talk. I started to think I might have alopecia, but the trichologist told me it wouldn’t look that way under a microscope, disproving my theory. She talked me out of buying the Vichy ampoules, saying I needed a serum containing stemoxidine because I had some mild hair thinning in this area.

It turned out that I was using the Vichy Densi-Solutions serum incorrectly, even though I had tried it previously in the summer. The expert advised applying the serum daily rather than all at once, as I had done. Furthermore, a month is insufficient. I spent a total of three months using stemoxydine products: After using Vichy serum for two months, I purchased one Loreal serum.

Professional L’Oreal Serioxyl Denser Hair Serum It was much more to my liking. It comes with a handy pipette dispenser, and once applied, your scalp will feel softly and persistently warmed. In addition, I think it smells really awesome. I used the serum every day for about a month.

I also took iron, vitamin D, biotin, and omega 3 internally in addition to everything mentioned above. I made an effort to eat healthily and work out frequently, though it wasn’t always successful.

Length care

I changed the masks under my care in accordance with the plan: moisturizing, nourishing, and restorative. A couple of times a week, I used ampoule care. Numerous new products have also emerged, and some of the funds that were pledged at the start of the marathon have now been used up.

I initially received an Ellelaflower castle. My little helper was compelled to help with the unpacking. )))

Next, a package containing castings from Lena El_Kontanta arrived. Regretfully, I failed to snap a picture.

A short time later, Viktoriab Vika gave me a bag filled with brand-new, delicious hair for participating in Santa.

Furthermore, my hamster stuck in full because it was unable to tolerate sales and discounts.

It all began with Vieso serum discounts on one online marketplace. I was so eager to try them that I bought all three kinds out of greed. Every time I make a mask, I add serums and use them as bullshit after washing. I am happy with them right now, but it is still too early to make judgments about the action.))

There were still deals on various websites after that, so I spent a little more money.

1. Cream Kaaral Royal Jelly.

I tried this fabled mask at last. Like the hydro, she’s already become one of my favorites. The hair is incredibly hydrated, elastic, and nourished afterward, lying beautifully.

2. Reparative Mask Alfaparf Milano Reconstruction.

It was a successful acquaintance, as I had also wanted to get to know this mask for a long time. It has a low consumption, pleasant cosmetic aroma, and a very unusual "stretchy" consistency. Hair always looks polished and well-groomed after using it.

3. Nutri Repair Anti-Breakage Fluid, Cutrin Ainoa.

I purchased this creamy gel leave-in fluid because it has sun protection and I wanted to use it during the summer. I’ve been using the fluid for a few months now because the sun is already very active in my city. It makes me very happy! Even when applied to dry hair, it seems incredibly light, so I don’t think it can possibly get overly dry. With it, my hair’s ends began to behave much better; they became softer and lay more smoothly. I won’t be able to make any conclusions about sun protection qualities until the end of the summer, so it’s too soon to discuss them.

4. The Revlon Professional Equave Detangling Conditioner with Sun Protection.

I purchased this spray in the fall to take the place of another Revlon spray. I chose to completely protect myself because it offers sun protection. )) It has a lovely, light tangerine scent and facilitates hair detangling.

In addition, my curiosity overcame me and I got an order for herbs.

Several times during the marathon I made a mask with amla. I realized that it is ideal for the roots, but my damaged ends do not like such a mask. They became very dry and tangled a lot. I also tried a herbal mask for hair loss on the roots once. And almost at the very end of the marathon I spontaneously decided to dye my hair with a mixture of henna and basma Lady Henna brown. My hair became very shiny, the color became a little darker, but after several washes there was no trace of the dyeing left. Now I do not see any difference in color, the herbs seem to have completely washed out of my hair, and the color became the same as it was before.

I tried 360 Hair Professional’s toning line for dark hair during the marathon, and I was really happy with it.

A brand-new comb also tempted me to comb my hair while I was at work. I decided to go with Janeke.

The comb works well and gently to comb hair, and it did not let me down. I am pleased with both of them thus far, so I can’t say if it is better or worse than Teaser.

I consequently received a lot of new merchandise during the marathon and came to the conclusion that it was time for me to kick my shopaholism. I realized it was time to stop buying because there is no longer anywhere to store the jars and because I moved to a different apartment.

Growing hair is a journey that calls for the correct care, perseverance, and patience. I concentrated on learning what my hair required during this marathon, whether it was nourishment, moisture, or a vacation from styling. I came to understand that consistent care is more important for healthy hair growth than quick fixes.

Everyone’s hair grows at a different rate, so it’s crucial to practice self-compassion and patience. I stayed motivated by acknowledging little victories like stronger strands or less breakage. I was really able to see the little changes that aren’t always evident on a daily basis thanks to the progress photos I took.

I’ve had satisfying results from this hair growth marathon. I may not be as long as I want to be, but I have made progress in terms of thickness, texture, and general health. This experience has taught me that understanding what really works for me and embracing healthier hair habits are equally important steps on the journey to longer hair.

I urge you to be patient, pay attention to your hair, and try new things if you’re considering beginning your own hair growth journey. Learning how to take the best possible care of your hair is just as important as the final product. Continue and never forget that every little step forward matters!
