Why do I need it

I’ve been using Schwarzkopf Professional Igora Royal 7 chemical dye to color my hair for a very long time.1. Tones the length by 1.9% and applies 6% oxide to the roots when gray hair is present. As a result, every month my hair gets progressively worse. This is what got me to thinking about kinder ways to keep the color of my hair while extending the time between coloring sessions.

Extremely porous, dry, harmed by heat sources and coloring. Twenty percent or so of people have gray hair.

After doing some research on toning, I decided to use the Chi tint conditioner. I adore this brand and have complete faith in its offerings. Positive online reviews and a broad range of really intriguing shades drew my attention to it. I decided to go with the enticing "dark chocolate." I adore sweets. 129294;

My choice – Conditioner"Dark Chocolate"

From the manufacturer:

Rich in silk amino acid complex, Dark Chocolate tinted hair conditioner fortifies both naturally colored and colored hair while strengthening the structure of the hair. highlights a natural shade and aids in keeping colored hair shiny and bright until the next salon appointment. Adequate for everyday usage. Dark Chocolate air conditioner is colored in warm, dark brown tones and is intended for people with naturally dark hair. The hair has a rich, warm brown tone thanks to Dark Chocolate. Perfect for hair dyed at 4-6 shades.

  • Country manufacturer – USA
  • Volume – 251 ml.
  • Price – $ 20

Appearance

The air conditioner has a very cozy flip-top lid and is housed in a plastic tube.

I was also drawn to the design, which featured a mirror coating with a gradient that matched the color of the air conditioner.

Consistency

The dense, cream texture makes it incredibly easy to use. Because of its slight slickness, it spreads easily through hair. It’s an average amount consumed. It will take me about two tablespoons of conditioner to cover the entire length.

The item has a deep shade of chocolate. The product’s maker advises against applying without gloves since they may stain your hands as well. Don’t ignore this advice before a big event. I always apply with my bare hands, taking a chance. After that, if you wash them right away, no stains will remain, and your manicure will also look good.

It’s also necessary to rinse with greater caution. The first time I stood in the shower and cleaned off the conditioner. Everything nearby, including the bathtub, the tiles, and the curtain, became generally discolored. There’s no need to carry that out. You can keep the area clean if you wash off the product upside down.

Not to scare you, but not every surface is eatable by the conditioner. Compared to standard chemical hair dye, it is not worse. All you need is regular soap to wash it off.

I put a drop on my skin as an experiment and gave it five minutes. There was just a faint stain that persisted after washing.

Aroma

Most people are probably familiar with the Chi Silk Infusion leave-in’sscent. Okay, so this is it. It met me with happiness in this tint conditioner. It belongs to the men’s perfume category and is incredibly bright and rich. I adore it!

The scent lingers on the hair for a few hours before fading over time.

How to use

The manufacturer recommends:

Light hair toning: Wash your hair with shampoo, rinse and blot with a towel. Evenly distribute Chi Ionic Color Illuminate Conditioner Dark Chocolate along the length of your hair. Leave for 1-5 minutes, then rinse. Use daily. For a more intense and lasting result: Wash hair with shampoo, rinse and pat dry with a towel. Distribute the conditioner evenly along the length of the hair. Let it sit for 5 minutes using additional low-temperature heat, then let the hair cool at room temperature for 10-20 minutes. Rinse and repeat if necessary.
* When choosing a shade and exposure time, you need to consider the initial shade and porosity of the hair. Use gloves. Use daily or 1-2 times a week as desired.

My approach to application:

I use my hands to squeeze my hair after washing it and apply conditioner all the way down its length. I try to avoid getting any contact with the scalp and apply it as close to the roots as I can. Do not heat it for ten to fifteen minutes. Apply it once every seven days.

My impressions and results on my hair

Let me remind you that the purpose of use is to maintain hair color and increase the period between coloring with a chemical dye. I understand that due to gray hair, the roots will have to be dyed at least once a month, but I would like to increase the toning of the length to once every two months. Let"s try!

What then do we have? The image below shows hair in the initial days following chemical coloring. They are especially pleasant during the first week. The ends are more elastic, dense, and the color is uniform. The red deceitfully shows through even though I selected a dye with a chilly undertone, but that’s a different story.

The hair’s quality varies as the pigment is gradually removed. The ends are unappealing and need more attention. One month later, the roots are lighter and the color along the length gets duller.

In order to more accurately gauge its potential at this point, I try to apply the conditioner all the way down the length and as near to the roots as I can, avoiding contact with the scalp.

And it truly is "Wow"! I was ecstatic. Along the length and at the roots, the color became brighter, more saturated, and more uniform. You can see that the red has taken on a reddish tint if you look closely. The warm, chocolate shade was what the manufacturer had promised. 129294;

Overall, I was impressed enough to decide to stick with conditioner-only toning for a while. A few more weeks passed during this experiment. Thus, it has been two months since the dying.

The hair has undoubtedly lightened, but I was even more pleased with the outcome. The shades shimmer exquisitely, the tints are intriguing, and most importantly, I no longer fear warm tones.

To keep the color intense, only one weekly tinting is required. Things are different when you have gray hair. After two to three washes, the pigment is removed.

It’s crucial to remember that because conditioner oversaturates the roots of gray hair as a care product, you cannot completely paint over it.

The conditioner offers fantastic nourishing and restorative care in addition to toning. It can give hair a silky, frizz-free texture. Most notably, though, is that the ends become extremely elastic and soft.

Admittedly, I was hoping for the opposite result. Any toning seems to dry out hair, but Chi has never disappointed me. I noticed an amazing shine from well-groomed hair the whole time! The product is sure to be appreciated by those who own damaged or porous structures. Hair takes on a shiny, healthy appearance! 129294;

It is important to remember that the conditioner works in layers. Even for me, using it daily as the manufacturer suggests is excessive. I sometimes combine the product 1:1 with a moisturizing mask when I realize there is too much nutrition. I can keep the necessary balance in this way.

CHI Ionic Color Illuminate chocolate hair toning is a great way to revive your hair color and bring out its inherent beauty. For those who want to give their hair more depth and richness without sacrificing its vibrant, healthy appearance, this toning technique is ideal.

CHI Ionic Color Illuminate enhances the color and general condition of your hair with its simple application and nourishing formula. For those who want to experiment with a different shade or just keep their current tone in between salon visits, it’s a practical choice.

In the end, this product offers a quick and easy method for achieving a gorgeous chocolate color, leaving your hair looking lustrous and renewed.
