Prehistory, as usual
Macadamia and Dessata, two of my favorite hairbrushes, are no longer in my possession at home. No, the macadamia is unquestionably at home, but I carry it with me, so it might have fallen out when I was getting out of the car. I frequently place something on my lap and then forget how it falls when I get out of the car. I’ve already misplaced a number of hats and gloves. The count has now switched to combs.
There wasn’t much to do in general; I need a new one. Generally speaking, I had already planned to place a specific order for a comb for informational purposes, but since I didn’t have the time or want to wait, I chose to purchase what was offered in my city. I saw a bright purple brush from the Japanese brand Ikemoto and quickly browsed the Internet, deciding I wanted one and going to look for it.
As is usually the case with me, you should definitely grab something else. In the end, I decided to buy two combs instead of just one. I gave in after seeing another baby, only 12 cm.
Every brush comes in its own box with information printed on it, albeit in Japanese. There was no translation on my copies.
I’ll state up front that this was entirely accidental and that I had no intention of searching for any analogs. Majestic Combs is undoubtedly well-known. I was also aware of them, but all I knew about them was that they were manufactured in Japan and were extremely expensive. Afterwards, after keeping an eye on the market, I discovered that Majestic was priced between 5,000 and 20,000 rubles. Really not too bad? I’m not sure about you, but if I even consider purchasing this comb, I personally think I’ll end up in a madhouse.
As I mentioned earlier, I bought my combs from Ikemoto hastily and somewhat impulsively without reading reviews. However, after I made the purchase, I started looking into the details more thoroughly. And how do you feel about the fact that they are referred to as nothing other than, quote:
"a perfect match for the Majestic comb"
"The comb is not lower in quality; rather, it is a complete analogue of the renowned Majestic comb."
Ikemoto DU-BOA Aging Scalp Brush
20 cm in length Working surface dimensions: 10 cmx 4 cmx 3 cm Color burgundy, though I think it looks more like bright purple.
Abstract
A comb from Ikemoto, one of the most established Japanese brands A brush can be used for both styling and shampooing hair. improves hair growth, increases shine and volume in hair, and makes it easier to comb through even the most tangled hair without breaking it off. Special nylon fibers crafted into incredibly flexible bristles efficiently grab and comb hair. Bristle length divided into two levels lifts hair from the roots, giving it more volume. By gently massaging the scalp, the balls at the ends of the bristles encourage the growth of new hair. Static electricity is eliminated by the unique material that makes up the comb.
To prevent overheating above 80° C when using a hair dryer for styling, avoid pointing the dryer directly at the comb. After just one use, the scalp comb with its cleansing and massaging properties leaves the user with a pleasant feeling. The arrangement of the comb teeth is unique; the outer teeth are harder and the inner teeth are softer. The teeth are also different lengths. Furthermore, the comb’s arched shape conforms better to the round shape of the head; this improves the massage effect by allowing the teeth to fit the skin more snugly.
By using the comb, you can give your scalp a more thorough and efficient cleaning, enhance blood circulation, give your hair elasticity and shine, and give it more volume. Hair will become smooth and pliable instead of tangled.
You can use the comb to help remove dirt and sebum from your hair more effectively than if you were to wash it by hand. It thoroughly cleans the scalp’s pores and eliminates all traces of dirt, shampoo, and dandruff from the hair’s roots. Naturally, the comb combs the hair perfectly, smoothing it all the way to the ends and leaving the scalp undamaged. It also leaves the hair looking shiny and elastic. Using a comb to massage encourages blood circulation in the scalp. You can give yourself a simple massage that strengthens and increases blood flow to your hair roots.
Description
The brush is made of plastic in a bright purple, slightly pearlescent shade.
The bristles are soft, plastic, very elastic and flexible light brown and denser transparent, also of different lengths. Arranged in pairs: in one bunch one long – 21 mm and one short – 14 mm.
Each bristle has a protective ball at the tip, which helps to gently handle the scalp without damaging it at all.
The brush is comfortable to hold in your hand by the handle, despite the smooth glossy surface it does not slip out of your hands. It combs your hair perfectly and now I even find it difficult to say what I like more, it or teasers and the like.
As previously mentioned, the bristles vary in length, giving the impression that they are two different sizes—long and short. However, if you look closely, you can see that they are all slightly different in size; some are slightly longer, and some are slightly shorter. This is particularly noticeable on the middle row’s short, transparent bristles. Though not beneath the ruler, it appears to be the same length.
Impressions
The brush combs hair very softly and gently, without damaging it at all, and also delicately, but at the same time perfectly massages the scalp, both when simply combing and when washing. Yes, it can be used for this purpose, to cleanse the pores of the skin. It combs wet hair well and relatively easily with shampoo applied to it and already foamed. This helps to thoroughly cleanse the hair from the remains of leave-in products, cleanse the scalp from dead cells, and also helps to evenly distribute masks and conditioners.
I do not use a comb with every hair wash to cleanse the scalp, I still think that this is too traumatic, but a couple of times a month is quite normal.
I am 100% satisfied with this brush and now use it on a regular basis.
Let’s talk about the baby brush now.
Ikemoto Seduce
Length – 12.5 cm
Working surface: length 6.5 cm, width 3.2 cm, height 2.6 cm
Color blue
Abstract
Effortlessly untangles hair, regardless of its moisture content. Ideal for dispensing hair care products to hair evenly. ideally combs kids’ hair without harming it, even when it’s wet. has a pleasant massaging effect. eliminates static electricity. The four-piece mounting of the bristles with balls at the ends ensures a gentle touch with the hair and scalp while preventing increased sebum production and having an antibacterial effect because they do not press against the scalp.
Dense bristle arrangement keeps even short hair from being missed and separates fat from stuck-together hair.
Important!
If the brush is uncomfortable or incompatible with the scalp, stop using. Direct application of the product onto the brush could result in its cracking. The brush may become deformed if hot air from a hair dryer is directed directly at it. After giving a soiled brush a thorough wash in warm water using a neutral detergent, let it air dry in the shade.
Description
Because of the brush’s small size and compact design, you can fit it in your purse. Its short handle, which is literally grasped with three fingers rather than the entire palm, made it difficult for me to hold in my hands while combing.
The bristles on this example are different from those on the earlier comb. It is less elastic and more rigid and dense. Four teeth, measuring 20 mm and 17 mm, protrude from each bunch on the body; the longer teeth have a protective ball, while the shorter teeth do not. Four tightly packed bristles may give the brush the appearance of being stiffer, but in my opinion, each individual bristle is still a little bit denser and less flexible than those on the purple comb.
Impressions
Because of its small size, it appears pretty cute from the outside, but I found it to be too aggressive. It combs hair nicely, but tears easily when extremely tangled. My fine hair still looks better with a softer treatment, but it might work well for coarser hair.
Regretfully, my attempt to use it to wash my hair did not work out. Because of its somewhat jagged teeth, I found that using it to wash my hair did not produce the desired results. In contrast to the previous brush, which combs even wet hair perfectly well after shampoo has been applied and foamed on it, these brushes not only irritate the skin but also become stuck a few centimeters from the hair roots and do not go any farther. Even though I bought it more for this use, I will most definitely not use it for washing.
I still did not give up trying to tame this comb at least for regular combing of hair and came to the conclusion that a full-size version (there is one), 20 cm long, would be more convenient for me due to the larger working surface and perhaps the impressions from use would be different. I think size does matter after all.
I still got used to this little one and I comb her hair quite well periodically at home, when it is not too tangled. But I can’t imagine the moment when I am running around on business, my hair is flying in the wind and rubbing against my hat, tangling naturally, and I take and comb it with this brush without trauma. It tears my hair and I do not experience pleasure from using it.
I reiterate that it functions fairly well with a little tangling at home.
The item was listed for 800 rubles, but I later discovered it was only 600. In this unusual instance, I may feel a little guilty about the money I spent.
