A fresh start is ideal in the spring, and that includes giving your hair some much-needed TLC. Our locks frequently require a little extra care to recover to their best quality after months of severe winter weather. The goal of this challenge was to address common hair problems and revitalize hair using a variety of efficient treatments and routines.
We experimented with a variety of hair care methods during the marathon, including deep conditioning treatments and novel styling routines. Determining which strategies actually produce outcomes and make a difference was the aim. We’ve tried everything, from reviving lifeless hair to preventing breakage and dryness, to see what works and what doesn’t.
We’ll go over the main conclusions and highlights from our spring hair care marathon in this post. You’ll discover insightful information that can help you achieve healthier, more vibrant hair, whether you’re looking for hairstyle ideas or are just interested in the newest fashions. How the marathon went
With post-covid hair loss starting, I went into the marathon with extreme caution. In addition to being fairly thin, I experienced severe stress-related hair loss in the summer of 2022. And once more right here.
To be honest, I was prepared to stop at any time and begin again. I kept a close eye on the canvas’s quality and the cut’s state. I snapped photos with various outfit backgrounds, prepared to see the summertime horror at any second. I even mentally readied myself for a bob, something I detest and find unflattering.
About hair loss and emotions
I hid and waited for the horror in February. My hair was violently falling out of me. I pulled a red hedgehog out of the drain mesh every day. I removed the identical one from the comb, albeit dry.
When there isn’t any hair loss, there’s hardly any hair left on my comb.
With loss after illness, you just need to wait until the body recovers and understands that there is no panic. I took vitamins, watched my diet, went to workouts and rubbed in serum. To lift my spirits, I bought myself a new comb: Ikemoto du-boa. And I realized that this is the perfect comb. It is incredibly soft, detangles and combs the length insanely gently. Hair is literally transformed after. It is so beautiful that I use it for drying, and blow-drying, and for combing during the day. You want to hold it in your hands, you want to use it. I will definitely buy myself a miniature version of the comb Ikemoto for a bag.
March was a breakthrough month for inspiration. Even strangers can’t tell that I’m not happy with my hair despite the hair loss. I enjoyed taking care of it, making plans, and purchasing jars.
By the middle of the month, there was a wave-like pattern to the hair loss, with periods of less and periods of more. Even though there was hardly any hair on the comb at the end of the month, I remained vigilant. However, many still came loose while washing. It reminded me unsettlingly of the slow hair loss that used to happen after immunization.
I kept an eye on hair quality and loss in April. I made the decision to get tested when the hazy shedding persisted. Naturally, the ferritin level was 25, which is within the acceptable range but insufficient for hair. My haemoglobin and iron levels are normal. I don’t require any medication.
Only a physician should be consulted before using iron supplements! Iron preparations have the potential to cause serious side effects. Overdosing is a risk factor!
I decided to take an iron supplement from Nature’s Bounty, which is readily obtainable. I also considered digestibility. Iron is erratic, incompatible with a wide range of goods, and the body cannot absorb it when taken in combination.
Iron and cereals, dairy, nuts, legumes, and coffee don’t mix well. Moreover, consuming tea in large quantities is not advised. Fruits and vegetables help with absorption.
Vitamins and nutritional supplements are typically taken in the morning, and my preferred breakfast is cottage cheese or milk porridge served with a cup of coffee. And I drink an incalculable amount of tea at work during the day. Iron is hopeless.
Naturally, I can’t give up my favorite breakfast foods, but I bring a bottle of water to work and I’ve switched out the tea for water. I take my iron three hours post-breakfast.
After a few days, the loss of hair actually decreased! Currently, a little bit more or less comes out depending on the situation. Still, I believe that the hair loss is back to normal!
I got myself a silk elastic band as a reward. My hair gives me excruciating headaches at the slightest tension, and at the end of spring, an exacerbation of my cervical osteochondrosis broke me. A braid might be uncomfortable as well. However, nothing hurt while I walked for three hours with a silk elastic band in a bun. This made me very happy, and I decided that going forward, all of my elastic bands would be silk. I found micro elastic bands for braids right away and purchased them. While they sleep, they maintain the braid’s flawless hold and its smooth, soft tip. I also considered using a silk pillowcase.
Transformation of care
I used this set to begin the marathon:
- Mask and conditioner Insight Damaged
- Peeling Ice proffesional by Natura Siberica
- Conditioner Vieso with argan
- Ampoule Vieso honey
- All products Kaaral. I gave the masks to my daughter, the fluid found new owners, the ampoules are on sale.
- Shampoo Insight Volumizing, which I liked so much in winter, with the arrival of warm weather it stopped working. The roots lost their freshness in the evening and I was haunted by a nasty chalky coating.
Just Pantene shampoo and cream Vieso Yes, among the participants in the marathon, Shape Mousse from 360 Hair Professional made it to the finish line. And that’s it. Due to hair loss, I hardly ever used mousse.
I happily bought new jars this spring and totally revamped my hair care regimen. Read more about buying here. Added shampoo Vieso with Cypress later on based on information not covered in the post. I use it as my daily shampoo now.
My hair, and I, rejoiced when Vieso returned to the center of attention. The unduly smooth texture that I found objectionable vanished. Hair started to get more voluminous and lively.
About growth stimulation
My hair grew out because of the Zeitun mud mask and Kleona serum.
The mask left the marathon almost immediately – I just did not have time. It should be applied before washing on damp skin. This takes away precious minutes in the morning. The mask also burns the roots and wash it off and I want to wash it off with sulfate shampoo, and now I prefer soft to constant. I will use the mask in the summer, when I don’t have to get my daughter ready for school. Serum Kleona I used from January until the beginning of April together with massage. I really, really liked her "mixed" aroma. It does not affect the fat content. Special overclocking growth I didn"t notice. But the undercoat has grown back significantly. Despite hair loss, there are no bald spots on the temples (usually they are the first to fade).
I switched out the serum for a Daeng Gi Meo Ri tonic in April. It performed a fantastic job of quickening growth last year. It is also a wonderful way to cool the scalp.
